I had to update my review... this is a whole brand new staff, we're not sure what happened to everyone from a month ago. We sat out in the inside/outside patio and it was so stuffy, they really should have some AC or something out there. Which is so opposite from before. All the fans were off. I had the seared ahi. It was ok but the ahi was way too thick and it was COATED in 3 different sauces. I ordered this because I thought it would be on the healthier side since everything there is fried for the most part. The food wasn't the bad part though. It was our service, or lack there of. I don't believe we ever saw a manager so it was non stop horseplay. We never got our waiters name but he was in board shorts and some random shirt. We couldn't get refills, or anything really to save our lives! We even had to go to the bar to get waters. Watching the staff play grab ass the entire meal was not enjoyable. We will never return. This new staff of yours is the worst in fairhope. read more

How is it possible that this restaurant has such beautiful views AND great food? I loved the experience of dining out on the water. The server recommended I get the fresh fish on the half shell, which comes with accoutrements to build your own tacos. Each element of the dish was DELICIOUS. Had a good evening on Sat night. It was considerably warm and everyone was sweating inside the restaurant, but it is hot outside. The food was good, the royal reds being the best at the table. The fish tacos came in last place. Our server Amy made everything great though. She was very attentive without being overly so. Extremely pleasant and helpful. My husband and I wandered in a little after lunch one day having never been there. The building is sitting on the long pier at 1 Fairhope Av. in Fairhope, AL. My husband ordered the Shrimp Boil and in all of our years married, I have never heard him brag so much on his meal in any seafood restaurant. I really wanted to love this place and we ate here about three weeks after they opened and left very disappointed. No draft, 5 things maybe six on the menu on a chalkboard. But I figured I'd give it a little while and come back. I was looking for the view and kind of a dive bar atmosphere, which I absolutely got - so five stars on that and five stars on the staff. The only reason I did three stars was because the mahi fish tacos were so incredibly salty. I couldn't even finish one. The black beans and rice were OK, and I couldn't eat the pico because I had cilantro in it but full disclosure the bartender (sweetie pie), I think her name is Emily, absolutely told me that there was cilantro in there. I don't know maybe I just tried the wrong thing but I'll give it one more go third times a charm. Also, I left smelling like a smoker pit because apparently they smoked the wings and barbecue, which is fine but maybe put it outside? I don't know- I'll give it one more go. read more

I expected overpriced drinks, a self service window and a nice view of Mobile Bay at sunset. Instead we got a smaller menu with tasty dinners. My wife had the smash burger, I had the mahi-mahi tacos. Both were very good. She ordered the Blue Lagoon drink, I opted for plain ole sweet tea. Our waitress ?? Was personable and efficient. Was so excited that they put this space to good use and did a great job on the renovation! The views on the water create a nice relaxing atmosphere. The vibe is laid back, and the menu is a little limited but with enough options to please all. Our food was well prepared and flavorful. He called her lazy for showing us a menu on the table instead of handing us one. None of us were affected by her minor mistake, but all of us were deeply uncomfortable by the manager's treatment of a young employee. Then, our server told us we couldn't split a meal because he was scared to get in trouble. That's when we decided to leave. My server, Emily, was very friendly and suggested some of their specials - pork tacos and caramel drizzled beignets - which were absolutely delicious! Food is really good when it's good. Lots of turnover a month ago or so, so some rough edges. Some of the staff were incredibly nice (hats off Tommy and Butler and woman at the front) some not (anonymous manager). 'Red royal' (low country bowl) great, wings were skinny, fried shrimp was unexpectedly spicy, pork taco was tasty but not well trimmed.... Mocktails charged as if they had alcohol so ask for the booze on the side to give someone else ($11 for a mocktail???) Soda refills not free. No printed menu so our poor waiter had to repeat it 6-8 times for all of us to understand, and still a few specials not mentioned. PERFECT location, great place to watch the sundown! Stopped by Sunday for lunch after early church. It was warm out so decided to sit inside. Place was nice and on a cool day the outside would be beautiful but decided to sit inside. Ordered the Smash Burger as they touted it as "award winning" and it came with fries. The burger was pretty good and so were the fries. My only complaint is that the menu is sparse if you don't eat seafood. About the only options other than seafood were a salad or the one smash burger, no chicken, steak or anything. Anyway, the burger came with pickles and grilled onions at $16. I would have like to have a few options at that price like grilled jalapeños, pimento cheese, goat cheese or something to elevate it. For what it was it was good though. The service was good and fairly attentive, no complaints there. Overall I would say a good 3.5 due to the very limited menu but not bad if you are looking for something they have. read more
