The other night I was in the store it must have been 1:30 in the in the morning I started feeling chest pains the second I walk through the door I believe the air conditioning was out I could feel a massive wave of humidity hit me in the face as I looked around the restaurant for a booth. When all the sudden I had major pains going down my left arm I felt stiffness in my jaw my chest felt tight as a drum and I fell down to my knees and collapsed on the floor and along came this waitress I didn't know her name all I knew is she liked a lot of cats how could I tell because her clothes smelled like cats if you catch my drift but I didn't care I didn't care because I was dying of a heart attack right there on the tile floor of a Waffle House my God if my mother saw me now she'd be rolling in her grave down in Foley but anyway I digress this girl slung me over and started doing CPR on me right there in the restaurant she did mouth the mouth on me and I could tell she was chewing bubble gum I don't like bubble gum because it has that kitty kind of bubble gum flavor I'm definitely a orbit gum man myself. Okay I was seriously dying folks I could feel the cold clammy tile floor on the back of my neck I knew my days were numbered and she did compressions on my chest and breathe that bubblegum breath into my mouth all the sudden I felt my tongue swelling up I was like oh my God what is it I was going into anaphylactic shock. After hours in the ER, I discovered I have an allergy to cat urine... Who woulda known. But I am forever indebted to this heroic waitress that came to my rescue and saved my life. I am such a blessed man to be around another day thanks to my Waffle House heroin. read more

Rolled into this Waffle House hoping for breakfast and normal human behavior. Instead, I got a cook who came to work like he lost a bet and intended to make sure everyone else suffered for it. This man was SLAMMING pans, plates, utensils -- I thought he was trying to tenderize the entire building. The staff and customers were tiptoeing around like we'd wandered onto the set of a hostage negotiation. Nobody made eye contact. Nobody breathed too loud. We all silently agreed not to poke the bear. Look -- the food was fine. It's Waffle House. They could cook hashbrowns during a tornado. But it's hard to enjoy breakfast when you're waiting to see whether the next loud crash is your plate or the cook rage-quitting through the front window. This location is ultra convenient for me, and nothing hits the gut better than a meal from Waffle House every once in a while. I LOVE their waffles, and they offer a few variations-- chocolate chip, blueberry, etc. The service is usually great too. I've noticed a big change in staff, but most everyone is really friendly. Sometimes the music is played a bit too loud, but they're understanding and accommodating about reducing the volume if asked. Since WH quit serving salads, it's difficult to get ranch as a condiment now. Bring back the ranch dressing! Writing this makes me crave a waffle (plain OG) or some hash browns ATW... Yum! read more

This was honestly one of the nicer waffle houses we have been to. My husband has a special place in his heart for the big WH (child hood memories), so we usually stop at one at some point in our travels every year. It's a Waffle House. Don't expect meticulousness from the staff or a bathroom attendant. But the coffee was hot and the food was good! Our eggs actually had less oil than when we make them at home! The waffle was perfectly crisp and really hit the spot. The building needs some work, there were some visible water leaks coming through the ceiling - that was off putting. But it did not directly effect our meal. We went mid hurricane weather and were very thankful to have a hot meal! Our waitress was kind , quick, and delivered our order as requested. We had several offers of refills and were asked many times if there was anything else we needed. I would return to this location! read more

This was the only restaurant we could find open after driving all day on Christmas. We were starving and WH is not a regular stop. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff were so friendly and we got our food so fast and they were busy! I overheard one waitress say she had been there 14 hours! Our waitress Lindsey was suffering with a hurt back but was still attentive and friendly. The other Lindsey said they were there to feed people, after we thanked them for working on Christmas. I travel constantly for work, and I like to eat at Waffle House... but not this one. It was very dirty, the staff was very lax and most of the food was overcooked. I generally don't worry about C19 at restaurants, but at this location E. coli or other general food poisoning is a real concern. Tables were filthy, cooking area was a shamble, and the syrup bottle the waitress handed me was smeared with food from previous customers. There are other locations nearby - I suggest you try them instead. read more

"Mom, do you want to go spend some quality time together?" - Early morning texts from my youngest son. Translation: "Hey Mom, will you take me to the Waffle House?" This is our place! I used to take my kids to WH and Blockbuster on Friday nights and it became our thing. My dad took me there as a kid. I've been ordering the same thing my whole life: cheese and eggs breakfast, hash browns instead of grits, raisin toast and sausage. I've also ventured out once or twice and tried the BLT and Bert's chili. It was great too, but not good enough to distract me from the cheese and eggs. The boys love the waffles, plain and with all the toppings. You can't beat the Waffle House prices and the service at this location is always fantastic! The place is always clean. read more

This one is better described as a local diner where you can get friendly local service and good hot food. It's clean and well tended to. This is the WORST experience I have ever had in any restaurant. The people were insanely rude, the "manager" obviously didn't care, the amount of people that were turned away was crazy. I've never seen a business turn down so many customers because of a "turndown" /turnover, whatever the crap the lady kept saying to people as they were trying to come in and eat. Just keep in mind, it wasn't that they couldn't serve them, but they had one specific place they wanted them to sit in... so I'm not sure what the issue is (not covid related/limited seating). It was so evident that they obviously don't care about customer service and their business. What a joke. We were turned off by their awful service, but only stayed because it was late and we had hungry kids (ball game). Visited here after a late flight into Mobile. Ordered eggs with a waffle. Third bite into waffle I looked at my plate and had three hairs under the bite I just picked up. Waitress and waiter happen to be standing right in front of me. I picked my plates up and handed it to the waitress. Her response was " not my hair". Waiters response " not my hair". Waiter says he will take that off my bill. I said you need to comp the whole check. I was ignored. I slide the check closer and said I was not joking. He walked over and got with the cook (who's hair it was that I found in my plate), they stood there with their back to me. After discussing the cook went back to grill and waiter came back in front of me and set check down and neither said a word. Not a good way to treat customers. read more

Our favorite Waffle House on the Eastern Shore. Only a few blocks from the one on 98 but I think there are less transients at this one. That's not meant as a knock on the 98 location but more than likely a byproduct of the hotels next door. This location always gets you in and out and service is always with a smile. read more

I come here quite frequently and I've never had service like I did today. My friends and I came in to eat breakfast and all of the tables were dirty, so we were waiting for one to be cleaned and the one we wanted to sit at was still dirty. The waitress , Jen, had an attitude because she had to clean it and was telling the other workers "there's two clean tables down there". When we clearly saw them but didn't want to sit there. Then when the table was clean we sat down and she didn't even speak to us, she put out silverware and menus down and walked away without asking how we were doing or what we wanted to drink. She was very rude and I'll never go back to that Waffle House, but instead go to the one down the street on 98 because the service there is fantastic. read more

Poor service and messed up order. Don't use this Waffle House! I called in a to go order and when I showed up they didn't have my order. Finally one of the waitresses said she held my order and forget to call it out. I waited for my order and when I got home I realized my sandwich was wrong. I called and was told to bring it back for a new sandwich. I left my house a second time and returned the order. The manager walked out my new order. When I got home I realized the entire order was wrong. When I called back the manager said he gave me the wrong order. I threw the food away and requested a full refund. Which I have to return one day this week to pick up the refund. I came back to town after a long holiday trip and just wanted a good breakfast before laying down.
