Not a single order was messed up, and every guest was taken care of beautifully. The team that night Noel, Bella, Natalie, Sadie, and Brigs was outstanding. They truly felt like a local extension of our family. Beyond serving delicious tacos and making sure everyone was happy, they went above and beyond: signing our wedding cards with the sweetest, most thoughtful notes, and even snapping photos of the wedding party to capture those special moments. It was truly phenomenal and made the night even more memorable. We've loved Taco Mama for years and have never had a bad experience here. If there's ever been the tiniest issue (which is rare), the managers and team are immaculately on point in rectifying it right away. New to the area so we have been checking out several of the local eateries to find our go to spots. We tired Taco Mamas based on the online reviews and our love for Mexican food. Coming from Tucson the bar is set a bit high but we came in with hopeful expectations. Our approach was to try a couple of go to items, barbacoa and steak bowls with a few of the extras. We decided to put a few on the free adds on the side so we could manage the taste as we discovered the plus and minus of them. All in all here were our likes and dislikes - Likes - Nice atmosphere, clean and welcoming Easy to find and good parking Lots of choices on their menu for across the board options Dislikes - The products we recieved were heavy on sodium, could not finish The steak was thin cut and not overly generous Most of the sides were OK but not game winners Generally speaking the sides were average We were underwhelmed, price was reasonable, portions were AA but the taste was a game breaker - no go. It was the worst Mexican food I ever had . Service was very good and helpful. Ambiance was okay. Tables were sticky. I watch how they clean the tables they didn't take a little tub of cleaning and water . They took the same rag to wash many tables without washing it out . We check 3 different tables and they were sticky . Then started to eat simple tacos and Street corn was the worst tasting that I've ever had. Then found someone beard hair on my chips. That's is the last time I ever go there . I have lived in Mexico for a few years and I eat in restaurant that had old wooden floors that had better food and cleaner tables and the back help was cleaner looking and their hair covered up even their face hair. Well not refer anyone there i will discourage anyone from going there . We will never ever go there again. The food is a little over standard pricing for 2025 but everything is fresh and the staff definitely had mastered their menu. Staff are super nice and for a busy place it's very well organized. One insider trick. Skip the line and order over the phone. Depending on the time of day it gets slammed and you'll be in a line out the door. If you order to go your food will be ready in 10 minutes. Came for a quick lunch on our way to Destin. Started with their plain frozen margarita. I got the sizzle tacos with the Mac and cheese and my husband got one of the big client burrito. I was worried about the tacos because the steak was cut so thin but it had a very good flavor. The Mac and cheese was okay. Probably not the side I should have gotten at a Mexican restaurant. I genuinely enjoy this chain. However, please do not think that you're going to get the most authentic Mexican cuisine here. Taco Mama basically put their spin on a Chipotle like restaurant. The beans were pretty average, nothing to write home about. The shrimp tacos were so delicious! They tasted so fresh and I liked that shrimp were actually a decent size. The tacos were a bit cold when they were served but I understand that's from the slaw that's on the tacos. The street corn was super tasty, would definitely get again! The chips are thin and crunchy and the salsa is mild but super flavorful. The vibe of the restaurant is really fun and a bit hipster, I really enjoyed it! Well we tried again last night and the food was delicious all the way around. I had "Mamas Salad" with chicken and chipotle ranch. It was so good and fresh! I've had it in the past and it wasn't very memorable but last night, omg absolutely delicious! Daughter had the nachos and they were piled so high there was no way even two people could finish them. Happy to report the chips were also crispy and fresh! The service from the time we walked in was amazing also. How the mighty have fallen! This used to be my absolute favorite in the area. In the last year I've been served over salted food, soured salsas and worst of all, subpar overall quality food. Their quantities are likely 1/3 or more smaller than they were. For an almost $20 burrito after tax, I'm sorry, it shouldn't be the same size as Taco Bell and it should probably have some popping flavor. This isn't the first time I've been underserved, but it's gotten far more consistent here. Tacos with 1 or 2 pieces of steak and now small burritos that are just not worth their price. Sadly, I used to love their guac - but that's taken the hit too. What once had flavor is literally mashed up avocados in a container. So sad.
