On a satruday night very busy as usual. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. Our waitress Lee was excellent throughout our visit. We started with bbq shrimp, amazing flavors in the sauce. Then salads, nice and cold with tasty dressings. I had the wedge again and the combo of bleu cheese and vinagarette is very good. Next she had the tripletale fish special and they enjoyed it, it was a large piece of fish as well. I had the red snapper with an amazing medley of vegtables that was more than I could eat and had great textures and flavors. This was a great meal and experience. We will be back.

Raw oysters, and oysters, Rockefeller. Absolutely delicious.

I had out-of-town visitors that wanted to try a variety of seafood. Tamara's has a great variety of food and even happy hour drinks. We all had something a little different, but we were all very pleased with our entrées. We started off with raw oysters and oysters Rockefeller that were amazing. I had the seafood platter that was cooked to perfection and so much food that I had to take half of it home. The special was a triple tail fish that not only tasted delicious but looked as good as it tasted. Two of the entrées came with the Gouda mashed potatoes and you couldn't beat the flavor. It was definitely busy but our server was very attentive and made our night one to remember.

My wife and I had brunch on Saturday morning. We got there just before they opened and stood outside with 2 other groups of people waiting to get in. By the time we left, the place was packed. Prince was our waiter and he did an excellent job. I had the Chicken & Waffles with a side of Bacon and Gouda Grits and the Bloody Mary Bar. My wife had the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict and a Mimosa. The food and drinks were delicious. We sat in the bar area and I noticed they had a nice selection of bourbons.

Came in for brunch on mardi gras parade day. Cameron was there and all dressed up. Butler was behind the bar as well. Food was delicious and I had a mystic mule made with crown blackberry it was delicious! Side salad was drenched in dressing next time I'll ask for it on the side. Shrimp and grits were amazing and omelet had peppers onion mushrooms and delicious large shrimp. They had a Bloody Mary bar set up. Staff is always friendly and the place is top notch clean.

Tamara's was a very nice surprise for our girls party of 6. Accommodated us quickly, and the service was wonderful. She Crab Soup was on the menu and I encouraged the ladies to try it. They are family from the west coast. They loved it! We enjoyed a bottle of champagne with three juices to make mimosas. The fried green tomatoes with crab were fabulous! Highly recommend Tamara's!

    Short rib special!

Tamara's Downtown in Fairhope is an excellent spot for an elevated dining experience with a relaxed coastal feel. The ambience is warm, inviting, and perfect for a nice night out, and the service was attentive, professional, and top-notch throughout the meal. I ordered the filet with a side of sweet potato fries, and everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. A fantastic overall experience and a place I'd absolutely recommend when you're in Fairhope.

We're from out of town and are so glad we chose Tamara's! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. If I had to pick one thing that wasn't my favorite, it would be the French onion soup--it just didn't quite hit the mark for me. On the bright side, the mimosa was perfectly strong, the rest of the food was incredible, and the service was top-notch. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. The atmosphere is a little more upscale but not at all pretentious, which we really appreciated. It's a great spot for a nice meal without feeling overly formal. We loved our visit and would definitely recommend Tamara's!

We went for Sunday morning brunch with a party of 10 and had the best time!! They seated us promptly and our server was so attentive. Everything was brought out quickly and correctly. We had a variety of food between eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles and more. I loved the kids menu as well! Prices were on point with how much food everyone got. Nobody could finish their plate! Highly recommend and will return.

My wife and I were in Fairhope for an overnight stay and enjoyed our time here immensely and ONE of the reasons our stay was, and will be, so memorable is the meal we had tonight at Tamara's. It was just a wonderful culinary experience from beginning to end. From the moment we walked in we loved the the ambience, the lighting, the intimate feeling at the tables. Our server was Faith and she was simply terrific - friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She's an asset to this place. And then the meal began and it was ON. The appetizer was Roasted Brussels with goat cheese bacon and balsamic and it was DELICIOUS. That could have been a meal. That paired wonderfully with a Lavender Martini. For our mains we had Rack of lamb with mint jelly, potato gnocchi, spinach, crimini mushrooms and heirloom tomatoes. It was an absolute symphony of flavors. Our other main was Blackened mahi mahi over Gouda mashed potatoes, sautéed spinach, heirloom tomatoes, with garlic Parmesan sauce. It was another home run and, again, the variety of flavors was fantastic. Just a fabulous experience all around. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

The chicken was cooked perfectly. It wasn't "too fried." The game changer here was they put pimento cheese on it. At first I was confused -- but once I took a bite, my life changed. I don't know if I'll ever be able to eat fried chicken again without pimento cheese. My boyfriend ordered the hushpuppies -- a "delicacy"I'm not normally a fan of. However, these hushpuppies were by far the best ones I've ever had. They were so moist, not overly fried, and was served with an amazing butter. I highly recommend Pearl! Very friendly people here. Our view was the kitchen, they seem to accomplish quite a alot for the kitchen size. I started out with gumbo, very interesting mix of contents, sausage, shrimp, short rib (menu says chicken), a dark roux and a scoop of potato salad in the middle, very tasty and different. Next she had the pork chop with peach and bacon chutney over pimento cheese grits. The Pork chop was perfect. The chutney, one bite was very heavy on the vinegar. I had the fried chicken tasso gravy, hot honey, marinated sweet potato. This was an exceptional dish and was full when I finished. It was a good experience. Given it was a Friday night at 6ish. It was very loud and vibrant tonight. We will be back.

Our waitress blamed the kitchen for every mishap. One mistake, ok two mistakes and more, not buying it. We tried ordering drinks but our waitress had no idea what kind of wine they sold so she had to go check. When she returned we ordered drinks and when the drinks showed up we ordered the small beef and cheese dip, they also brought chips and salsa that was very tasty. She ordered a fahita steak quesadilla, she said it was very salty and average at best. I had the enchilada supreme with no sour cream, I was very clear and even said it twice. Our meals showed up before our "starter" beef and cheese dip. Mine had sourcream on it so I asked them to fix it as ordered. Next the dip showed up and the cheese had a thick skin over top of the cheese, it too was average. My enchilada showed up and it appeared they scraped off the sour cream and re applied the lettuce, etc. The problem is by then, the enchiladas were not very hot and the fries were soggy, luke warm and not crispy. The manager did come over and asked about our meal, I replied it was just ok, that was as nice as I could be. He offered to make it good on our next visit, I told him not to do so, he said he could fix it, but our meal was over at this point. We will likely try other mexican restaurants in the area before we attempt to come back to give them another chance. On any day a restaurant can fail.

Dropped into the Bayside Grill on night 1. Requested a table, and they took my phone number (obviously to text me when it was ready)... they then gave our table away to another party because we "walked away" (we stepped just outside the door by their back patio). When confronted, they said "we couldn't find you"... you had my NUMBER! They apologized for the poor communication but offered the choice of a 45 minute wait or sitting at two different tables. Finally got seated at a make shift combination of circular tables that they graciously but awkwardly pressed together. The server was beyond flustered and unprofessional - apron a complete mess and falling off, confused, and generally frazzled... bro are you on vacation too? How many drinks have you had? The table we should have gotten looked like the waitress was managing the party pretty well. It took 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive, another 45 minutes for the apps to arrive. Then another 20 minutes for the entrees. The food was good. Legitimately tasty! Or maybe my entire party was just starving by this point (kids started to melt). The apps were good, most of the entrees and sides were good, the ribeye had good flavor but lacked a good sear, and the espresso martini was watered down (nobody at the table finished theirs). Really hoping that they're having "opening day" type troubles since it's one of the first busy weekends of spring... but I expected a significantly higher level of service based on the staff at check in. I would have thought that being in the business for over a hundred years would have helped construct solid processes and procedures. Cheers to 4 more days in Fairhope.
