Service was too notch however the food was average at best. Crab claws were disgusting.

Food was really good and price was comparable to surrounding restaurants. I got the Captains Platter and everything on there was delicious.

I thought everything was very good here and I will come back. It's not my favorite restaurant in town, but it's a very good and a solid contender. Cha Cha's Crab Dip is delicious and sweet. Definitely something different than other restaurants. Their gumbo is a solid choice with a nice dark roux. They have nice ambience and I will definitely go back. read more

This is for people over 40 years old: We looked at reviews on yelp and saw good prices and we thought about how good "wolf bay's" fried shrimp was back in the day. The price was also great back in the day. Needless to say, this isn't the same restaurant of the past. It's a brand new restaurant with "specials" that are way overpriced and average at best.We had some of the cheapest items on the menu: seafood pasta, split the seafood platter with my 12 year old because they didn't have sufficient options for a kid. The waiter came by to take our order, someone else brought our food, and someone else brought the sauces we asked for. We had two inneractions with the waiter the entire meal. Remember, this place is prices like a "fancy" restaurant now. We marked it down on our list of places to never to return. read more

we wanted to try Wolf Bay heating mixed reviews and i understand why reviews are mixed. the restaurant is large with a nice outdoor area but something just seems off. not sure what it is. the interior feels like being in a fast food joint except paint is pleasing, chairs are nice and lighting is appropriate. i'm not sure why i didn't like the interior but i didn't. what i did like was the salad bar. i would return for the fresh salad offerings with multiple salad options in addition to the lettuce. i added a cup of gumbo to my lunch and was disappointed in the undercooked rice and the quality of the seafood in the gumbo. service is a bit slow but friendly. there were several people dining on this rainy day so something must be going well?? read more

Food was horrible...so much seasoning on one order you couldn't taste the item...my side of rice tasted like it had set out all day...and the beer was barely chilled and in a room temp pint glass...our server was very prompt and assisted us in every way..typical seafood vibe and decor but nice... Stopped in with some family. Not very hungry so ordrred some bacon wrapped jalepenos. They were excellent. For the main meal I just had the cocktail shrimp. 10 good sized shrimp were brought out and they were cooked just right. The cocktail sauce is on the table and has a good amount of horseradish in it. I love cocktail sauce with a lot of heat, so I was happy to have that extra kick to it. Overall good experience as they have indoor and outside seating. Atmosphere was average for a busy restaurant. I sat at the bar for dinner. Ordered the parmesan crusted grouper which came with truffle mashed potatoes (too salty) and spinach sides for 46.00. The grouper was over cooked and dry even with the caper sauce which stopped any possibility of crusty exterior. It became soggy. Maybe trying to make up for the dry fish. Mary at the bar did a good job and was friendly to us. It was evident she needed help tho. She was covering the bar and all the high tops. Food and drink. The mushroom caps were average. The gumbo was weak and tomatoee. The red fish was so tough I couldn't even cut it with a knife much less a fork. Overall disappointed with the food experience. read more

We had quite the wait to get inside but that's expected at all of these restaurants during tourist season so that never bothers us. Our server was wonderful, she was attentive and very kind. My kids said they wanted seafood. I looked for seafood restaurants in Yelp and found this one. I'm glad I looked, this restaurant is beautiful and well kept. They have a bar outside with live music. The servers are amazing and super helpful. My daughter was stressing because she didn't k ow if she would like Cajun Alfredo sauce, our server brought out a sample for her to try. She was so happy with it she ordered the Cajun pasta. She loved it. My son had the catfish and me and my wife shared the ribeye. It was all perfectly made! We are very happy with our meals. Came in here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. Walked across the street from the Phoenix buildings. The fact that they have a designated lunch menu caught my eye. The bourbon shrimp was the perfect sized meal for lunch. The meal itself was very simple; just like I like it! It was tasty. The place was slow but the service was great. We had a party of 10 and there was no problems seating us! We dined on the lovely patio. Chris was an incredible server! So attentive and on top of everything! We all ordered starters and everything was delicious! The smoked tuna dip with fried pita wedges was the best we've had. Cajun fried pickles, stuffed mushrooms and fried green tomatoes were all excellent! My cousin ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell and raved. I ordered shrimp and grits with fried catfish instead--perfect combo. About 20 minutes after I ordered, the server asked if I wanted my catfish fried or blackened... a bit late for that. My grits didn't come out at first, but the server brought them later. I also ordered Brussels sprouts and never got them. The food was 10/10. My husband had the Bacon Brie Burger and it was AMAZING! Wolf Bay was a restaurant we walked to from where we were staying at on the Beach. It has great atmosphere with a boardwalk out front over a pond where you can on occasion spot an alligator. The food and service were average at best. Mahi was overcooked and chewy, soup lacked flavor, etc.. if you're just looking for some food to satisfy a hunger then go ahead and try it out. If you want a nice meal I would suggest keep looking the beach has a lot more to offer. read more

Wolf Bay Lodge - A Disappointing Return After 30+ years of family trips, we returned this spring to find Wolf Bay Lodge completely commercialized and indistinguishable from any chain restaurant. The menu has been changed away from either roots, which was basic yet the best, now it's just another seafood restaurant. What was once a beloved Gulf Shores staple is now just another mediocre tourist trap that's no longer worth the visit. read more

There are two areas to sit: outside in the screened in bar area where there's usually a singer and then inside the restaurant. Most people choose outside near the live music in the summertime. I had the gumbo which was thick and very spicy. It wasn't the best I've had but ok. My wife had the lobster chowder but it was more of a corn chowder. I had a dozen raw oysters which were great! Very large, fresh and the all of the sauces to get the cocktail sauce just like you want it. Our server, Brad, was very friendly and Johnny on the spot. Fast service, beautiful ambiance in the patio, great and pleasant servers, and the food... amazing! Had the filet and it was cooked to perfection. The truffle mashed potatoes were literally the best mashed potatoes I've ever had!!! Highly recommend joining the waitlist when you want to go so you can get seater quickly. So many restaurants are so busy that the wait time is often well over 30 minutes. Using the app, we had no wait and were seated right away. Wish I would have read my own yelp review before coming here tonight. I ordered the blackened mahi mahi with Brussel sprouts and fries. I also had the fried pickles and mozzarella sticks as an app. The apps came out and I really enjoyed the pickles while the mozzarella sticks tasted frozen. The mahi mahi came out on a plate with two hush puppies. Presentation was seriously lacking. That being said what it lacked in presentation it also lacked in flavor and it was cooked to hell and back. I will skip this place on future trips and stick with the blackened Cobia at Zekes. read more
