My new favorite way to eat oysters. Wife had the fried shrimp ($12.00 happy hour) and it was good as well. I was happy with the $1 oysters then I saw the happy hour prices for drinks and that was icing on the cake. We sat at the bar and didn't venture to the other side of the restaurant. Seemed to have a good mix of locals when we were there. To be honest, for oysters and fried shrimp it's going to be hard to beat. We loved it and definitely will be back.

We started with a cocktail and the spicy blue crab dip, both of which were excellent and a great way to begin the meal. We also ordered the meat and cheese board, which was decent but felt fairly basic for the price. The cheese and jalapeño focaccia was flavorful and enjoyable as well. For the main course, I ordered the New York strip with crab cakes. The steak was cooked properly but lacked seasoning and flavor, requiring quite a bit of salt. The crab cakes were also underwhelming and not something I would order again. My stepson ordered the kids' Alfredo, which tasted more like plain macaroni and ended up being so bland that he barely ate it. My husband had the bacon BBQ shrimp and enjoyed it, although I found it a little too sweet for my taste. Considering the overall quality of the food, the meal did not feel worth the price we paid. That said, our server was very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant has a fun atmosphere. They also offer live music on certain nights, which adds to the experience. Overall, while there were a few highlights, the food didn't quite live up to our expectations.

While this seems to be a lovely establishment, I would steer clear of it if you have any food…read moreallergies. Apparently it is not important enough to service staff to understand what is like to have someone in your party that has a food allergy. The most important thing, is to have the ability to empathize with your guests, and make their experience a good one. If there is an issue with cross contamination in your kitchen, then create an area in the kitchen solely to address those with food allergy needs. For example, when your customer tells you the sprite has no flavor, you don't just come back and tell them it looks fine to me and everything is hooked up. Try tasting it yourself and at least bring a new cup of it to the table. Don't come back empty handed. Then there was the Crab Cakes. After all of the seafood places I have been to in the southeast I found these crab cakes to be just so so. If you are going to deep fry them, please understand that the crab meat will turn to the consistency of tuna salad and is not pleasant to eat whatsoever. Perhaps skip the breading/deep fry and pan fry them instead? While the breading on the crab cake was crisp and delicious, it was a little off setting to have mushy crab on the inside. Again, this was a beautiful venue with a great view. I am troubled by the lack of attention to detail, especially when it comes to addressing your guests.

It was constant sexual commentary from start to finish. Our server didn't "read the table" at all. He made a comment to my son's girlfriend asking what protein she wanted with her mac and cheese, then followed it with, "or do you get enough from him?" while pointing at my son. That's not part of the act I am guessing...that's just inappropriate!! Every interaction had some kind of sexual angle. Not witty, not timed well--just nonstop, low-level, crude remarks. At some point it stops being the restaurant's "thing" and just becomes uncomfortable and honestly embarrassing. What he wrote on my hat was also sexual and vulgar for no reason. Again, not funny--just lazy shock humor. I'm not offended easily, and I don't walk into a place like this expecting fine dining behavior. But there's a clear difference between being playfully rude and being outright inappropriate, especially when you're speaking to someone's girlfriend in front of her family. Then the bill hits--$107 for extremely basic food. Mac and cheese, plain noodles, tater tots with a little bowl of melted cheese labeled as "fondue," and sodas. That's not even average quality, let alone worth that price. If you're going to charge like that, at least deliver an experience that's actually entertaining. This wasn't entertaining--it was uncomfortable, repetitive, and way below the mark. If this is the direction the place is going, they've completely lost what made the concept work in the first place!! Do Better!! Update: The owner publicly stated they would be reaching out to me privately, but no message has been received. If the goal was to resolve this, there was an opportunity to do so.
