Everyone is there to have a good time while enjoying some cold drinks. They also have a frozen Bushwhacker that is just delicious. You can spend the day beachfront the come inside for drinks and music. The staff is friendly! This bar is a dive bar...there's bras hanging from ceiling lines and there's dust bunnies throughout but this is what makes it so cool and so appealing. We try to come back at least once a year to enjoy The Flora-Bama. There's no other bar quite like this one. Must visit.

The drinks are GREAT! The bartenders all take good care of you. We had a great time hanging out with Mike at the bar behind the Main Room. He always made sure our cups were full. He was an awesome bartender! We were sad to leave him behind when we were finally able to get a table at the front of the stage. Our waitress, Stephanie, took great care of us at that table. She made sure we always had full drinks too! We were so pleasantly surprised that our tab wasn't more at the end of the night. I LOVE Kenny Chesney and he's incorporated everywhere in this bar. They carry Blue Chair Bay, his brand of rum, and they have two cocktail menus full of options that use this rum! Our favorite drinks of the night were the bra slinger, island girl, chillaxification, and the dirty pineapple. The live music was awesome! HUGE fan of Tim Roberts. He did an incredible job of covering some of the 90s and 2000s country I've always loved. He was also good about playing requests no matter the tip amount attached. I love the memories that are wrapped up in this venue. From the moment you walk in the doors it's evident this is the place where people go to have a good time. This place is owned by Josh Newcom with his wife Christie and his daughters Dove age 22, Sky age 20 and River age 14. The entire family runs the restaurant and their family band performs on stage as well. The Red Haven Live has a constant stream of live music performers here all the time. Orange Beach does have a decent amount of live music but sadly most of it tends to mainly be cover bands so I hope this spot brings in a LOT more live local music with bands that are playing their unique songs they created themselves. I grew up going to see LOTS of live local music and I got to see some AMAZING bands and it really breaks my heart that these days it seems there are so few bands playing their own stuff. I've been told by a LOT of locals in the area that the crowds of locals and tourists ONLY want cover bands and any band playing their own stuff won't do well but personally I just don't believe that as New Orleans still has LOTS of live local music every night with creative musicians playing their own music to great crowds so if it works great in New Orleans it should work in Orange Beach... I would assume. Currently the main music venues around Orange Beach seem to be Flora-Bama, The Keg and The Red Haven Live and I think The Red Haven Live has the perfect environment to bring in more live music with folks playing their own unique material. Flora-Bama has some local unique music but it gets so crowded it is often really hard to enjoy those performances. During my visits to The Red Haven Live I enjoyed their Newcoms Cowboy Soup, a cheeseburger and pizza along with some iced tea. So you can enjoy some food while you enjoy the live music. I can enjoy some covers but I really need to have a lot more unique music created by bands as otherwise I won't have any new music to buy to add to my collection! Overall this is one the coolest and most unique new spots to open in Orange Beach in quite a long while so make sure to check it out!

The Monkey Bar does have a nice ambiance so when the weather is more reasonable and far more cool this would be a fantastic spot to enjoy. They have a nice selection of cocktails and while there were not many people enduring the heat here during my visit most of the people that were here were ordering cocktails. My pal The Major got one of the cocktails and really liked it while I just got a water to stay hydrated so I wouldn't have a heat stroke. I look forward to visiting this spot again when the weather is substantially cooler.
