We had the most delicious scratch made meal here! Aiden shared the Team comes in every morning and makes fresh pasta, house made focaccia and sauces. We couldn't stop eating - roll us out! The special was grilled snapper over lemon gnocchi with asparagus - fresh and the pillow gnocchi melted! Next, was the bucatini arrabiato - perfect spice and rich sauce - I can't wait to eat my left overs! My MIL had the ricotta ravioli and also melted in your mouth - delicate pasta and with creamy cheese - yum! The lasagna is just delicious and smooth and meaty - it's the best I've had! Love what they did with the old Tin Top location. We sat at the bar, and the bartender, Moriah, was AWESOME. Water was brought without asking, as was complimentary focaccia with seasoned olive oil. Meatballs and goat cheese apps were very good. Wife had catch of the day (red snapper) that came with risotto and asparagus, and I had the seafood risotto. All seafood was cooked perfectly, BUT the dishes were SWIMMING in sauce. This was NOT risotto in this bath, in both dishes. And the market price for a medium piece of snapper was $50, which is ridiculous in this area. They make a big deal about the Italian trained chef behind the restaurant, but he must not be watching what's going out anymore. Maybe we will go back and try pasta or pizza, but AVOID any saucy dishes unless you bring a life preserver. read more

When the other establishment my daughter made a reservation with over a month ago canceled on us two days before our event we thought the worst, but that is where Fresco came to the rescue and in just a couple of days they planned a special menu for us! Regarding wine dinner 8/31/26: The wine pairings were excellent and complemented each course beautifully, and the food portions were very generous. The salad was outstanding! The short ribs were tasty but unfortunately overcooked and more like chuck roast than the tender short ribs I expected. A big disappointment was the pacing. Dinner was scheduled to begin at 7:00, but our first course wasn't served until 7:35, and the remaining courses were very slow coming out. We didn't finish until after 9:00. Wait staff/service was good despite the delays. The wine pours were also surprisingly small--more like a tasting than what I would expect at a wine dinner. My biggest issue, however, was the noise level inside. It was incredibly loud and nearly impossible to have a conversation with someone across the table. Wait staff even had difficulty hearing us. There were definitely some highlights, but better pacing, more appropriate wine pours, and attention to the dining room noise would make the experience much more enjoyable. We were really looking forward to celebrating, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. Service was extremely slow from start to finish. Our appetizer didn't come out until much later than it should have, and our waitress rarely checked on our table. My husband's drink went nearly two hours without a straw because no one came back to see if we needed anything. Our son's pizza came out long before the rest of our meal, so he had already finished eating by the time our food finally arrived. It's never ideal for a family to have to eat separately. The biggest disappointment was my husband's $52 filet. He ordered it cooked properly, but it came out well done. By the time it finally reached our table, we had already been waiting so long that sending it back would have meant waiting even longer, so he just ate it. Overall, the food quality and service did not meet the expectations we had, especially considering the prices. We understand that restaurants have busy nights, but better communication, more attentive service, and properly prepared meals would have made a big difference. For starters let me say I come from a huge city where Italian food is a staple. The food is average at best, the appetizers was crab brucetta very fishy tasting, the bread was good. For entrees the shrimp scampi was horrible. There was so much red pepper flakes that's all you tasted. The pasta was borderline Al dente and fettuccine. My wife got chicken piccata the sauce was very good so was the risotto the chicken was very overcooked. Now for service , while everyone was very nice. We had three different waiters/waitresses come to the table. No one seemed to know who was covering the what tables. The food took nearly an hour. We went to check out the Italian restaurant before my D-I-L gets here. It's looks very old world with great old Italian music playing. Good touch! They have new bathrooms, great improvement. We both had chicken piccata which was excellent and a large serving with a lemon risotto under the chicken. We also had bruschetta the tomatoes were all cut up but very tasty. We have tried Fresco twice and the food was not good the first time, but it was their first month open so we decided to wait 6 months and try it again to give it a fair assessment. Well I can say 6 months later it is no better. The pasta was so over boiled it was mush. And the marinara sauce was watery. The meatballs had a bad aftertaste. Three things really hard to mess up. We dined at Fresco during the soft opening and enjoyed every moment. The Ravioli stuffed with Ricotta was delicious. My wife had the Bolognese Pasta and was only able to eat half, the rest came home. What a joke. We arrive at 1pm on Saturday and there is one couple in the restaurant. We are seated right next to the only other couple. Completely empty and they stack us up? We get no greeting, no we'll be right with you, no smile from a server. We sit without being acknowledged for almost 10 minutes and we notice the couple that came in about 5 minutes after us already have their drinks and a waitress has been at their table twice. The way you are treated in the first 5 minutes is indicative of how you will be treated throughout the meal. I see why it is empty. One chance is all you get. We couldn't even hear our friends sitting across the table. Even our server Hunter had a difficult time hearing us and we were there for lunch at 1:30. I can't imagine during peak hours. This place is fairly new but seemed to be understaffed or unorganized. It took 30 minutes to get drinks. 45 minutes to take our orders. We were there an 1.5 before food started arriving. Appetizer were very good but the entrees lacked flavor. Pasta appeared to be old and the veal was tough. One steak was sent back twice because it was overcooked . Our waitress was over sat or just wasn't that interested in keeping our drinks filled and checking on us regularly. I live in Daphne most of our party lives in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. I would not drive down there again and I don't think anyone in our party would go back. To start I had to replace sweet tea with a Coke because the tea tasted horrible. We had the Lasagna, very little meat and no flavor. The short rib ragu, also very little meat and no flavor. Two Cesar salads and could barely taste any dressing. The "fresh" bread seemed to be right out of the refrigerator. Beware of the check also. Lasagna was supposed to be $22 but wound up being $22.88.
