Another good experience, not very busy on a Sunday holiday weekend. We ordered at the counter and took a seat pretty quickly and our food followed. It was pretty quiet. I had the Fat boy burrito with chips and guacamole, mine was hot, tasty, and fresh. she had the mayor tacos soft shell. She said the chicken was a bit on the salty side, but still tasty. I am leaving the rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding. I called Taco Mama months ago and had them cater this event. They made this process so easy and the event was absolutely beautiful! Food was fabulous , fresh and well presented! The absolute sweetest lady came to set up & went absolutely above and beyond!! We stopped in here on a whim while passing thru Mobile and it was such a great call! It's like a slow-food Chipotle. I had a veggie burrito bowl and my husband had a steak burrito. We were both very happy with our food and the freshness of the ingredients. The young lady working the register was very kind to describe the menu for us (and everyone who walked in) and explain how their process works. In typical "slow food" fashion, we ordered at a register, chose our own table and the food was brought out to us. Still searching for white people taco Mecca! Went here with my girlfriend after missing a flight for not checking our bags in time, real mistake. I really needed a win after that... Taco Mama grabbed my attention on the pity drive home. I figured taco mama would be a fun alternative to BDubs next door, and my old roommates used to rave about their taco mama experience up in Tuscaloosa. Needless to say, I was hungry with HIGH expectations, and taco mama did not meet either of our expectations. Most importantly, we were served the AHI TUNA* tacos, and my girlfriend got bad fish that we had to return. Besides the potential food poisoning, we got served some uninspiring taco combinations which fell flat in flavor. Besides the flavor, the tacos themselves had an insane price point which was not justified by the portions or flavor... I recently discovered there was a Taco Mama near me. I have been to the Taco Mama on Old Shell a few times. I don't go there often because it's not in an area of the city I frequent much. Seeing there is was a location on Airport was good news. I can't remember what I had the last time I ate here. I just chose at random and my pick was the yo mama. For the side I picked street corn. I ordered online and headed to pick up my food. When I got to the restaurant, there was a person cleaning in the front area where the register was. He quickly asked how he could help. I told him I ordered online. He quickly went to the area where online orders are stored when ready. He could've just pointed me to the area and that would've been no problem at all. It wasn't much for him to do but I did appreciate it. By the way the place seemed packed. When I got home to enjoy my food I went straight to the street corn. I thought I'd had it before but I don't remember it being this good. I mean it wasn't bad before but this time I really enjoyed it. As for the main dish, it didn't disappoint either. The yo mama burrito is just plain delicious. There isn't really anything special to the ingredients other than the queso that comes with it. This place was a nice-open air restaurant to enjoy some casual food with family. I had the grilled chicken salad, and I was pretty underwhelmed by it. It comes with a few cucumbers, sliced up tomatoes, garlic croutons and thin slices of chicken. The cilantro vinaigrette was very good, but the salad toppings were just unimpressive to me - lots of romaine lettuce with a few veggies. You could build your own salad or add more toppings, and I'd probably try that next time if I was doing a salad. My husband had the burrito bowl, and he said it was decent. We heard the margaritas are great, and our nieces and nephew loved their food. The service was very helpful - they come around to collect your plates when you're done, even though it feels more like a self-service restaurant. Parking is easy in the strip mall shopping center. read more

Outstanding customer service here. The hostess / greeter met us at the door and gave a very detailed explanation of the menu and ordering process. They nailed our order to perfection. The hard taco shells are light and crispy. The beef taco was my favorite, but the flounder taco is a close second with that slaw and creamy avocado. The chorizo taco was a bit greasy for me, but once you've been spoiled by south Texas style chorizo, it's hard for any others to measure up. Queso and beans were very good as well. Comfortable atmosphere with good tunes playing. Overall great experience, will be back. read more

I brought my family of ten on Friday night to the airport location in Mobile. Everyone ordered and I paid the bill ( 220.00) and sat down waiting for our food. It came out mostly two meals at a time so some were finished before others got their food. l received two different excuses why my food was last. First excuse was they didn't take enough flounder to complete my meal and the second was the grill was not working properly. Half of the meals had little meat in them. Some employee came to the table apologized for the wait and meals and put three five dollar coupons for our next meal which went into the trash as we left. I considered that as a poor excuse for the meal. read more

Great margarita variety! Tasty too! I had a burrito bowl that was very very large. The rice was nice and the barbacoa was really good. I had a side of esquites that was small but had a good balance of corn cheese and mayo. The server did a wonderful job of checking in on me and making sure I had what I needed. We ordered double protein steak pick your own topping fresh ingredients nachos to share and "wow" it was huge and so good!!! Others in our group ordered varieties of burritos and they raved about them. The staff so attentive and friendly which always makes for a great dining experience!
