Pink pony on right. Home of the OG "shark attack"

Went in and ordered a salad and a platter. After an hour, the waiter said "your order will be out soon". Ok. I said "I've been here for an hour and cancel the salad because we are about to walk out of here. "I'll go get my boss to talk to you"- not. Then I turn around and the party of 10 had the man complaining they ordered and "they forgot about the girl's hamburger ". Aside from them being assured, they waited over an hour for that $20 hamburger. ANY SERVER ANYWHERE will tell you it is unacceptable and unprofessional. The band took 2 hours to set up. Such horrible service, they "don't need" your money. They will take it, but not deliver.

We arrived at 9:12 and asked to put our name on the list for an outdoor table for two people. The hostess took our phone number and said she wasn't sure how long the wait would be. After an hour passed we walked back inside to check on our table. The hostess said "I don't know what's going on with your phone I've been calling and calling." I have had no missed calls, and I verified my phone was receiving calls, and I verified the phone number she wrote down was correct. She had seated six tables that walked in after us, four of them outside and all larger parties than 2.

We will start the way anyone does when going to an establishment. Outside is cool, wife and kids got to take a picture walking up. Then we got to the hostess and this is where it fell apart. She seemed to be doing quadratic equations while sitting tables. Then ignored us for 5-10 minutes, when we were finally acknowledged I let her know there were 4 of us and we would prefer outside. She proceeded to tell us she didn't think there were any tables we could sit out there at. (We could clearly see there were many open spots.) I'm not sure if she thought it was funny, but she didn't appear to know how to calm the facial expressions to portray that. Finally she sat us... outside.... At one of the empty tables. Then we sat there with no menus. After about 5 minutes she brought some to us. Let's just say that this was the worst part of the experience. The owner should truly look at moving her to the back or the position of her employment. After that- it was amazing. The view was beautiful. It's right on the beach. The food was ok. The craw claws are worth getting and splitting. The drinks were awesome. Our waitress made up for the horrible entry experience. She was delightful and joked and smiled. Gotta knock the stars down though since the entry experience was so horrid. Owner, if you're reading this.... Really. Please. Check your hostess's. Give them a good program to seat tables. It's not a math class, and it's truly not difficult. I've done it many times before.

We came in for drinks and seafood for a bachelorette party this weekend. The drinks were delicious, and I thought the live music was cool, but the service was pretty slow and the seafood was just barely average. I would definitely come again for the drinks and vibes!

I've reviewed this place in the past and it's always good. The chicken nachos were delicious and such a huge portion, definitely more than two people could finish. The service was good once, although when we first got there it seemed like they were having some confusion getting the servers assigned. We sat for a little while before someone came to ask if we had been served. After that the service was great, it just seemed like it was busy and we got lost in the shuffle at first. I did have two issues on my last visit. The first is that they had live music. That's not an issue but it was SO loud. The inside is like 1,000 square feet, but they had it amplified like they were trying to fill Madison Square Garden. It was painful, so we sat outside, and that was the second issue. There are very few lights outside, and once the sun went down it was almost impossible to see. My table, and all of the tables around us were using cell phone lights to see the food. Turn down the live music and add some light!!!

Pink pony, pub bar, small, and cozy with excellent live music!

Super cute with excellent live music great atmosphere and amazing drinks! The service and staff are all super friendly! They don't serve food after nine, but they do keep the drinks going!!

Small restaurant but very fun! Nice staff. Relatively quick service (in and out in about an hour). We got an app, a couple drinks, and two meals. Burger was tastey as was the po'boy that my husband got. Wish Chappell roan was there but no affiliation to the great singer

Loveeeee this spot! Right on the beach, great view. Staff was super friendly! Food came out in a decent time and was delicious. You do have to pay to park there and it wouldn't let me select any time lower than 4 hours. The only issue is their tshirts. They run out very quickly. I wish they kept more on site. We weren't able to get any.

Ok. Pink Pony Pub is iconic. It's on the beach, staff is pleasant, menu isn't trying too hard but definitely boasts some amazing seafood, beer selection is on point and pricing is on par I feel. We came in on a Friday evening, it was packed but they were able to slide a few tables together to accommodate us inside. (It's a smaller establishment, and big groups aren't ideal.) All of our food was sublime. I had the fried grouper sandwich and I normally take home leftovers, this was so good I couldn't not eat it all! My kids were clean plate club as well. The inside is small, but bright with a lot of great windows showcasing the gulf. Parking is busy. So yeah. I went with my mama and she said God, what have you done? You're a pink pony girl And you eat at the pub? And I went-- Oh mama, I'm just having fun The menu it really appeals It's where I belong down at the Pink Pony Pub

We ordered the Smoked tuna dip for our appetizer. The Cob Salad for an entrée and the Lump Crab Cakes. The atmosphere was nice and great to be able to look at the Gulf of Mexico. The food, although it looked really good at best, was just mediocre. Biggest disappointment was the smoked tuna dip, appetizer, basically just tastes like a tuna fish sandwich with tortilla chips. Some of the other meals and other people received it look good And might try those if we come back, but then again, ours looked good as well. When I told the server of our dissatisfaction with the appetizer, the only comment to us was, yeah I really don't like that one very much either.

The shrimp my girlfriend got was way over cooked. Appetizer (gator bites were really good) but my oysters had massive hunks of shell all through them. So bad I sent mine back and got the peel and eat shrimp which were also over cooked. The service was actually really good though for as busy as they were and the waiter was friendly. Not sure I would eat here again though.

Our server, Michael was absolutely wonderful. (Plus he has amazing hair!) Anyway, we started with my Smoked Old Fashioned (It was ok, bartender went a little heavy on the bitters, and I should've asked for Bulleit Rye but that was my bad.) Anyway, Honey got a Black and Blue. Both came out super quick and we were instantly refreshed. We chose to sit in the patio bc the weather was nice and not too hot or cold. It was just right. We started with the ColCannon Boxty Appetizer. It is small balls of shredded potatoes that are fried, and come with a delish aioli dipping sauce. We chose to split the Shepherds pie for our main course. The meat gave me meat loaf vibes but with a ground beef texture and a unique aftertaste.. It was good, just the texture is unique! It came with a small portion of the Brown Bread with Garlic butter. It was good! We asked for more Garlic butter. It was delicious! We would've ordered a Creme Brûlée but we were both stuffed. It was overall a great place and we will visit it again. A must visit if you are in Orange Beach!

Coming for dinner on a Friday night, we were definitely concerned about getting a spot to eat. Parking is definitely limited, but we were pleased to find there was no way for a table outside. The weather was lovely and the music piped outside (often featuring Irish artists such as one of my favorites, Hozier!) made the whole atmosphere perfect. The inside is cute (albeit dim) and fulfills the pub fantasy. The ladies' restroom was clean. Our waitress was cheerful and fun. It took a little while for her to come get our drink order but after that she was johnny on the spot. The other waitstaff was friendly and professional too. My parents split the fish and chips, I got the chicken pot pie, and we split a side of colcannon. The sweet tea I had to drink was a little on the unsweet side for me, but I often find that's the case at restaurants on the gulf...further evidence that Florida/the gulf area is fundamentally different from the rest of the Deep South. Lol. My parents definitely enjoyed the fish and chips overall. I think my dad was hoping for a little more salt/seasoning in the fish breading but my mom was VERY pleased with hers. I'd never had colcannon before and thought what we got was just alright, figuring it wasn't really for me. My mom, who's tried it a few times different places, said she'd had a lot better. It had a pretty strong beer taste from the gravy on top. I'd be curious to try it again somewhere else and see how it compares. The shining star of the night was definitely my chicken pot pie. The crust was delightfully brown, the chicken was succulent and plentiful, and the sauce it swam in with the tender veggies was super flavorful and aromatic. It was perfect for a very slightly chilly evening. The brown bread served with it was absolutely delightful too, warm and rich and topped with delicious herb butter. I could easily eat a whole loaf. This was a great meal! Thanks for a unique and tasty dinner in Gulf Shores! I highly recommend the chicken pot pie to anyone considering it. :)

Our appetizers were the 4 pieces coconut shrimp and the pita bread chips with spinach dip. Both really yummy and good portion size, too. As I started with, we got there late afternoon and it wasn't real busy so I can't say how loud it might be in the evenings or how long of a wait if it was busy. First things first: parking. It's limited and easy to miss, so keep an eye out. The restaurant itself is cozy--only two tables inside plus a small bar. If you're coming with a group larger than four, the outdoor picnic tables are definitely your best bet. They offer $10 wine bottle specials, which we, of course, took full advantage of. The staff was warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. They moved us inside as soon as a table opened up--and that's exactly when an emergency occurred. A guest tripped on the stairs while leaving, and the team had to call an ambulance. Despite the situation, the staff stayed calm, efficient, and compassionate. They managed the emergency, continued serving guests, and our food still arrived promptly. The dishes were flavorful and authentic, portions were generous, and the prices were absolutely reasonable.
