The Greek Burger is truly the best burger I've ever had. I eat too fast but this thing is so good I slowed down to savor every bite. Lots of fresh lettuce. Perfectly done. I'd also add that their bathrooms are spotless.

100% family friendly Great kid meals to choose from even for the picky eaters

An order at the counter place with a small menu of sandwiches, burgers and sides. Portions were large. We shared a double patty melt and double pimento cheese burger. The burger patties were seasoned, juicy and were prepared. Toppings were plentiful. We tried the house fries and waffle fries. The waffle fries are a new trial for them. We found the waffle fries to be better since they were crispy. Can't go wrong with either though. The seasoning was generous and flavorful. Service was awesome. Bo (or Beau?) took our order. He was friendly and kept the tables and dining rooms clean! The place was immaculate for a fast food place. Large dining room with plenty of seating. They have a large dog-friendly outdoor space also. Parking in front is limited, but plenty of space in the back with a back entrance also. A great find that we just happened to take a chance on for lunch.

This was my first visit and I'll have to say that we were pleasantly surprised and impressed! The food was delicious and plenty of it! The service was polite and quick. And the atmosphere was quiet and very clean Only problem we had was they ran out of sweet tea at 6pm! Highly recommend just don't want sweet tea!

This place is great! My experience started with ordering at the counter with a very friendly staff member. I explained it was my first time and she offered suggestions that I eagerly accepted. I went with the pimento burger with brussels. Burger was cooked perfect and the brussels were a great option when I wasn't feeling French fries. It was a Sunday and I liked that they had the football games on too. I would definitely return!

I just ate here for the first time with my honey and a friend and neighbor and it was good experience from start to finish. Ox Kitchen opened its doors in 2017 in the back corner of what is now The Mill in Fairhope, but their location moved to it's current spot at 365 Greeno Road South, Fairhope. Their food is made fresh daily, from the smoked turkey and pecan-smoked wings, to the homemade French fries, sauces and salad dressings, even down to the homemade pickles. The freshness is on the plate here. Their menu isn't expansive but they have some great choices that are fine well, such as: Apps: Ox Fries, Pecan Smoked Wings, Roasted Brussels, Hummus, Shrimp Tacos Salads: Greek Salad, Southwest Protein Power Bowl, Berry & Feta, Chopped Southern, all available with add-ons of Chicken Grilled or Fried, Shrimp Blackened or Fried or House Smoked Turkey. Sandwiches: The Ox Burger, Greek Burger, Pimento Cheese & Bacon Burger (burgers ion brioche buns and available in doubles & Gluten Free) Patty Melt, Gulf Shrimp Po-Boy, House Smoked Turkey Sandwich, (Gambino French Bread) and Gyro. Sides: House Fries, Side Salad, Mac & Cheese and Ponzu Roasted Brussels. They also have a nice kids menu, as well. My honey and I went full on Greek, we shared a Greek salad which was provided with a second bowl. It was very fresh and tasty. She has the Greek burger which was a hearty patty topped with feta, lettuce, roasted peppers, pickled onion and tzatziki sauce on a great bricje bun and it was delicious. I had something that I've never tried, while I've had a lot of gyros but never with blackened shrimp and it was really terrific. The very generous portion of shrimp was obviously local, fat and juicy, with a great seasoning and it was served with a very nice hummus and pita points, all very good! Our friend had the Ox Burger which is served on a brioche bun with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, house pickle, onion, Dukes mayonnaise and Ox gravy. She also chose the Ponzu Roasted Brusselsl Sprouts l, which I tried and liked, and she loved the whole meal. Bottom line: It's simple quality food made with fresh ingredients in a clean, bright, comfy space with fast friendly staff and they offer a veteran discount. Highly recommended! Solid tasty food even with the limited menu. The Ox burger was well seasoned and messy (as expected with gravy on it ). The Mac and cheese was a little bland, but the fries were yummy. Husband had the gyro that he really enjoyed. Ample seating for fast dining, and there is an outdoor patio in the back for enjoying beautiful weather.

Our second trip to OX for lunch! We both had burgers today. Myself the OX Burger (single) and my bride had the Greek Burger. Both were juicy, cooked to the temperature and loaded with flavor. The buns were toasted and buttered. The OX burger is served with American Cheese, white onion, homemade pickles, a thin slice of fresh tomato, iceberg lettuce, AL White Sauce and brown gravy. My 2 cents...just eat it like they serve it. All of the flavors and textures just add to the enjoyment. Also, try the single before diving into a double unless you just want a to-go bag. The Greek burger differs on the ingredients... Feta Cheese, pickled onions, roasted peppers and Tzatziki Sauce. Again, very delicious. My bride added that next time she will ask for their Bleu Cheese in place of the Tzatziki just because she really likes their BC dressing. We both ordered the side of fries. Really, 2 people could share one order and that would be plenty. The service similar to last week. Friendly, professional and prompt Ambience was very good with simple chairs and clean tables. Perfect for lunch.

The double ox burger was PHENOMENAL !! I got it without the gravy and the white AL sauce aka white bbq sauce. The fries were seasoned perfectly and cooked the same. Nothing bad to say about this meal. Super simple but very tasty.

The Ox fries are divine!! Gravy and cheese... don't question just try it! Pecan roasted wings, lovvvvved them. The sauce was delicious and so was the chipotle dip we got. 1 less star because the poboy was just bread mostly. I wasn't impressed. I couldn't ever get shrimp or sauce flavor. Chicken salad sandwich had warm crispy fried chicken! The eggs were slices in such a tasty way. The spring salad doesn't hold the dressing as well so recommend doing with more spinach and more micro greens. We over all enjoyed this. Just know this is a more modern cafe than where you have a cafeteria style meaning you pay and they bring you the dishes. Enjoy, we did

It honestly feels a little like you stumbled into a hidden spot on vacation. The food was solid across the board. You can tell they actually care about what they're serving, everything tasted fresh, not heavy or overdone. The menu has a great mix, from burgers to pasta and seafood, so it's easy to find something no matter what you're in the mood for. The shrimp and grits and the pasta dishes are delicious , and even the appetizers were on point. Service was just as good, friendly, attentive, but not hovering. You don't feel rushed, which is rare these days. What really makes this place though is the vibe. Whether you sit inside or out, it's got that relaxed, slightly upscale but still comfortable feel. If you're in Fairhope and want somewhere that feels local (not touristy), this is it. Easy 5 stars. Will definitely go back!!

It was a nice day so we sat outside in a cool little ally. We started with bruschetta which was great. Not what we think of but delicious. The only negative was the meatballs were a little dry. Would definitely go back though.

This was not a hard and solid decision on my part. Instead I had decided that if I had my druthers, I would not eat there. Of course when it is my babécita's birthday my druthers were of no consideration and I found myself again at Tamara's for a Saturday brunch. We arrived to find the main dinning area to be full, and since we didn't feel like eating in the open to the outside area, we learned that we had an estimated 20-30 minutes wait for a table. Their was six to eight customers waiting around the hostess's stand inside, with another six waiting outside under a covered area. We decided to wait outside, but after about 15 minutes a rain shower began. The kind people waiting on the benches and standing under the awning encouraged us to move in further from the edge where they we were getting wet. A couple standing moved into the restaurant to make even more room for us. The hostess, seeing that it was raining outside when this couple opened the door, came to the door and invited us all in, announcing that she would make room for us all. Which she promptly did. My wife had informed the hostess of my needs, and had requested a corner table for ease of access, but once inside the restaurant, I noticed that the table arrangement seemed less crowded, which helped to ease my concerns about getting to a table. As it happened, right at the 20 minute mark, we were informed that our table was ready, and we were led to a table, not on a corner, but to a table at the end of a row of tables, and against a partition. I found this arrangement even better than our requested corner table, as it meant that I had no foot traffic behind me that I might inadvertently bump into, or bump into me. I was grateful for the evidently experienced hostess working out such a fine alternative to our request, and doing it in such a timely manner. Now I get to the food, and wait staff service. All I can say is that Tamara's management has both pegged to the highest degree. Our waiter appeared immediately, took our orders since we had perused the menu while we were waiting to be seated. As for our food, my birthday girl had the Spinach Eggs Benedict, and I had the Fried Chicken and Waffles. Both were excellent. Neither of us had a single complaint, and my wife, who is fascinated with Tamara's long list of various types of Eggs Benedicts, promised that we will be back for many more visits to try each one. I am grateful that I was forced to forego my pledge not to patronize this establishment again, as it provided an opportunity to learn how the good people at Tamara's made adjustments that allowed my experience to be enjoyed more fully. I am also grateful in that we can continue to enjoy their excellent food.

First off, the ambiance is very nice--comfortable, welcoming, and a great setting for a casual evening out. The service was also very good. Our server was attentive and friendly, which definitely made a positive impression. As for the food: * Raw oysters ($22): Fresh, plump, and overall very good quality. That said, it almost felt like each oyster had a bit of added salt, which threw me off a little. Not bad, just slightly off from what I'd expect. * Sushi-grade ahi tuna appetizer ($14): This was one of the highlights--very good flavor and nicely prepared. * Gumbo (large - $12): Probably the biggest disappointment. I'd rate it about a 5/10. It wasn't terrible, but it lacked depth and richness compared to what you'd expect in this region. * Happy hour mimosa ($3) and margarita ($6): Solid for the price--no complaints there. Total came out to about $62 cash ($64.30 with card fee), which feels reasonable for what we ordered. Overall, this is a place I'd come back to if I were already in the area and someone suggested it, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way for. If I did return, it would likely be for the oysters or the ahi tuna. Good experience, just not quite memorable enough to push it past three stars.
