We're locals and my family has been coming here two or three times a year since they opened. Had last nights special and it was wonderful! Salmon and shrimp with truffle honey, sun-dried tomato risotto, and asparagus. The seabass and ravioli was amazing as usual. Ambiance inside is lovely. Great service. Very friendly. It's a very quiet and elegant location in Orange Beach - perfect for a date night. The evening started out with bread and a dipping sauce. We also had a cheese and fruit appetizer that was delicious. I had such a hard time making a decision because every thing looked so good. I ended up choosing the Grilled Gulf Grouper. It was served with a tasty Squash Succotash, truffle mashed potatoes that melted in your mouth, and a brown butter vinaigrette. It was divine! Sara ordered the most amazing pork chop and bacon mac n cheese. I know, because I had a taste We got to meet our chef and compliment him. He was so humble and kept telling us about the executive chef, but he is the one that cooked our meals and he did a superb job! I vaguely remember saying that I was stuffed and could not eat another bite until they served dessert. Story of my life I had an incredible strawberry cheesecake ice cream. Went pre-concert so it was extremely busy, but worth the wait. Waiter took our order quickly at our request. We sat outside which was warm but they had fans set up which really helped. Food was very good. "Best scallops I ever had" was the feedback and the bolognese was great. You have to order the bread but don't miss it! So good. read more

This was a large group of approximately 50+ people. So, my experience was a bit different than the average meal service. Each table was delegated a different server. Drink orders were taken fairly quickly and brought out soon after. As for our food, it took over an hour to receive our meals, but with that many people grace can be given. I ordered off a preselected menu for our group consisting of a 6oz New York Strip in a demi glace, mashed potatoes, and green beans. It was delicious! The meat tender, sauce flavorful, creamy potatoes, and green beans cooked perfectly. I am unsure if this same meal is offered on their menu daily or only a special for this occasion. I would check online first or simply as your server. However, everyone in my group was pleased with their meals. I would say you can't go wrong with many of the dishes here at Villagio Grille, located at The Wharf. read more

We discovered this policy when we were paying our check, nothing previously mention when we were seated at the table, which should have been. This policy is written on the menu in tiny print at the bottom of the menu, even though the food and drink items on the menu reflect the cash price only. Very discouraging. Villaggio Grille at the Wharf in Orange Beach is an Italian style restaurant. I have been meaning to try this spot for literally years and I finally got around to having time to eat here! They offer an interesting variety of menus which include some nice happy hour specials for drinks and snacks; then they have a nice lunch menu and a separate dinner menu. For my first visit I enjoyed their Amberjack which was plated beautifully along with being quite delicious and full of flavor. I was rather impressed with the side of crab mashed potatoes, which had huge hunks of blue crab in it and my other side was asparagus which was cooked perfectly. For dessert I enjoyed their delicious chocolate cake which exceeded expectations. The service was friendly and they kept my iced tea full so I was happy with that. That's a constant on the beach, outside. He was quick to get us settled and shared the menu and items of the day. We enjoyed the food that ranged from seafood pastas and pizza to salad and salmon. Excellent spot for lunch. My party of four greatly enjoyed the food. The focaccia was excellent. I had the special: seared tuna on top of rigatoni with multicolored carrots and a Parmesan cream sauce - out of this world! My wife enjoyed a Burrata ravioli with shrimp and the girls enjoyed a nice chicken pesto pasta. I will be back as soon as I can. This place was an absolute crap show. My family of 4 came here from n a Thursday for lunch. They were out of sprite.... Out of lemonade... so the server brought my son a "lemonade" that she clearly squeezed some lemon into a cup of water and thought that would slide..... sent that back and was able to get REAL lemonade because they went next door somewhere to get some.... Me and hubby ordered mojitos and they made the drink with the wrong alcohol. When they finally made it with the right alcohol it tasted horrible. We were not give napkins/silverware with our appetizers and had to ask for them 30 minutes later. Service was soooo slow. We didn't get our food for at least 1 hour and in the mean time our son stepped on glass and his heel was bleeding from it. Just an absolute crap show. read more

The food for the price is not very good. My family and I got there around 6:30. Ordered drinks didn't get them. My daughter went to the bar and got them. Aftrr waiting for 30 min.
