The food (French toast/chicken & waffles) was excellent. Regular syrup instead of "pepper jelly" would have been fine. Our server was very nice and accommodating. The ambiance is nice and cozy. But we always sat in a booth. Sitting at a table indoors next to the back door, I looked around in confusion. At first it felt like someone kicking the back of the seat like on a flight. But then I was trying to move the table and check the chairs, maybe it was an earthquake from the New Madrid fault line. But like a typical NOLA raised home, it was just a hard floor and heavy footsteps. I'll know better next time. But Sundays from 12-3pm is the time to be there. A stellar visit. The hostesses very friendly and got us to a table right away. Our waitress Chelsea, fantastic service throughout our meal. We started with Boudreaux's eggrolls appetizer, they were pretty good, and cooked very well, the dipping sauce made the egg rolls. Next she got the crab and spinach bisque, I had a side salad with blue cheese dressing. Both were very tasty. Next she had grilled salmon with veggies and mash potatos, I had the blackend redfish topped Crawfish Etouffee w/ Rice & sautéed Vegetables redfish. Both meals were tasty,full of flavor and cooked perfectly. When we arrived at 615 it was pretty empty and quiet but by the time we left most tables were full and a vibrant scene. This place held so much promise. One of those looks good on paper restaurants. The atmosphere was good and the view was amazing. Service was very good too. The food was incredib...ly bland. Gumbo was not bad. Cajun egg rolls were just mushy and tasteless- even the Tasso cheese sauce tasted neither Tasso-y or cheesy. Crawfish etouffee was underwhelming. We had dinner this weekend. My food was good but the creole shrimp had no spice. I do remember having to ask for the heat. I tried the creole seasoning on the table but didn't get there for me. Our waiter needs to work on his customer service skills as he was on the border of rudeness or "I don't care" . During this heat make sure to ask for indoor seating unless the sun has set. It was too hot. Luckily the manager stepped in and adjusted the fan directions. read more

Walked in and noticed a very laid back, comfortable atmosphere. Low lighting, but the sun was shining thru. My waitress Cindy, was excellent and very friendly. She let me customize a blackened chicken dinner with blue cheese crumbles, French style green beans and excellent French style bread. Everything was delicious and perfectly presented. Cindy talked me Into the beignets....( didn't take much convincing ). They were warm and fresh, and covered with a lot of powdered sugar. Topped off an excellent dinning experience. Our first time here... great view, prompt friendly service, many menu choices. I opted for VooDoo pasta...excellent choice! Flavorful cream sauce on bow tie pasta, mushrooms, & spinach. Lovely location!! We sat on the covered deck, looking out over Mobile Bay. Redbeans and rice were quite good. Gumbo was very good! Husband enjoyed the shrimp po'boy, I had the oyster po"boy, yummy . So coming from a foodie I have had better Cajun food in Ft Myers, Fl. The blackened Redfish was THE one thing I came in for on my travels here. Can I make a suggestion? Have the chef go to Louisiana or Mississippi to see what étouffée tastes like. What came on the blackened redfish was basically bland chicken gravy with crawfish. The other point I would suggest if you are serving farm raised redfish it should be very mild. Whomever prepared this fish kept the whole bloodline in it so it was terribly fishy. Lastly, the sides were sautéed vegetables and rice. Well, the veggies were barely steamed and had no flavor the rice was plain white rice. For $35 I pushed most of the meal away. On a positive the server was very nice but he even failed to ask why I left so much on the plate. Two thumbs down. I rarely leave a negative review, but in this case, I think the Location deserves better food. read more

The staff here are very friendly. Service started off a little slow but it did get better. They weren't that busy so not sure why. Being from La and getting "Cajun" food in Alabama had me worried, but they did not disappoint! Best Spinach Artichoke Dip of any restaurant. The fresh fish specials were killer! Only complaint was the red beans tasted very off. I didn't eat them it was so off, and that was my entree. Would recommend most other menu items for sure. Best bay front dining on the Eastern Shore! Last time I reviewed this place on Yelp was back in 2014, right when they opened! I'm really glad they've stayed in business. They got rid of the awful new-country music and started playing more traditional Cajun & Zydeco style music, just as I had suggested in my first review. I LOVE all of their food, with the exception of their version of bread pudding... I HATE their bread pudding, because it's *NOT* bread pudding. Gator is always cooked excellent too. read more

The food here was not the issue. It was your typical Cajun restaurant and the crawfish cake was 100% the best item! The egg rolls were perfectly crispy with great flavor. Here is where I had problems. I ordered a cocktail from the menu at the bar but didn't want the sprite and lemonade only club soda. Simple switch right?! Because it seemed too sweet of a cocktail for me. The name of it was southern belle by the way. The bartender who was young basically thought I'd ripped his dreams apart. He probably mentioned my drink 6 times. "That's not our drink" "do you see that it's not the one on our menu" "look what she did" Get over it!!!!! I felt so annoyed it just kept going and going... but it didn't end there We were with a group of about 12 people and we sat down well little grumpy bartender brings only me a glass of water as if I was drunk. HALF WAY THROUGH COCKTAIL ONE. No one else gets a water. This little boy should grow up. And if it's the only cocktail he made on the menu. Well sorry it wasn't good so I changed it. Incomparable value - food, libations, ambiance. We dine here traveling between TX to FL for decades, before current iteration as Boudreaus's, the best yet. The food, 100% Cajun wonderful seafood; I had gulf shrimp salad - delicious tender local AL shrimp & a Italian Pinot Grigio; spouse had red beans ^ rice with corn Maques choux, a most delicious version of corn one can imagine. A local person recommended this place so of course I felt I had to try. The parking lot was packed so it seems like a very happening spot. When we walked in we did not have reservations, but it was also pretty late. I think they closed at 10 and we arrived at like 9:40 so I was happy they were able to seat us. Once inside it was packed, big parties and it was very loud. So loud when we were seated we couldn't even really have a conversation. We were able to order pretty quickly which we did since we knew they would be closing soon and I wanted to make sure the server was able to leave and not be worried about waiting on us all night. The food came out quickly but it was just okay. It wasn't really that hot and it lacked flavor. It felt like they made a big pot of everything and just threw it in a bowl or the plate, didn't taste fresh at all. Fried green tomatoes were soft and soggy. If I could give them a 6 star review I would. This is exactly how a restaurant should take care of their customers. We're from Louisiana headed to Orlando and stopped in on a Friday night at 8. No wait, drinks fast, food out quick. Mashed potatoes with my meal were perfect. No lumps, so creamy like the potatoes and milk morphed into a cohesive combination made by a mad scientist. Greens were delightful. Sweet and tart at the same time. I don't like greens but I found myself taking bite after bite just to see if my mouth could figure them out. The owner Matt introduced himself, was so great. I always like to see the people in charge out there rolling their sleeves up with the help. Can't say enough about the people and the service. 20 ASDEC members went here last year before Christmas, and it was Great. Okay, we decided to go again this year 2025. However, I called a week prior just to inform the Manager because they don't take reservations. This time a group of 20 - 24 ASDEC members. We were told 10p can sit inside and 14 can sit outside. I was troubled. Clearly, the dining area on the right of the restaurant entrance could accommodate the entire group. Manager stated he could ONLY seat a party of 20. We went back and forth and round and round about additional seating for 2 members. Finally, I told the members we can go elsewhere. Only then he said, can you give me minute to set the tables. The food was OKAY, but not that great. They almost lost 2,000.00 in revenue. Member voted and we will not be going back. Done and dusted. Living on the Gulf Coast we are spoiled for choices when it comes to seafood and various restaurants. The Manage should be fired ASAP. Very Rude and very unprofessional. read more

We arrived around 4 pm and the place was full but not crowded. We were seated immediately and greeted shortly by our server. We ordered the Egg Rolls for an appetizer and found them bland. They could use some spice or something for taste, they were a disappointment but edible. I had the Crawfish Etouffee (as it is crawfish season) and it did not disappoint. Excellent spice and excellent quality and quantity of crawfish in the bowl! I will order again. My friend had the shrimp and grits (his favorite) and he said they were superb! We paid a $1 to have the French Bread but unless you're just a bread lover, you do not need it. The side salad that is served with both dishes is just the right amount and fresh. It does come with a corn relish in the middle that I did not care for but my companion loved. The Beignets for dessert finished us off. I was disappointed in my cup of coffee as it was like warm. The restaurant has inside seating where you can see the Bay or deck seating where you can sit over the Bay and they play Cajun music along with New Orleans artist. I loved the music and view. We were in Pensacola for the week and decided we needed to make a day trip to Mobile. I rarely get cajun/creole at home, given that I currently live in a landlocked state, so I was excited to try Bourdeaux's! This is an instance where I wish Yelp offered half stars, as this is a solid 4.5 for me. We ordered a smattering of apps (fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese, loaded fries, and the blackened gator). All were good - and Mr. Picky Pants LOVED the gator! (Can you believe that??? like L-O-V-E-D it!!) It was delicious!! I was torn between the crawfish etouffee and the shrimp and grits (an all time fave of mine) - so, yeah, I ordered both!! The etouffee was amazingly well done! I really enjoyed that it had both stewed and fried crawfish. The shrimp and grits is the reason that Bourdeaux's did not receive 5 starts from me. Though the plate was beautiful, the remoulade really just tasted like creamy tabasco sauce and other than the kick, didn't have a tone of flavor. The grits were grit cakes (I'm accustomed to these being creamy for this dish) though the shrimp was cooked perfectly! Our whole party enjoyed their meal - MPP ordered the voodoo pasta, hubs had a steak and MPP's GF had the fried seafood platter. All were good! We ordered the beignets, banana bread bread pudding, as well as the key lime pie (with four forks). Also great!! BIG dessert servings, definitely meant to share! (and let me also say, that I don't really care for key lime pie. I would never order this on my own accord - but this was hands down THE BEST key lime pie I've ever tasted!!!THIS I would order again without hesitation!!) 8 thumbs up and 4 food babies later... definitely would recommend!! read more

Unbelievable Sunday brunch menu. The chicken thighs and waffles were unlike anything I've ever had! Sweet, juicy, spicy chicken served on sugar waffles. The Gouda grits were amazing! Everything cooked to perfection. My husband loved the fried catfish. Good size filet. Seasoning not overwhelming. Atmosphere was fun and family oriented. My only criticism were the restrooms. Well, the women's was the only one I saw. The tiled counter was falling apart and the silver coating was peeling from the faucets. Also trash all over. Assign one person to check/clean these especially on a busy Sunday. Then invest some of your profits to upgrade the quality. read more

They have a drink called the Swamp Water and it's really a drink for two, but I allowed my pretty princess of a wife take a few swigs as well.
