It's nicer than other places around town, but I don't find it to be as "upscale" as they claim. It's as if it doesn't know what it wants to be having so many TVs around. Is it a sports bar? Is it a wine-liquor bar? The jukebox on the wall kind of threw us for a loop as it loudly played tons of country, sometimes repeating songs, then R&B. Decor was pretty in its colors, but once there it screamed "look upscale at cheapest options possible". Tables are laminate, floors appear laminate, but the bathrooms appear to be of higher quality options. Certain drink ingredients requested weren't available. (The server didn't know what allspice dram was; the bartender didn't even know what allspice dram was, let alone have it.) A friend requested a particular tequila, but they don't have it. He then requested a particular mezcal, and the server suggested something else. I sought out two particular Cabernet Sauvignon wines, but they don't have either of those either. I ordered an Old Fashioned made with rum instead of whiskey. I was disappointed with how sweet the drink was. After watching the bartender it's as if she's not pouring to the top of the jigger, indicating under-pouring. Maybe because "it's messy" to pour it complete. So I ordered a margarita next, thinking it's harder to mess that up-- if it wasn't great, then that tells me a lot about this place. The margarita was soooo heavy on mixer/lime juice. I don't know that I'll want to come back for cocktails. The menu and execution were both underwhelming. But hey, the decor is kind of pretty... Again, it is nicer than other options around town, but it isn't what we expected compared to what we're used to. When you sell yourself as "upscale," customers expect upscale. read more

Get comfortable...it's gonna be a while! After my third visit, figured I had given it plenty of chances. The ambiance is great, cool set up and comfortable chairs (and you're gonna need them for the service time). Even with staff admitted "slow night," very slow service. Servers often seen on their phones rather than checking to see if another round was needed. Let down because this place could be a slam dunk. When I've eaten the food it's been good, but pricey. There's also a VIP section with sofas and chairs but a sign listed it as $50/person. read more

Came for drinks for Valentines Day! We were greeted immediately which was great, and then our server went out on the patio to fight with what I am assuming her boyfriend while we sat there with no refills. We were eagerly wanting to try one of the specialty drinks, but she NEVER CAME BACK. I ended up having to find her and ask for our ticket so we could go elsewhere and be waited on. My husband and I visited for brunch. We were the first customers of the day. Loved the decor and the service was good. We ordered the chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, and $1.50 mimosas! Everything was delicious!!! I'm very picky about waffles but the waffle was amazing! My only critique would be an extra piece of chicken with the waffle!Nonetheless we will absolutely be back. Went for Valentine's dinner. We had reservations, but decided to sit at the bar instead. Glad we did. Got to meet the owners and enjoy the company of others. Four staff members called out, but the owners stepped up to the plate. She quickly got our order in, and we didn't have to wait a very long time. They had a violinist playing great songs until 8pm. The atmosphere was very classy and upscale. The ownership really took charge and made our evening one to remember. We will definitely go back next time we are in Spanish Fort. read more

Nice environment, I can really dig what they're trying to do but it's a little extra. The VIP seating was really different but a waste of space. Make sure you make reservations, and don't come looking to get full. The food is actually pretty good, but this is more a place for Ladies Night. Service was great, drinks came back quickly, but we had problems ordering from the app they want you to use. Would I go back? Only for drinks. read more

This place is a waste of time. Had a group of four and took over twenty minutes anyone to acknowledge us and take our order. We ordered four simple drinks, three apps, and one hamburger. Three of us get our drinks and one app. Fifteen minutes later the one that didn't get her drink got the burger and no other food. Finally got another app (baked bri) that was completely nasty. Had to cancel the last appetizer and got the bill ( way way over priced) and left. read more

In response to the owner's comment: First of all, I'm not the first one to leave a poor review of your business. Also, I watched the bartender put far too much agave SWEETENER in my margarita. I'm not sure how you explain the sweetness of the second margarita other than your mixer has far too much SWEETENER in it. My friend is much nicer than I am so she just drank the margarita. And it did take all of 20 minutes to make my drink because we were watching the clock. You clearly chose to not take any accountability for the poor service or subpar drinks (mentioned in multiple reviews) which is a shame as it will only be to your detriment. Lightly disappointed, seems like somebody who has a loose understanding of what high end cocktails and ingredients are supposed to be opened a lounge. The service was excellent and the employees should not be held accountable for the missed opportunity of what could be a great execution. The waitress we had, Jasmine, worked very hard and was extremely kind and encouraging and even guided us through the menu by asking questions. The setting was interesting and unique, I really enjoyed the VIP area and highly recommend seating in the comfortable and fashionable chairs and sofas. The entire area was extremely clean and smelled nicely despite being so close to the restrooms. If I was to return, I would go for the service and efficiency of drinks, however lackluster in execution, more than anything. This place is two steps away from being a 5 star location. Big shoutout again to Jasmine, a phenomenal waitress who really showcased a positive attitude and made our entire night out one to appreciate. I think a bar manager who knows how to prepare and celebrate craft cocktails and a marketing team to match would bring this location to a level it's not prepared for. Not sure I understand what they are exactly going for here. "Upscale" is what they claim but missed the mark quite a bit. Weird mix of people, ambiance isn't great, music is way too loud and is either country or rap. The food is mediocre but expensive. Service definitely leaves a lot to be desired. We sat down and waited over ten minutes for a server. We ordered drinks and asked for a food menu. The server came back almost twenty minutes later (no drinks) and asked if we wanted to order some water or anything to drink. We ordered our drinks AGAIN and ordered food. This is our third time here and will be our last. We tried to justify the subpar experience the last two times and wanted to give it another try. Not good. I thought the decor was stunning, though I didn't understand the sheer number of televisions. They screamed typical sports bar in a not-so-typical elegant space. Wide variety of channels on, though, and that would be appreciated in a crowded restaurant. I enjoyed my food, and I enjoyed the drink menu. The music appeared to be from a jukebox, but it was a perfect combination of genre, tempo, and volume. Ultimately, the service was too underwhelming for a higher rating. My server disappeared after taking my drink order and then again when I wanted my check. There were no other patrons in the restaurant and 3 other employees behind the bar, but no one came to check on my table. One bartender was talking very loudly about a relatively new boyfriend, and I found that inappropriate and disturbing to an otherwise lovely ambiance. I definitely did not realize this was supposed to be an "upscale" bar as the atmosphere was strange or "twisted"if you will. Cocktail lounge / Sports Bar/ Country band that sings rap while locals show off their amazing dancing skills... dropping it low if you will. Sat at the bar, enjoyed watching all the servers run around not knowing what is going on. Bartenders tried to do their best with what they had and the manager was doing everything she could to stay on top of everything. As the night progressed, it became extremely enjoyable watching it all unravel. Servers dropping entire trays of drinks, taking food to the wrong tables, drinks being sent back, dirty glasses piled up on the bar top to almost 50 at one point, etc. As far as the food, the Ribeye and "lyin ass potatoes" (my interpretation not an employees) were average, I'd say too much sauce if anything but good nevertheless. The following week I went back, the exact type of experience but this time, servers just walked out. I feel sorry for the bartender and manager but I will absolutely be back to see what's in store for episode 3, 4, and 5! I am originally from Daphne so when I go back to visit family for the holidays, I like to stop by a few of my regular favorites and also see some new ones if they pop up. I was really excited to hear about an upscale lounge opening in my hometown so I decided to stop by. The pictures look good. And that's about it. When you walk in, immediately, you can tell everything is cheap and was either budget commercial purchases or residential. You can absolutely tell what the owners were trying to achieve, but it misses the mark big time. The tables are cheap. The lighting makes you feel like you're in a strip club. The loudly self-identified regulars are ogling creeps. Newsflash: If you want to have an upscale lounge, don't allow tattered t-shirts and camouflage. Otherwise it's not upscale. It's just another bar. The bartenders and servers have no idea what most specialty cocktails are. One of them even gave me attitude when I acted surprised that she had no idea what I was talking about. "Look, I'm a mixologist and I've never heard of that." There are dive bars across the bay and nearby that know what an allspice dram is. They had no clue! Didn't even want to ask me how to duplicate it or what kind of drink I'm going for. Then when you try to let them know your experience when they ask you, they get pissy about it and accuse you of working for another restaurant or bar nearby. D-E-L-U-S-I-O-N-A-L. Hopefully this place won't be around for long. They get their employees and friends to leave positive reviews. With the bad attitude of the owners and their desire to evidently be lied to, I'm sure they won't be for long. Look at their website and you tell me if it's "upscale." Terrible. read more
