    Beef tenderloin

A good three stars! We stayed at the Grand recently and made a reservation to eat dinner here. The restaurant itself is small and provides an intimate dining experience. I would imagine it has nice resort views but we were seated away from the windows so it's hard to tell. All of the employees are super friendly and did a great job. The cocktails were nice. They were out of the ingredients for the one I wanted so I settled on something with some tequila and it was tasty. I ordered the grouper for my entree. It was meh. Super bland. Way overpriced for what it was. I was super unimpressed. Definitely a one and done for me but I'm glad we tried it out!

This is the first time I've been here and I have to say this place is amazing. I b ordered the pasta and the food is fantastic. The service staff is impeccable and so wonderful. The ambiance is great. It's perfect for a date night along with business meetings. I would definitely be back

The food and drinks here are excellent and so is the service. It was a pleasant surprise for a convenient restaurant within the hotel. The hours are limited from 6 -9 pm so having a reservation is the best bet. I loved the way the smoked old fashioned came out in a blanton's bottle. Very nice touch. The sunset view from here is incredible.

Stumbled upon this place because our original dinner plans fell through. Boy am I grateful they did. The grouper may look like a small meal but it's so filling and full of flavor, especially great for those who love sweet and savory together. My husbands beef tenderloin was wonderfully cooked and did not need a steak knife. As for the service, could not speak more highly of the greeter, bartender and others we came in to contact with. I mentioned once it was my husband and I's anniversary and they all congratulated us. The most props go to the server Christian who went above and beyond to make our meal a success. We will be back thanks to you!

This is one of the most delicious meals of my life. Everything was perfect and portions were large. Some fine dining has overly complicated dishes with tiny portions and strange combinations. That can be fun, but this is just really good food and good service. Perfect for a special occasion.

I also had a tasty iced coffee with brown sugar and pralines it was so good. I love how it wasn't overly sweet, I want a nice treat with caffeine not diabetes. It hit the spot. I appreciate that they have oat milk or almond in addition to cows milk. If I can't say enough nice things let me add that my server Brandy was very kind, attentive and if I were her boss I would be very happy because she's the kind of person you want to represent your business. The ambience and decor were also very nice, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say soothing. Even though it was an absolutely beautiful day I chose to sit my skinny derrière inside on the padded half booth because I had been outside all day riding and wanted to relax. The Barn at the Hope Farm is a lovely spot to grab a latté and a croissant or a little lunch. I recommend it for those of us who prefer gracious living and don't just eat to survive.

It honestly feels a little like you stumbled into a hidden spot on vacation. The food was solid across the board. You can tell they actually care about what they're serving, everything tasted fresh, not heavy or overdone. The menu has a great mix, from burgers to pasta and seafood, so it's easy to find something no matter what you're in the mood for. The shrimp and grits and the pasta dishes are delicious , and even the appetizers were on point. Service was just as good, friendly, attentive, but not hovering. You don't feel rushed, which is rare these days. What really makes this place though is the vibe. Whether you sit inside or out, it's got that relaxed, slightly upscale but still comfortable feel. If you're in Fairhope and want somewhere that feels local (not touristy), this is it. Easy 5 stars. Will definitely go back!!

While the tables are limited and the bar area accomodates around 10 people, the server to customer ratio is pretty high which explains the great service and everyone helps everyone. Each person had their job, handing off from one station to another, a very efficient use of a very little space. The food, well, all very tasty, full of flavors, flavors that complimented one another and many textures throughout each dish. Wow great flavors also with a little red sweet peppers and a fennel slaw of sorts, wow this was out of the park awesome. Last, we had the Red or White Roasted Red Pepper Sauce, Italian Sausage, Whole Milk Ricotta, Mozzarella, & Crumbled Feta Cheese. We had this last time, and it was awesome as well. This place is a must stop, whether you live here or just passing through. While we also like the one in mobile, this place is a little more quiet and intimate. Definitely, will return.

She was young but willing to learn how to properly pour a pint of Guinness. I enjoyed a Guinness and a Blue Moon (they didn't have orange slices but it was okay). They have machines to break down your cash into quarters ($1, $5, $10, and $20s). The place is small. It was much smaller than I anticipated, but I found it to be neat, nonetheless. There were about 6 pinball machines (7 if you include the baseball game) and 3 other arcade games, if I remember correctly. The bar had maybe 4 seats, and there were a couple tables with chairs inside. They also had some outdoor patio table + bench areas. Again, really cool gamer place; small, yet cozy. It was my wife's birthday, and thus she had the privilege to choose where we would go for brunch…read more I had previously decided that I would not dine at this restaurant again, not because I had some gripe about the food, which was excellent, but because their table arrangement in the main dinning area made it difficult for wheelchair bound customers, such as myself, to navigate. This was not a hard and solid decision on my part. Instead I had decided that if I had my druthers, I would not eat there. Of course when it is my babécita's birthday my druthers were of no consideration and I found myself again at Tamara's for a Saturday brunch. We arrived to find the main dinning area to be full, and since we didn't feel like eating in the open to the outside area, we learned that we had an estimated 20-30 minutes wait for a table. Their was six to eight customers waiting around the hostess's stand inside, with another six waiting outside under a covered area. We decided to wait outside, but after about 15 minutes a rain shower began. The kind people waiting on the benches and standing under the awning encouraged us to move in further from the edge where they we were getting wet. A couple standing moved into the restaurant to make even more room for us. The hostess, seeing that it was raining outside when this couple opened the door, came to the door and invited us all in, announcing that she would make room for us all. Which she promptly did. My wife had informed the hostess of my needs, and had requested a corner table for ease of access, but once inside the restaurant, I noticed that the table arrangement seemed less crowded, which helped to ease my concerns about getting to a table. As it happened, right at the 20 minute mark, we were informed that our table was ready, and we were led to a table, not on a corner, but to a table at the end of a row of tables, and against a partition. I found this arrangement even better than our requested corner table, as it meant that I had no foot traffic behind me that I might inadvertently bump into, or bump into me. I was grateful for the evidently experienced hostess working out such a fine alternative to our request, and doing it in such a timely manner. Now I get to the food, and wait staff service. All I can say is that Tamara's management has both pegged to the highest degree. Our waiter appeared immediately, took our orders since we had perused the menu while we were waiting to be seated. As for our food, my birthday girl had the Spinach Eggs Benedict, and I had the Fried Chicken and Waffles. Both were excellent. Neither of us had a single complaint, and my wife, who is fascinated with Tamara's long list of various types of Eggs Benedicts, promised that we will be back for many more visits to try each one. I am grateful that I was forced to forego my pledge not to patronize this establishment again, as it provided an opportunity to learn how the good people at Tamara's made adjustments that allowed my experience to be enjoyed more fully. I am also grateful in that we can continue to enjoy their excellent food.

First off, the ambiance is very nice--comfortable, welcoming, and a great setting for a casual evening out. The service was also very good. Our server was attentive and friendly, which definitely made a positive impression. As for the food: * Raw oysters ($22): Fresh, plump, and overall very good quality. That said, it almost felt like each oyster had a bit of added salt, which threw me off a little. Not bad, just slightly off from what I'd expect. * Sushi-grade ahi tuna appetizer ($14): This was one of the highlights--very good flavor and nicely prepared. * Gumbo (large - $12): Probably the biggest disappointment. I'd rate it about a 5/10. It wasn't terrible, but it lacked depth and richness compared to what you'd expect in this region. * Happy hour mimosa ($3) and margarita ($6): Solid for the price--no complaints there. Total came out to about $62 cash ($64.30 with card fee), which feels reasonable for what we ordered. Overall, this is a place I'd come back to if I were already in the area and someone suggested it, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way for. If I did return, it would likely be for the oysters or the ahi tuna. Good experience, just not quite memorable enough to push it past three stars.
