Absolutely amazing food! Best in the area! The fried green tomatoes were hot and fresh, and the budget was huge! Not a bad price either. There is additional parking in the back, but way more tables than parking. Recommend you carpool if you come at a busy time. read more

The environment was so welcoming due to Miss Tiffany's welcoming attitude. She made us feel like we were family. We enjoyed it so much. We came back twice in one week. The food was pretty good and priced appropriately. You got your moneys worth when you ate there if I'm ever in the area again, I was truly return and try something new on the menu. read more

Location is good. Parking lot is smaller. Inside is nice and lively. Food overall was good. Tomatoes were fried to perfection but do lack flavor without the ranch, fish poboy was excellent and the only true complaint came from the grilled cheese. It was very oily or buttery to the point that the bread was soft & slippery. Our waitress was really nice and attentive as well. read more

Unpopular opinion AND still completely true: had been wanting to eat their locally 'famed' burger for a few years given that its reigned Nappie fave for a few years. Quite difficult to dine here during a work week bc it's packed to the gills. Ate on a 3pm-ish weekday, rain threatening. Relatively empty; servers super southern friendly. I let them know that it was my initial visit; no fan fare or any flare. This is the burger place equivalent of a true ice house; no frills 100%. Wood paneling throughout; only windows are the front facing. Terrible lighting, I do not recall wine offerings at all. Tiny beer selection. Ordered the Butch burger not knowing that it's an 8oz serving of ...meat. No crust on an obviously frozen patty which was too pink for an order of med/rare. Extra extra lettuce request resulted in two green, partial leaves; yellow mustard, ketchup, or mayo as condiments. That's it elevated burger fans; tell Siri to reroute your drive bc after the alleged hype, I was actually cross to have allowed myself to lower my burger/ dining standards. Shame on me for being hopeful; live learn, & scour Yelp. Parking is a cluster even during non peak hours. Wedge fries? I want fries, not baked, flash fried and then fully fried baked potato...sections. Totally a huge burger for the price point so good on you Butch; A LOT of food for the price point. If I had three thumbs, I'd give BC all three for the volume of food per dollar. As for me, if it eats overtly frozen AND LACKS A DISTINCT BEEF FLAVOR in tandem with bare bones sides, cheeses, condiments, & has ZERO seared burger CRUST, what is the point?? BC, EVOLVE with modernity and expand taste offerings to the nationwide burger climate if more longevity is for what it is that you're aiming. Not at all a bad place mind you* just SEVERAL OTHER burger businesses here locally which actively jockey in an effort to maintain what were the glory days of BC. I don't get it Mobilians; BC offers zero flavorful burgers. read more

Mobile staple! Super small, so expect a wait no matter what time you go, but it's a must do if you want to go to a local diner. Everyone's super nice! Sometimes the kitchen is slow, but sometimes it's really fast....either way, their food has always been very consistent. I love how they fry things. Their batter is very flavorful. And their fries are probably some of my favorite! They have daily specials, so we had to go on fried pork chop Wednesday! Their other days are just as good. Ordered: Baggs Wyoming Buffalo wings Telluride Rooster Fingers Fried Pork Chops read more

Have to score this place a 100. Excellent hamburgers. Excellent wings. And excellent Rio Grande nachos. The staff were very friendly. The waitress was attentive to each tables needs. It's a laid back local spot. The inside is decorated with local flare and keeps it simple yet a little busy. Will always go back and recommend you to visit. read more

Went on Tuesday to get the special and they had ran out. So I settled for a burger with greens. Best burger ever had hands down. I couldn't live Down here lol read more

First time trying, to go order. Nice little place, dive bar/ restaurant feel. Parking behind and across the street. (Be careful crossing the street- some people don't slow down for ya ). The hostess and bartender were friendly. Order 2 of the now famous Butcher burger, (you can choose the temp on your burger here ) fries and onion rings as sides. Burgers were rather large, cooked exactly as ordered and well seasoned. Comes with a poppyseed bun, bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, and tomato. Fries are more like seasoned potato wedges, very tasty. The onion rings are batter dipped then fried, to me they had an unusual flavor leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. I look forward to returning and trying more things. Recommend you try this place, don't keep driving by. read more

Oh yes! Delicious so far we have tried the burger . The mushrooms . The ruben... OMG so good!! French dip . Onion rings. Fried pickles. The service was amazing we had Megan she was great This place has been here a long time for a reason! Highly recommend read more

Parking here can be a bit tricky with a few spots out front and a few in the back. If you drive to the back and there aren't any spots, you will have to back out the alley or try and three point turn to go back out. Service here is great and attentive and we're always sat quickly. Great and delish, no frills burger. read more

I've eaten here for years. The only reason why you're not getting ONE star is because I KNOW you can do better... We had to go order that was completely off and even when I asked it to be corrected-no go. Then the waitress had the audacity to stare me up and down when I didn't leave a tip. (She didn't wait on me!) The chicken was undercooked, and the potato salad had no taste. Hopefully, if I ever choose to dine in again - which is questionable because of tonight's experience, it will be better. But today was a complete and utter ZERO! read more

Honestly didn't live up to the hype. It was okay. I did really like the fries (more like potato wedges) and the onion rings. The burger was reallly "just okay". The service was fine. The vibe was fine-local hang out type. read more

Great afternoon lunch. Service was point on starting with chili as an appetizer and a glass of unsweetened tea. For my meal went for the Famous Butch Burger with onion rings. I must give the onion rings a high score, coating and texture perhaps best I've ever had anywhere!!! The FBB was more than I could eat. Ended up taking 1/2 home for later tonight. Since we were there little after 3pm there was plenty of seating. With the additional parking available it was an outing to remember. We will be back! read more

Butch Cassidy's Cafe - Looking forward to the Butch Cassidy Burger!!! - Burgers Near Me - Mobile, Alabama

We stopped in on vacation and the burgers were great and the service was wonderful. Really enjoyed our dinner

The shrimp poboys were fantastic and their cheeseburger was delicious. We loved the location and the service was great.

Very divey place where the locals go. Very busy on weekend nights (haven't been there during the week). The "World Famous" burger was good but nothing spectacular. The fries were really good. Everyone was very friendly and you felt welcomed there. Place had a very lived in look and feel. Very noisy so not a place for conversation. read more

This place has gone downhill. Took over an hour for two burgers. Ridiculously slow kitchen.

Wow for starters the coke was flat. The chicken sandwich was tough and no flavor bland. The two tablespoon of funky potato salad tasted old. It used tk be really good a while back restaurants are really falling short. read more

Hamburger ! I very much well know establishment in Mobile. People come back for the food and the service. The individuals you don't see behind the scenes in the kitchen is what has this cafe' full on a daily basis. read more

Greeted promptly and seated immediately. Waitress extremely courteous, and introduced herself, Risha. Place was clean and music was playing. Atmosphere was very pleasant. Food arrived hot off the grill and absolutely delicious. My friends and I each had the Now Famous Butch Cassidy burger with onion rings. The food was extremely good. We enjoyed it. Our drink preferences varied, the sweet tea was delicious. Not too sweet but just right. It's been a minute since I had a burger from this place but I was not doing reviews then on Yelp. But this place is great I recommend this place for great eating. Dress was very casual among most of the clientele. A very enjoyable experience. Waitress was very attentive. read more

Food excellent every time. We ate here when we were moving out of Biloxi and since we were so close to Butch's and famished we decided to eat there. We have been back numerous times and the service and quality are always spot on. Noon can get really busy so keep that in mind if you go. read more

The service here is the best. They know you by name and are always pleasant. All of the food is terrific especially the wings.

First off. The people are awesome. Really can't emphasize this enough and that's what makes a place tick. The sandwiches are decent but not life changing. Decent Reuben and burger. The girl at the bar was so sweet and got me a tea while I waited for my carryout. The inside is fun and inviting. read more

Rooster fingers (chicken strips) and onion rings were great! My husband had a burger and fries and said he was satisfied. Lots of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid movie photos on the walls. Cute hole in the wall place with good food. read more

best burger ,onion rings and service! It's a midtown classic. Be prepared to wait if you go after 6:00pm but it's worth the wait.

Absolutely delicious! Our server was extremely busy but we weren't in a hurry. Had some cheese nachos, real cheese, none of that fake pour cheese and my friend ordered chili cheese fries as out apps. We shared a Butch cheeseburger with onion rings. I also had a salad. Too much food but very good! I had some sweet tea that wasn't that good. This place was wall to wall with people and we didn't end up in a booth it was a table in the middle of crazy, but that's what happens at a popular place! read more

I went a little before lunch one day to place an order for me and a few coworkers. It didn't take very long for our food. I ordered the crab claws and they were good. The service was also really good. I would definitely go back but be mindful of peak hours. There's hardly any parking at the building but they do have a big lot across the street. read more

The burger was good but not exceptional. Onion rings were delicious. Reasonably priced for what was offered.

I can see why Butch Cassidy's is at the top of many Best Burgers in Alabama lists. I bookmarked this place years ago and finally got to try it while on a trip to Mobile. I ordered the Butch Burger and fries, and I was not disappointed. The burger is made with simple, fresh ingredients. The patty was juicy, and was topped with freshly sliced tomato and green lettuce. No iceberg here. They also used a great poppyseed Kaiser roll. And the fries were excellent, not just an after thought. Simple potato wedges fried to crispy perfection. If you asked me to point you to a cheeseburger in paradise, I'd send you here. read more

This visit was really disappointing. Our server did not smile once, so we didn't feel welcome. I ordered the Pollo Nachos with a side order of sour cream. I got a pile of semi-soggy chips with cold melted cheese, half a bag of shredded lettuce, five jalapeño slices, hardly any chicken at all, a ramekin of salsa, and a packet of sour cream on the side. All of this was piled on a regular plate, not over a platter, so with every chip removed toppings were toppling to the tabletop. I basically ate a salad today, with unappealing chips, and an occasional bit of salsa and sour cream as the "dressing." Husband and BIL ordered burgers, and they looked decent. We never got refills on drinks, though, and our server held onto a card for about 20 min before getting it/the receipts back. This visit was a 180° compared to visits in years past. We were last here about 7 years ago, but I never would've guessed that the service had fallen like this. If I could make two recommendations, it would be 1) training with servers about customer service, and 2) thinking through the process of plating dishes and making sure they come out hot. Again, my melted cheese was cold (so cold globs of cheese were pulled away and eaten with a fork), and the burgers were not hot. The "seasoned" potato wedges weren't well seasoned according to Husband, but they looked tasty! read more

Being an Elite Yelper I think it is my duty to give my honest opinion on Butch Cassidy's famous Butch burger and establishment as a whole. The restaurant is very "divey" reminds me of the Bigger Jigger from mama's family LOL. Old, grungy and dusty looking but most places with that kind of atmosphere have delicious food. Our waitress JoJo was very friendly and talkative. She told us that they were cleaning the grill and it would be about an hour wait for a well done burger. YIKES!! I ordered the famous Butch burger and fries. We ordered fried green tomatoes as the appetizer and they were delicious. Fried crispy and golden to perfection it came with ranch but JoJo offered to bring us some prairie sauce. It was good but tasted just like it was foo sauce from Foosackly's LOL!!! Finally my burger came it was yummy with all the fixings. I wouldn't call the it famous but it's definitely made with a good grade of beef. My mister ordered the fish platter and he said it was frozen food section quality fish. Overall it was an ok and ok service. Maybe we went on a bad day. But I would definitely get an order of fried green tomatoes to-go. read more

Outstanding food and service however does not offer a veterans discount but the quality it perfectly paired

Great burgers. They were slammed for lunch but still very accommodating. Will definitely go back

This is an incredible local spot that's been around for 20 + years. The waitresses are friendly, helpful and attentive. The vibe is laid back and food is good. I've had several things on the menu over the last few years including the soon-to-be famous Butch Burger. The burger is on my top three list for incredible burgers in the city. I recently tried the chicken taco salad and it was delicious. There was loads of shredded chicken on the bottom. This thing was packed full of goodness. It's a easy drive from any place in the city. Dine in or carry out, it's worth it. read more
