Good food and our waitress was great! It was our first time going and it was such a good environment!

We went to Dick's Last Resort knowing exactly what it is--sarcastic, rude, and a little over the top. That's not the problem. The problem is this wasn't clever or funny. It was constant sexual commentary from start to finish. Our server didn't "read the table" at all. He made a comment to my son's girlfriend asking what protein she wanted with her mac and cheese, then followed it with, "or do you get enough from him?" while pointing at my son. That's not part of the act I am guessing...that's just inappropriate!! Every interaction had some kind of sexual angle. Not witty, not timed well--just nonstop, low-level, crude remarks. At some point it stops being the restaurant's "thing" and just becomes uncomfortable and honestly embarrassing. What he wrote on my hat was also sexual and vulgar for no reason. Again, not funny--just lazy shock humor. I'm not offended easily, and I don't walk into a place like this expecting fine dining behavior. But there's a clear difference between being playfully rude and being outright inappropriate, especially when you're speaking to someone's girlfriend in front of her family. Then the bill hits--$107 for extremely basic food. Mac and cheese, plain noodles, tater tots with a little bowl of melted cheese labeled as "fondue," and sodas. That's not even average quality, let alone worth that price. If you're going to charge like that, at least deliver an experience that's actually entertaining. This wasn't entertaining--it was uncomfortable, repetitive, and way below the mark. If this is the direction the place is going, they've completely lost what made the concept work in the first place!! Do Better!! Update: The owner publicly stated they would be reaching out to me privately, but no message has been received. If the goal was to resolve this, there was an opportunity to do so. read more

Angela was both sassy and abusive which we thought was pretty unique lol She managed to SELL my wife a margarita that she really did not want before noon lol She is making your company money!! Went to Dick's Last Resort in Orange Beach and had an unexpectedly great time. The food was solid, service was *weirdly* fast, and our "rude" server was actually the highlight--sarcastic, hilarious, and totally in character the whole time. The ambience was pure chaos in the best way. Loud, rowdy, and full of people getting roasted while wearing ridiculous paper hats. We'll be cherishing ours forever. If you're easily offended, maybe skip it. But if you can laugh at yourself and want dinner with a side of comedy, this is the place. read more

Let me tell you right now, I had the BEST time here, and that's on chaotic excellence. I walked in I got my sign that said, "I wasn't born gay, I was sucked into it," and tell me why it fit the vibe like it was on the payroll. This is exactly the kind of place where you come to laugh, be a little ridiculous, and not take life too seriously, and trust me, I leaned ALL the way in. Now our waitress? Oh, she understood the assignment. Chill, sarcastic, just the right amount of attitude, I mean, she was reading us with love and I was eating it UP. Had me laughing the whole time. And let's talk about the food, because they didn't come to play either. I got the cheddar bacon burger and baby...that thing was CRISPY in all the right ways. Juicy, flavorful, just doing what needed to be done. And the fries? Whew. They had this little hint of sweetness that I could not quite figure out, but I wasn't about to question it, I just kept eating. Between the staff, the energy, and the absolute nonsense (in the best way), this place delivered. Loud, funny, a little unhinged, just how I like it. 10/10 experience. I laughed, I ate, I thrived. Once we got our food , 3 of our orders were wrong but the receipt showed what we originally ordered so I'm confused on how they got it messed up. Food was also just not good. Dicks last resort is something you definitely have to check out, me and my family came here during our vacation cause it's been something I've really wanted to go to. Our waitress played her role so good. She wasn't only mean but she was also talkative. Not only is the experience great but their food is amazing. Let me start with the atmosphere is for fun and if your liking the drinks and hang loose with appetizers I guess. You had a good time , especially when they put the chef hats with different anything silly phrases. The food I'm not going to say is the worst for the price paid, very greasy, no freshness. A party of 11 some had ribs, others wings 4 of party got sick. A little over 300$ without tip, have 70$ total in tip because our waitress was pretty nice , made us laugh and she did her best. Drink were decent paid seperate from food orders. This was a one time, I bdis but a shirt for souvenir, but not on my list to visit again. Took 30 minutes to get 1 beer and water. Took over an hr to get our food. Didn't get all the food we ordered and then when it was supposed to have been taken off the bill, it wasn't. Chips were stale and food was not good. read more

If I just ordered a beer, I think I'd give this place five stars. Dicks last resort has kind of a strange business plan you insult the customer. I don't mind that it was kind of fun for a while, until I ate the food. Dicks is your typical tourist flop. Big alcohol drinks and you get to keep the souvenir glass, that's great. But, food certainly won't draw you in. I ordered the super hot dog and it comes covered with chili and tater tots with chili. I think this is a altogether good food item for lunch, however, everything was cold. It's like it was made an easy bake oven, I really think there's nothing worse than a cold hot dog, yes what's worse than cold hot dog is cold chili and it really wasn't very tasty chili either. If you warm stuff up maybe the food will taste better. But, will I come back for the souvenir glass yeah I would. I wouldn't order the hotdog. I get maybe a hamburger which probably is bad too. The wait staff yes they were nice, and even their insults weren't that bad. I excepted something more visceral, but they were pretty tame at insulting me. We have been to a Dick's Last Resort in Panama City Beach and it was a great experience. Today we wanted to try the one in Orange Beach. The waiter couldn't read the table to know when to stop. He dropped the F word no less than 30 times when we had kids at the table. He called my son a B**ch and told him he was a Pu**y. My son is only 11 and he knew his age because he asked. We had an older gentleman with us and the waiter wouldn't stop even after being asked. He didn't put in my son's order so he had to wait for his food while the rest of us got to eat. Service was great as they are supposed to be rude to you etc but the food is not good. Friday night 7 pm and there were maybe 10-15 people in there! Not sure how they pay the bills. Went to dicks for cinco de mayo hoping to drink some margaritas but I was unfortunately denied for what reason? I don't know because the server would not tell me he just told me I looked super young and looked like I was I quote "wearing makeup" (I'm a male). Just because I have a good skincare routine doesn't give you a reason to deny me and not tell me why you can't sell me an alcoholic beverage. You're so obviously untrained with looking at ids because it was an Alabama id you should know what that looks like. read more

We have been to Dicks in other cities and it's always an odd bag. The food is normally pretty good and you take the funny servers with it, kids enjoy it. There's normally long lines. This Dicks was nothing like any we have been to before. There was no one there on a weekend night around 7pm. Despite no one being there, tables empty, and waitresses wandering around - the hostess didn't come seat us for about 30 minutes. There was live music setup, this poor guy was singing to himself. The whole thing felt so awkward. When we finally were seated, we got the usual dicks banter and silly hats. The food was awful. Really, really awful. Party of 2 adults and 2 kids and no one ate their food. We ended up getting something on the way back to the hotel. What an experience! Dicks did not disappoint when it came to inappropriate and dark humor, had my whole table of family and friends laughing. You never knew what was going to happen next when your server came back. We didn't think too much about how our food was going to taste because we knew we went for the experience. Overall, the food was not terrible nor the best thing ever. I suggest getting a few appetizers to share between your party as the appetizer's are tasty! One of my friends got the steak and loved it! It is not a cheap place, I believe my husband and I paid $70 for the 2 of us. Food was good, we had the nachos appetizer and it was huge. Enough for two people for a meal. The ribs and wings meal was ok, have had better. The thing that annoyed me was that we ordered a draft beer and it came in a glass that had Dicks logo on it, the waitress said that the glass was complimentary, but when I got the bill I was charged$3.99 for the glass! But on the plus side, they gave us two frisbees that we were not charged for so I was ok with it all. Yes I would recommend this place for the entertainment. But the food wasn't that great. Had the chicken tacos. With the attitude you get here the cheese poured all over them and when I asked for new cheese I didn't get the same cheese. Plus when it comes to the food your paying for the jokes can simmer down.
