Corn Fritters and Tuna Tacos - pretty good.
    Coleman O.

We decided to go to Little Bird for drinks and dinner. The ambiance is amazing. They have an outdoor area, a killer bar, and upscale restaurant inside. Truly top notch. We order some wine, and a couple of apps, Corn Fritters and Mini Tuna Tacos. They were delicious. I was torn about ordering the Filet, but the people at the bar ordered one, and it smelled amazing. When I asked them how it was, he told me that he had to send the first one back, and he was not impressed with the second order. That is disappointing considering it is a $58 Filet....it should be mind blowing. Anyway, the service at the bar was good, and our apps were solid so I give it 4*s. RECOMMENDED

Great lunch. Very nice service. Our waitress was very friendly - she checked on us frequently but not ever present. Nice atmosphere. Restaurant was very comfortable. Nice wine list. I had the shrimp and grits. Some of the best I ever had. This was complimented with an amazing redeye gravy and sausage. The wife had the quail. Very tasty as well. We also shared a slice of the lemon buttermilk pie. Very solid. Just an all round great meal.

Little Bird has a clean, modern design and ambience that feels like a house. The outdoor dining area has a garden-like feel that is covered and nearly enclosed with a dozen or more rapid overhead fans that keep the air moving and offset the humidity but without feeling blustery or annoying. The service was attentive, classy, and very informative - great job, Isabelle! The food was very good overall with the exception of my gulf catch, which had a strong tarragon seasoning in the couscous paired with the grouper. If you don't like licorice, you won't like this flavor and will be scrambling like I was to hide it with the pesto and cherry tomatoes. Other than that, the food was outstanding including corn fritters containing fish and served with jalapeño tartar sauce, roasted shishito peppers with aioli sauce, and my wife's scallops entree with pistachio crumbles served with pureed cauliflower which were seared to a nice crusty outside texture yet very moist on the inside. Overall, maybe a little overpriced although this is Fairhope, but very nice environment, pleasant service, and nice flavor combinations prepared to near perfection.

Great family dinner at Little Bird last night celebrating our fabulous daughters and all their scholastic and extracurricular achievements. From the bluefin tuna crudo, smoked fish dip, wreck fish, boudin stuffed quail, and shrimp and grits entrees to the apple cobbler for 2 (or 4 in our case), and service, it was superb. According to our daughter, "those courses will be the best I have for a long time". High praise from our family.

We had the most amazing girls dinner there. We sat outside under their covered patio. The fans were enough to keep us cool on an August evening. The service was above and beyond. The food was beautifully plated and the cocktails were delicious! The seafood tower is absolutely worth it! Their dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives was so good, I had more than 1!

Service was great. The food was delicious and beautiful. I had the swordfish with a side of shrimp. We had a few desserts and my favorite was the buttermilk pie - it has a great lemon flavor. We also loved the brown butter ice cream with roaster pecans. If you are looking for a place for a nice dinner this is it.

I love hope farms and came here as it is a sister restaurant and I wanted to check it out. The place is amazing and pays homage to the chef's mother- every room is themed to an aspect of her life. Decor is lovely and ambience is great. The bar is very pretty as well. We ordered crab claws, octopus, the fish (red snapper) oysters beet salad and then the chocolate dessert. Everything was delicious, but the stand outs were definitely the cornbread, red snapper and the dessert. We also ordered the Lady Adams (a tequila based drink) that was also delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely a must visit spot.

The food here is very good, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Waiter did not know their bourbon selection, in fact told us they only had 4 types. We got the seafood tower and server and manager had non idea which oysters were on the tower. They charge $18 for mineral water, which they didn't bother to let us know. The tuna dip is amazing, I asked for more of the crackers they serve with it and our waiter instead brought me a couple of plain saltine crackers. If I am spending $400 I expect much better service. I get this is Fairhope, but this is not what I expect for high end dining.

We loved the decor. A very well put together place with lots of different dining areas. Our server was very attentive and made some good suggestions. Our party of 5 had a wonderful experience, first came the roasted oysters and the seafood tower. Also the corn fritters. Every single thing was delicious. Next two had yellowfin tuna, two had the special (black grouper) and I had the shrimp and grits. The grit cake (which I've had at one other place) is a twist on the traditional shrimp and grits but let me tell you. It was perfect. Flavor, size and balance. All on point. We also had the strawberry shortcake, creme brûlée. The peach and cream pie and the Black Forest entremet. The desserts were all fantastic. A great dining experience we will definitely repeat in the future. All around worth the dining experience! Thank you

The Hope Farm was closed for a wedding so a friend recommended Little Bird. I didn't realize that the time of my reservation was at the end of their lunch service and they were switching to a limited menu to prepare for dinner. Our server was so helpful and let the kitchen staff know that we would be placing orders and bought us a bit of time. I LOVED the space. We ate outside. It was cozy and quiet. I ordered the Birds of a Feather first. It was delicious. I also had a Scenic 98 with tequila instead of vodka. I loved that drink too. The Steak Sandwich was a little flat in flavor but it was hot and fresh so I still enjoyed it with the fries. Not pictured are the Roasted Oysters. They were the star of the meal. I would go back purely for the ambiance and a table full of oysters. They also gave me a birthday cake ice cream scoop since it was a birthday lunch. It was really good and a great portion size. We ended up staying so long that dinner was being served. We moved to the inside bar area and placed a dinner order to go. We toured the restaurant and found more areas to love. I plan to come back to experience their dinner menu.

Loved it. Food was forward thinking and favorable. We definitely be back! The outdoor seating with the fire pits looks inviting.

It was my wife's birthday, and thus she had the privilege to choose where we would go for brunch…read more I had previously decided that I would not dine at this restaurant again, not because I had some gripe about the food, which was excellent, but because their table arrangement in the main dinning area made it difficult for wheelchair bound customers, such as myself, to navigate. This was not a hard and solid decision on my part. Instead I had decided that if I had my druthers, I would not eat there. Of course when it is my babécita's birthday my druthers were of no consideration and I found myself again at Tamara's for a Saturday brunch. We arrived to find the main dinning area to be full, and since we didn't feel like eating in the open to the outside area, we learned that we had an estimated 20-30 minutes wait for a table. Their was six to eight customers waiting around the hostess's stand inside, with another six waiting outside under a covered area. We decided to wait outside, but after about 15 minutes a rain shower began. The kind people waiting on the benches and standing under the awning encouraged us to move in further from the edge where they we were getting wet. A couple standing moved into the restaurant to make even more room for us. The hostess, seeing that it was raining outside when this couple opened the door, came to the door and invited us all in, announcing that she would make room for us all. Which she promptly did. My wife had informed the hostess of my needs, and had requested a corner table for ease of access, but once inside the restaurant, I noticed that the table arrangement seemed less crowded, which helped to ease my concerns about getting to a table. As it happened, right at the 20 minute mark, we were informed that our table was ready, and we were led to a table, not on a corner, but to a table at the end of a row of tables, and against a partition. I found this arrangement even better than our requested corner table, as it meant that I had no foot traffic behind me that I might inadvertently bump into, or bump into me. I was grateful for the evidently experienced hostess working out such a fine alternative to our request, and doing it in such a timely manner. Now I get to the food, and wait staff service. All I can say is that Tamara's management has both pegged to the highest degree. Our waiter appeared immediately, took our orders since we had perused the menu while we were waiting to be seated. As for our food, my birthday girl had the Spinach Eggs Benedict, and I had the Fried Chicken and Waffles. Both were excellent. Neither of us had a single complaint, and my wife, who is fascinated with Tamara's long list of various types of Eggs Benedicts, promised that we will be back for many more visits to try each one. I am grateful that I was forced to forego my pledge not to patronize this establishment again, as it provided an opportunity to learn how the good people at Tamara's made adjustments that allowed my experience to be enjoyed more fully. I am also grateful in that we can continue to enjoy their excellent food.
