I got the grilled sea scallops with Mac and cheese and salad. 10/10 recommend the dish! Both of my parents got the captains platter. They both loved it. Only complain was they said the fish didn't have much flavor. My dad got oysters and said they were good! He rated them a 9/10. All the food was fresh. The salad bar was great. We didn't pay for the all you can eat, we just did the "one trip to the salad bar" because after getting the rest of my food we were too full for more salad! My 2 year old got the kids fried fish and fries. His fish was decent. It was very flaky so the skin just fell off, which is fine he doesn't mind just eating the meat part. The service was great although the young girls at the front desk were not very friendly. Our waitress was excellent. This is for people over 40 years old: We looked at reviews on yelp and saw good prices and we thought about how good "wolf bay's" fried shrimp was back in the day. The price was also great back in the day. Needless to say, this isn't the same restaurant of the past. It's a brand new restaurant with "specials" that are way overpriced and average at best.We had some of the cheapest items on the menu: seafood pasta, split the seafood platter with my 12 year old because they didn't have sufficient options for a kid. The waiter came by to take our order, someone else brought our food, and someone else brought the sauces we asked for. We had two inneractions with the waiter the entire meal. Remember, this place is prices like a "fancy" restaurant now. We marked it down on our list of places to never to return. read more

Stopped in with some family. Not very hungry so ordrred some bacon wrapped jalepenos. They were excellent. For the main meal I just had the cocktail shrimp. 10 good sized shrimp were brought out and they were cooked just right. The cocktail sauce is on the table and has a good amount of horseradish in it. I love cocktail sauce with a lot of heat, so I was happy to have that extra kick to it. Overall good experience as they have indoor and outside seating. we wanted to try Wolf Bay heating mixed reviews and i understand why reviews are mixed. the restaurant is large with a nice outdoor area but something just seems off. not sure what it is. the interior feels like being in a fast food joint except paint is pleasing, chairs are nice and lighting is appropriate. i'm not sure why i didn't like the interior but i didn't. what i did like was the salad bar. i would return for the fresh salad offerings with multiple salad options in addition to the lettuce. i added a cup of gumbo to my lunch and was disappointed in the undercooked rice and the quality of the seafood in the gumbo. service is a bit slow but friendly. there were several people dining on this rainy day so something must be going well?? read more

My kids said they wanted seafood. I looked for seafood restaurants in Yelp and found this one. I'm glad I looked, this restaurant is beautiful and well kept. They have a bar outside with live music. The servers are amazing and super helpful. My daughter was stressing because she didn't k ow if she would like Cajun Alfredo sauce, our server brought out a sample for her to try. She was so happy with it she ordered the Cajun pasta. She loved it. My son had the catfish and me and my wife shared the ribeye. It was all perfectly made! We are very happy with our meals. We had a party of 10 and there was no problems seating us! We dined on the lovely patio. Chris was an incredible server! So attentive and on top of everything! We all ordered starters and everything was delicious! The smoked tuna dip with fried pita wedges was the best we've had. Cajun fried pickles, stuffed mushrooms and fried green tomatoes were all excellent! My cousin ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell and raved. Stopped in here on a local recommendation for a quick bite of seafood. Location is convenient and facility is clean. Service was mediocre, they were polite but not very attentive. Drinks ran dry and food arrived after about 30 minutes. Had the shrimp and grits, grits were a large solid square of rewarmed grits and quite under seasoned. The blackened grouper was quite good, mashed truffle potatoes were heavily salted. My wife liked that they had a medium sized salad bar. We had quite the wait to get inside but that's expected at all of these restaurants during tourist season so that never bothers us. Our server was wonderful, she was attentive and very kind. I'm sad i've forgotten her name! The salad bar was great. I got the cajun pasta which was very tasty and filling. Went tonight with my family of 7. No appetizers were ordered. Service took forever. Over an hour to get us food. It wasn't packed or anything. We got there at 5:30. I had three kids order kids menu stuff. They ate all their food and were satisfied. My oldest kid ordered coconut shrimp appetizer as her meal and she was happy. My sister ordered the filet. Not amazing but she ate it. My husband had the grilled gulf shrimp and broiled popcorn shrimp and said it was perfectly adequate. Now I ordered the captains platter. $46. Lobster tail, fish, scallops, and stuffed crab, broiled. It was awful. It looked like it had sat under the heat lamp for a while. So rubbery. The lobster tail was shriveled up tiny. It would have been one bite and done. I couldn't believe it just by looking at it. I immediately said something and they were going to get me another lobster tail. I took two bites of scallop and a bite each of crab and fish. Terrible. I couldn't believe eat it. Especially for the price. I sent it back. The thing I'm most annoyed about is the customer service. No one came to tell me how it could be made right. They don't seem to care. It's like they get enough business from tourists they don't have to care if the guests like their overpriced food. I didn't eat. Bill was $211 for three kids meals, an appetizer, two entrees and two drinks. I wouldn't go back. It was rubbery and you couldn't cut it with a fork. You should be able to cut into seafood with a fork. Not light a flaky. Crazy overcooked The bright side was the live music. They were fantastic. So fantastic that when my family left to play mini golf my sister stayed to listen and we picked her up when we were finished. I'm just so disappointed that literally no one cared that I didn't eat a thing as I'm spending hundreds at your place. I'm still mad about it th next day. Customer service is big for me. I ordered shrimp and grits with fried catfish instead--perfect combo. About 20 minutes after I ordered, the server asked if I wanted my catfish fried or blackened... a bit late for that. My grits didn't come out at first, but the server brought them later. I also ordered Brussels sprouts and never got them. The food was 10/10. My husband had the Bacon Brie Burger and it was AMAZING! Beware about Wolf Bay's menu pricing though (this is the reason I don't recommend and won't return): the menu, disingenuously, shows CASH prices. This is explained towards the bottom of only one menu page ("Appetizers.") Given the majority of restaurant patrons will be paying by credit card, the menu prices you see are not the prices most visitors will pay. You'll pay 3.5% more. There should be more transparency by Wolf Bay: show credit card prices and offer a cash discount. A similar business also on Perdido Beach Blvd. (other side of the road) offers a cash _discount_. We bought less food than planned so we could pay cash as we were irked by the pricing arrangement. read more

Wolf Bay was a restaurant we walked to from where we were staying at on the Beach. It has great atmosphere with a boardwalk out front over a pond where you can on occasion spot an alligator. The food and service were average at best. Mahi was overcooked and chewy, soup lacked flavor, etc.. if you're just looking for some food to satisfy a hunger then go ahead and try it out. If you want a nice meal I would suggest keep looking the beach has a lot more to offer. read more

There are two areas to sit: outside in the screened in bar area where there's usually a singer and then inside the restaurant. Most people choose outside near the live music in the summertime. I had the gumbo which was thick and very spicy. It wasn't the best I've had but ok. My wife had the lobster chowder but it was more of a corn chowder. I had a dozen raw oysters which were great! Very large, fresh and the all of the sauces to get the cocktail sauce just like you want it. Our server, Brad, was very friendly and Johnny on the spot.
