We rolled into town and were super excited to have some great, local seafood. Boy were we disappointed. Out of 11 of us, one didn't have any complaints and she had a burger and side salad. Oysters with a bad aftertaste Seafood gumbo, bland and mostly liquid. Shrimp, bland. Grilled mahi sandwich, dry with no flavor. Flash fried cauliflower, very oily with a horrible aftertaste. Prices were at a price point that we expected far better than was delivered and larger portions would be a start. The French Fries were really good. Seafood must not be their specialty. The first clue should have been the Gold Fish in the aquarium at the entrance. read more

We stopped by The Waterfront on our way home from the beach in FL. Hadn't gotten enough seafood and fellow Yelpers helped us find this hidden gem. It's literally on the Bay, with excellent views, a classy but casual decor and outstanding food. Easy to get to just off I-10. We had the jalapeño corn bread, fried shrimp and oysters, along with side salads. Our server was in training but both were very friendly and accommodating. Dinner for 3 of us at the Waterfront. We sat out on the deck and enjoyed the view and live music. Our food was very good but the choices were limited. We were looking for more options but what we had was good. Service was intermittent but finally got our meals ordered. Our main course came out before our salads. That was disappointing. With all the other choices in the area, not likely I would revisit. 4 stars though for the quality of the food. read more

The manager Cori is the best, she got us to a table right away! We sat at bar first and had an appetizer and a fabulous bushwacker with Sarah and she was a doll!! Both of the bartenders were awesome! They made sure we had everything we needed, 1 was even sick but she did a good job! Once Cori got us seated outside, and it was beautiful overlooking the water, a young lady was our server, she was nice. I had a salad and the citrus salad dressing tasted like oil and vinegar, it was awful. I had the blackened ribeye sandwich and although the steak was very tender whatever it was dressed in was horrific! I never complained but I know if I would have Cori would have fixed it. I was delightfully surprised by the quality, speed, and service I recieved at this unassuming little place. My food was great, one of the better eats i've had on my stay, and the desserts were incredible. We arrived around 4:15 pm and were greeted by 3 lovely young ladies and we requested to be seated outside. This was our first visit and the view did not disappoint! While we were waiting on our food the birds put on a show. Kennedy our server was extremely friendly and on top of her game. I had the shrimp tacos blackened and the mango salsa was delicious! My friend had the special which was the cheeseburger and he said the beef was fresh ground and fully covered. He will definitely order again. One of the best cheeseburger's he has had. Because of the service and the view we will be back to try other great food!!! FYI, looking at our check they do charge a Credit Card Surcharge of (3.00%). This is the second time I have come here because I want to make sure I give an honest review not a fluke. The first time I was disappointed and it did not change for this time. I do want to say the bartender Blake makes a pretty good Bloody Mary and the price was cheaper than I expected. Now let's talk food. I ordered the Bill E's bacon $12 for 4 pieces. It was good. Served with syrup. All in all I felt ok about that. But it did seem to be the thick cut bacon from Rouses. As for the fried shrimp and oyster platter. Didn't really see a platter at all. I got a bowl of French fries with 5 shrimp and 3 1/2 oyster for $24. Price definitely didn't match. Name alone says half and half. As for the taste...very forgettable. Very disappointed in the food. Especially for the price. After some thought....i should have gone to Kravers. At least I would have got full and have flavor. read more

This is a wonderful local restaurant located on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. We sat outside with a great view of the bay and Mobile. Our server was spot on with recommendations and was there when we needed her. My wife had the Seafood Goblet and fried CRB Claws and I the Seafood Trio. Her goblet was not only amazing looking but delicious. It contained shrimp, octopus, and squid. The trio was fried flounder, oysters, and shrimp on a bed of fries. All were cooked perfectly. Everything was reasonably priced for Gulf seafood. The one thing I would suggest, add coleslaw to the menu as an option to fries. read more

Everything was good. Ambience is good, service was super fast, server didn't really seem like she wanted to be there, but I was in a good mood so I just kept trying to make her laugh. Food came out, ridiculously fast. Some people might not like that, but I was totally fine with it because it was me and two tiny children. Everything was pretty solid until the desserts. They were FANTASTIC! We got the grilled pound cake and the lemon curd. Good gosh Almighty. It was literally like an entire cup of lemon card. My two-year-old and I demolished it in about 14 seconds. The grilled poundcake was equally as good. We went at night so we couldn't really see the water but what we could see was really pretty. And the fish tank upfront has a turtle that likes to give you the hairy eyeball. We will definitely be back if we are in this area. read more

I visited The Waterfront with four girlfriends on our way down to 30A for a Mom's weekend. We sat outdoors and the view of the water was amazing and the air was cool and fresh. The cocktails were perfect, the local blonde was my favorite. We ordered nearly everything on the menu and it was all delicious. The cauliflower and deviled egg appetizers were my favorite. The tuna nachos were huge and divine! And the blackened shrimp tacos were fresh and delicious. We definitely plan to return. The waterfront was exceptional and did not disappoint. read more

The food was really good. I could have eaten the Seafood Goblet by itself. It was amazing with shrimp, crab, heart of palm, lots of great stuff. Seriously that is a very shareable app. You just will not want to. My wife and son both had The Royal and they loved it. Bread to shrimp ratio was spot on. Fries were not as crispy and fresh as the first time we went. We did not complain!! The Shrimp on the Po Boy was really good. I felt like there was too much bread for the amount of shrimp - is that a nice way of saying there should have been more shrimp!?!! Also, the sandwich was a little dry. They have a lime aioli and a side of remoulade. It needed all of it, and I also added some spicy mayo. Julianne provided great service for us and recommended a great wine that went perfectly with the order. It was the Wente Chardonnay - we love Wente wines so I knew it would be good and it was really spot on!! The ambience was beautiful outside. Just be prepared if you sit outside. During this time of the year that the sun in your face can be an issue. Cori, the general manager, dropped by our table. She was at Ed's when Barbara and Ed owned it. Had dinner there earlier in the week .We ordered the Mahi bites for our appetizer. The fish was overcooked with a tough texture and lacked flavor. I ordered the Red Fish special , the red fish was dry and the vegetable medley was undercooked. The catfish taco special was much better but the tortilla's were cold and didn't seem to be fresh. Best dish was Seafood Goblet, sooo fresh (even on a Monday afternoon!!). This cold appetizer/salad is stuffed with lots of refreshingly cold cocktail shrimps & calamari rings + little full octopi. It's very lightly dressed with vinaigrette on a fresh garden mix of arugula, Bibb, etc. and a great chopped mix of onion, red & yellow peppers, fresh herbs.
