Hidden Gem Inside a Gas Station! If you're looking for incredible Mexican food tucked away in an unexpected spot, look no further than Las Catrinas De Rosy. This little gem is hidden inside a gas station, and while it may not look like much from the outside, the food here is absolutely fantastic! One thing to note is that seating is limited, so you might want to plan accordingly. I also wish they had menus available on the tables--we had to wait until we were ready to order to see the menu taped to the counter at the register. But honestly, the wait was well worth it. I tried the Puffy Tacos (Asada), and they were seasoned to perfection with just the right amount of cheese. My wife had the Carnitas and Barbacoa. While the Carnitas were good, it was the Barbacoa that truly stole the show--so flavorful and tender! Both the red and green sauces were a hit, tasting authentic and adding just the right kick to our meals. I can't believe I didn't discover this place sooner--I've been missing out! I'll definitely be making this a weekly stop. If you're in the area, don't pass up the chance to try Las Catrinas De Rosy. You won't regret it!

    Birria Tacos!! Very good!

Even though it's located in a gas station, the birria tacos were amazing. Highly recommend!

Looking for good authentic Mexican food? This is the place and my go to place for some good tacos and burritos! Located next to the Shell gas station across from Lowe's. Don't let the location fool you. There are plenty of seating inside in nice air conditioning.

I checked this out on the recommendation of the "Staysh Review" Tiktok page, and it did not disappoint. As soon as I entered their area inside the gas station, I was warmly welcomed by their staff. The first thing I noticed was the small seating area, but it has that classic feel to it like an old diner or something. I ordered the loaded fries and two puffy tacos. Regarding the tacos, they were off the chain good! The shell was fried to perfection, the ingredients were fresh and tasty. I can't recall the last time I enjoyed a taco this much. The loaded fries were also most excellent! I don't remember everything that was in there, but it was delicious. I ordered mine without the guacamole, but it was still quite good. The puffy tacos were filling so I didn't eat as much of the fries as I should have, and ended up sharing them with my wife when I got home. They could stand to create a smaller size as a side item or something. If there's a downside to this place, it's that it's a gas station, and since I travel a lot, I eat a lot of gas station food to eat on the cheap. This was not cheap food. I spent a lot more than I was expecting to, but the quality of the food definitely made up for it. I'd definitely have those tacos again though!

I ate one so quickly even the camera couldn't catch it! So tiny, so expensive!

First off its in a shell gas station. Next I paid $15.00 for two tiny corn TACOS with a tablespoon of chicken each! And a tiny side of rice and beans. I told girl at counter I would be back once I got a store drink since nothing at their fountain was appealing. She said you can not buy a drink from the gas station and bring it into the restaurant. They occupy the same space and air! Are you kidding me? I got my food bought my drink from the gas station and waited for the police! This place SUCKED!

    Quesadilla Birria and burrito

I was pleasantly surprised! The quesadilla birria and the burrito were both very yummy with good portions. The salsa was more watery than I normally like but it had a good flavor. The street corn was good but very rich. Counter customer service was average. Food came out quickly

Today we dined in a hidden gem inside of the Shell Gas Station on the corner of State Hwy. 181 and US Hwy. 90, Las Catrinas De Rosy - Daphne. The restaurant has counter service with several booth tables to enjoy your meal. Today my husband and I enjoyed the puffy tacos - steak, fish and beef. The tacos came with a couple of different sauces with a fresh cut of lime. These tacos are authentic and really amazing. The puffy taco shells are crisp and delicious. We also enjoyed an order of chips and salsa. Don't miss this casual restaurant in Daphne!!

    Nachos.. so yummy.

Delicious nachos, enough for two as a meal. Best I've had and we order a lot of nachos, from most Mexican restaurants in Baldwin County. They will add anything you want. Very unassuming place in the Shell gas station. Always same man taking orders behind counter and believe me, knows what's going on when it comes to the menu.

It was amazing and I usually hate pour cheese because it makes the chips soggy, but apparently they put it in the oven and crispified ( my word) , and then topped with the cold fixings. I had to get more jalapeños because there wasn't enough. Then we split a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, nice size, also delicious! It too came with the beer cheese and American but I had them put it on the side. Sandra was our server, awesome! Never bothered by me constantly needing something!! Loved her energy!! I ordered a blue moon and for some reason the cook found it offensive that we asked for a glass and oranges. From that point on, it was a staring contest with the cook standing at the kitchen opening staring at us, making comments about the glass and I guess making sure my 21 year old daughter didn't drink the beer, lol. The cook then stood at the kitchen door with her phone to video us for some reason, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL The food was less than spectacular, and definitely won't eat there again. Rude service, rude employees, take our advice spend your money somewhere else. Also no one that was touching the food even had gloves on. I watched our waitress make our salad with no gloves. Upon arriving we noticed the big parking lot, good location, and when we walked in we were greeted immediately. Inside was nicely decorated, dimly lit, and clean. We promptly got sat on a Sunday afternoon, and quickly got served water, got our drink orders, and food orders put in. The brunch menu is from 12-3, with mimosas and bloody Maria's. The bloody was really nice - could tell it had tequila! Old fashion was nice not overly Smokey. Onto the food, the tamales were some of the best I've had. They were HUGE. They came with birria, great consume, flavorful poblano rice, delicious poblano and corn cream (something of that nature) was so creamy and was GREAT. I couldn't believe how hot and fresh everything was. It was some of the best Mexican I've had. My husband enjoyed his chicken as well - it was tender and juicy, good char on the pineapple too. The portions were huge and we didn't eat it all. Good thing we didn't, the chef gave us complimentary dessert (ice cream because we're gluten free)! It was our first time and we'd love to go back. Everything looked and sounded great. Good margarita options, the flight was ordered by the table next to us! The overall cost for us two, although not the worst, but definitely not a cheap brunch was $110 with tip. Hot sauce was $2.50 on the side. A nice treat with friendly staff and good food, but not if you're looking to save some money.

The ambiance absolutely lived up to the hype. It's beautiful, upscale, and has a very romantic atmosphere that makes it feel special from the moment you walk in. We ordered the Maui tacos and the carnitas tacos. Both were delicious, generously portioned, and filling enough that I ended up bringing one taco home. The food was fresh and flavorful, although my taste buds lean more toward the bold Sonoran-style flavors I grew up enjoying. The salsa was sweeter than I expected, and the chips were made from tostada shells rather than traditional tortilla chips, which felt a little unusual and wasn't my favorite. At around $22 per taco plate, it felt a bit pricey for an early afternoon meal, but the portions were generous and we certainly didn't leave hungry. The highlight of the evening was the birthday surprise. Our waitress coordinated a birthday ice cream dessert complete with a sparkler and singing. She completely caught my husband off guard and helped make his birthday celebration extra memorable. For the atmosphere and special experience alone, Tulum is worth a visit.
