I love waffle house, and the food at this location is consistently pretty good. Unfortunately, today I was served by a young man who was obviously extremely inebriated/on some type of sedative drug. He could hardly keep his eyes open, did not get any of our orders correct, was extremely slow moving, and could hardly speak. I genuinely don't know why the managers wouldn't have sent him home. This poor kid needs a tox screen & his superiors need to actually care/ try and help him, because he obviously needs it. read more

Everytime I go in this place its a wreck and ppl have little ambition to clean or help customers. There were 3 ppl in the whole place at 8:15 pm. Every table had dishes on them. I asked if there were any clean tables and the worker said,"you see it", then turned to talk to another employee. She didn't care one iota to clean a spot. She thought it was funny. One of the better locations for a Waffle House and always a great stop for a quick breakfast! I usually get two All Star Specials and it'll feed me, my wife and the little ones. In my experience this location is typically clean, well staffed, and on top of getting food out in a timely way. The staff is accommodating, friendly, and what you would expect at a small town local restaurant. Overall, you won't be disappointed at this Waffle House and is one of my go to spots for food that I don't have to worry about not being prepared appropriately. All staff had gloves on when they handled food and kept tables clean when it was getting busy so new customers could sit. Even though the credit card machine went down on this visit, the staff were calm and able to get it back running quickit was only a minor inconvenience. read more

I mean, no reason not to give it 5. For a Waffle House, this location is very clean. Even the ladies' restroom! The day we were there, they were slow but the staff was very nice and very attentive. The food was great. We even bought a to-go order of hash browns for breakfast the next day and let me tell ya, Waffle House hungover is even better. Sizzling hash browns, fresh eggs and sausage, and hot fresh waffles is what Waffle House is about. It had been several years since I last had been to a Waffle House, but I was excited to be back. Sat bar style, so we could watch the caahious unfold. We ordered eggs, sausage, a breakfast bowl and a waffle. It took a little bit before our order was started but that's because it was a holiday and they were busy! They cook table by table and each waitress calls it out when the cook is ready for the next order. I thought it was fun to watch and excited to know my meal went from the griddle right to me, hot and fresh. I thought it was cool to see process and was impressed by the fresh ingredients as if I was cooking it all in my kitchen at home. Food was great! I mean really great! The waffle was like eating a vanilla cupcake with syrup and it was delicious. I loved my breakfast bowl and nearly ate every last bite. Just tried to eat there but they said they were closed because the person before them left it dirty. Said there was only one worker but 6 people were there and 2 in uniform. Maybe instead of closing because tables are dirty, you should stop smoking cigarettes outside and clean up the mess so you can stay open. You shouldn't have your friends there while you're working either. read more

So I went to waffle house for lunch. The waiter was extremely nice however I had a hair in my steak. I made a complaint and Dylan the cook who isn't wearing a hairnet with long curly brown hair very rudely said we can't do anything about this it's not mine and gave me 10% off a uneaten steak instead of maybe preparing me another one. So not only did I leave the restaurant still hungry but I won't be going back. We go to this same location every single week. Not again. read more

Service was friendly and fast. Only real problem was a new cook that didn't quite have the lingo down (so the servers had to translate back for him). Food was ok. The omlet was perhaps a bit overdone and toast a bit cold. Certainly not a 5 star performance, but would have been 4. I took another star of four the parking. This particular location is my favorite. I think they have the best staff and it's the cleanest. My son recently chose this place for his birthday lunch. He's a simple little man that appreciates a good breakfast. Let's be real; it all taste pretty good. My kiddos fave is a chocolate chip waffle with sausage. I always steal a bite or two. I agree; it is delicious! Crispy outside with a fluffy inside. I've never been disappointed with my bacon, egg & cheese on a Texas toast with hash browns. I'm not one to get fancy with my hash browns. No smothered, converted, etc. The service is always fast and friendly. I feel like the wait staff here really engages with their customers. Did you know that if you bring your waffle house hat back you get a free waffle? This might be only for kids and it might only be at this location. Still how great?!?! It's not fancy, but how fancy do you need breakfast to be. If you're hungry, want good food, and want it fast; this is the place. The best part...it's open 24/7! read more

My husband & I first went to another restaurant famous for a good breakfast, but there was a 45 minute wait. We decided to try this Waffle House on Madison Pike. When we walked in, we were told there would be a 20 minute wait. The hostess apologized for the wait & offered us a seat & coffee. The wait was shorter than expected. Our waitress was pleasant & quite efficient. My husband ordered a gigantic breakfast with eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, waffle, and everything else he could think of. I ordered one waffle with strawberries & blueberries in the mixture. It was scrumptious. When we received the bill, it was only $16 & change. Of course, our server deserved a nice tip. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wanted great service & a delicious breakfast. They also serve lunch & dinner but not tried that yet. read more

I love Waffle House and normally go to the one in Hebron ky. I went to the one on Madison pike on a break from class and Chris the cook put gloves on after washing his hands for maybe 40 seconds, put raw bacon on the skillet, didn't change gloves after touching raw bacon, scratched his head and moved his hat, with the same pair of gloves still on, and then when he went to see if my Waffle was done, placed his whole hand on top of the waffle (still wearing the raw bacon gloves he itched his head with) then served the waffle and bacon to me. I am absolutely disgusted. He still is wearing the same pair of gloves and went in the back to get something and came back out to start making more people food and he has yet to change his gloves once.
