The staff was friendly and the food was good by any standard for a being a burger joint. So the only drawbacks.. when I was the only one in the restaurant. The staff was in the dining room staring their phones, and the overall restaurant was filthy. Every table needed wiped down and the floor needed cleaned big time. A good mopping and sweeping. There was trash on the floor and crumbs everywhere. If you time to lean you have time to clean! Is my motto. A very clean restaurant makes people want to come back. So having the staff clean during slow times is critical.. other than that the food is tasty and a great menu. I would not be deterred to try more stuff in the future. read more

This is my first time at Bay Town Burgers, it's such a cute spot nicely decorated, with fire music playing. Although the burger's looked delicious we dropped in to try the beignets to satisfy our vicious sweet tooth. We ordered the mini beignets, we had to send them back because they were crunchy and thin. The new beignets came back the regular size and much better in texture. I enjoyed the taste and the butter cream dipping sauce was decadant. I enjoyed the service of the staff, I didn't get his name however although he was new he took good care of us as we were new to Mo' Bay Beignets, that sits inside Bay Town Burgers. We will be trying the burgers next time for sure. read more

I don't know who the managers are if they even have them. How is it we been coming for 2 years or so and the food good or straight up trash. Every Tuesday they have someone new when we come, yet the food is done well only if two specific people are there, anyone else terrible. Fries soggy as hell and dry, how can you make fries soggy and dry at the same time. Last few months they add less and less fries to where theirs only a few of them compared to how it was before. As a fast food business how do you manage to fuck up damn near every week and have new people work there as well, it's retarded, but somehow it's still open. read more

The food is yummy. But pricey. $$. I ordered the three sliders to go. It doesn't come with fries so I ordered fries and a small fountain drink. And the small drink is really small about 6-8 ounces. My total was over $18 before tip. read more

This is my second time having Bay Town Burger. My first time in believe I had a regular burger. I don't remember much at all about the burger. I can say it wasn't bad because I definitely would've remembered if it was. This time I chose the Bubba's Texas Clubhouse Burger and onion rings. I ordered online and was told that my meal would be ready in 15 minutes. That was good news but I was working from home and in the middle of a meeting when I ordered. So it is important to note that I picked up my food a little late. I picked up my food and I could smell the onion rings. When I got home I couldn't wait to dive into my burger. First I tried the onion rings. They were very crisp. The batter didn't fall off the onion. A very important part of a good onion ring. Next up was the burger. Since I didn't get the burger when it was at its warmest the lettuce didn't taste as fresh. That is not Bay Town Burger's fault though. The burger was really good. Patty melt was adequate, but nothing special. Onion rings were way too overdone and the only flavor was the charred batter. Wife's burger was tasty, but small and the toppings (lettuce tomato etc) were not fresh. Dining room was filthy. I had to try Bay Town Burger! I love Mo'Bay Beignets so it was only right for me to dig into this burger joint. Parking is adequate but seating isn't plenty so if you go during lunch time make sure you get there early. The menu is small which I enjoy. Who wants to spend 5 minutes deciding what to order. I ordered the grand slam with all the fixings. My food was hot, delicious and definitely tasty. I ate every bite on my tray. Burgers and beignets were great. My kids had the grilled cheese and they loved it. I didn't really care that I had to pay .99 cents for a dipping sauce for the beignets. I believe they should come with one for free. There's not a kid's menu, so I had to ask and the grilled cheese is the only item they offered for kids. Everything else was good. Tv's to watch sports and sports themed atmosphere. They also have some outside seating. read more

Love the beignets so much that my husband and I decided to try the burgers. We both ordered the burger combo and beignet bites for dessert with the strawberry seasonal syrup. The beignets arrived first so had a few bites before our burgers arrived. Burgers were average with very fresh buns. The small American flags on the burgers were a nice addition. Fries could be skipped. Love the larger size beignets with the buttercream syrup. Glad we got to try the burger and fries, however, the beignets (regular size) with the buttercream syrup is my fav menu item! Hoping one day for a Mo'Bay Beignets on the Eastern Shore. Honestly, when this place first opened up I actually compared it to Ho-dads in San Diego. Burgers were cooked perfectly, well seasoned and with a good crust. If I had reviewed it after the first try, it would've more than likely been a five star review. I've been back at least 8 to 10 times since then, and it has progressively gone down hill over the past couple years. Tonight was our last shot at it. All three orders were wrong, burgers were bland and unevenly cooked. We were the customers in the place. Bathroom out of order and dingy, busted window and just overall worn down. Okay, the food is amazing. Seriously SO delicious, burgers are fresh and well-seasoned, fresh toppings, and yummy sauces. The fries were pretty good. Mo'Bay beignets are absolutely fluffy, light, and incredibly tasty. The issue with this place is the service. The ketchup wasn't stocked, simple things like no ice, no utensils, not even napkins were available (and it's not that they aren't usually out for customers to grab--the holders were just empty). There were a few teenagers running the joint and they couldn't be bothered to talk to anyone, pay attention to the state of the dining room, or refill anything. I went to the counter to ask for some condiments and mentioned that they were out in the dining room, and they did get me some packets, but didn't refill anything on the floor. Maybe they were actually out and couldn't restock them, who could know? This spot has SO much potential. You can't bang out delicious food like that and not have your sights set on greatness. However, we've been a few times and have had the same issues with service... it's nonexistent, really. If they paid a little more attention to the dining room and customers, they would be an easy 5 stars. read more

I finally made it out to Bay Town burger! Wanted to let the hype die down a bit and let them settle in. We're already HUGE fans of Mo'Bay Beignet and wanted to try out their sister store after hearing great things about their burgers. Went with the family on a Friday night around 5:30-6 and ordered a couple of Grand Slams (which is a burger combo) and an extra burger. These burgers were really tasty! I got the burger with the bay sauce on it and added onions. It was delicious! Had a friend tell me it was like a Big Mac sauce. So that's what I was expecting and the sauce was very tasty but not overpoweringly strong (or recognizable) like a Big Mac sauce. All I know is it was really great and I devoured it! The fries were awesome and had a sprinkling of some sort of Cajun seasoning on them. As always, or since Mo'Bay invented it, I'm a buttercream-sauce-with-my beignets-kinda-gal and of course I ended my meal with that. They were just as perfect as Mo'Bay's downtown! We will definitely be back and bring friends! Btw, they have outdoor seating! Still can't believe they have so many negative reviews! By the time we were finished eating it was packed out! (Maybe this pandemic has just made some people really bitter but I think gems like this place deserve all the praise they can get!) I wish I had skipped the fries and left room for the beignets. Chairs are uncomfortable. But I'll be back for the burgers and I want to try the beignets. I like the food here and come frequently, but this may be my last visit. I ordered two burger meals and it came out to $36+. This was not the price on the board and it was explained rather poorly that sometimes the prices don't match the board. Well, I likely wouldn't have ordered had I know that. I haven't done a review in awhile, because basically, not many bright spots these days. But this place surprised me. Stopped in on the way back from "meet the teacher" day on a whim. Nice little spot. The prices may seem a little high, but what isn't these days. It's still cheaper than 5 guys and much higher quality in my opinion. Everything was cooked to perfection. The fries and onion rings were phenomenal. Very clean, the staff was beyond friendly, and it was just a surprisingly enjoyable dinner experience. Unfortunately, it was empty on a monday night. One couple did come in while we were leaving, but I hope it's not another gem we lose in the bleak food landscape of West Mobile. Came in around 11...cashier had an attitude. Beignets and one coffee literally took 36 minutes to make. If u are the owner reading this...you really need to train your staff especially being that they look like not a day over 17. They don't have a variety of cheese, which felt odd for a burger place, however their default was fine. They also have a small selection of products if you were wondering. I waited over thirty minutes on my to go order just for them to tell me something was wrong with there beignets mix but the mix was ok for us the people who don't look like me after I ordered my food. Haven't been to Bay Town Burgers on Airport in a while. Today, my wife and were out in West Mobile on business and decided to make a quick stop in-between appointments for beignets. We sincerely hope that today was just a fluke. Last time we were there the beignets were perfectly cooked, nice, light and fluffy. Today they were the consistency of a cake donut and half were still doughy in the middle. We were pressed for time, so we ate what was edible and tossed the rest in the trash as we left. Let's just say that we will be hesitant to get beignets from there in the future. read more

My husband and I ordered burgers, fries, a drink, beignets and a cafe au lait. The cafe au lait was served out of a regular coffee carafe so I don't believe it was a café au lait. The burger was fine except for one thing, the cheese used on it. It tasted like processed cheese food. It would make a huge difference if a different cheese was used on the burgers. We love Mo-Bay's beignets and were excited to have them close by. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago. Every time we drive past Bay Town it's completely packed, and it was pretty busy when we went. Only outside tables were available. We did wait a good bit to get our food, beignets came out first which was fine. Service seemed to be a bit chaotic. My husband & I both agree their beignets rival NOLA's Cafe Du Monde's, and may even top them when you add in the sauce. So good! Have never been disappointed in their beignets. The burgers were very good, the patty seems homemade and I love the sauce. My husband got fries which I'm not sure were homemade, I might would skip those personally. I think the burger itself is definitely reasonably priced, but not sure the combo is worth it. I was also excited to have Mo-Bay coffee close by as I have really enjoyed their pecan praline coffee on their food trucks. I was a bit disappointed with the one I got here. Supposedly on their facebook they mention you can add syrup to your coffee (I think the beignet sauce?) but the server acted completely baffled when I asked (mentioned only classic syrup available) so I instead ordered a regular pecan praline coffee. It was good but I hate that bigger sizes aren't offered. They also brought me out a frappe at first, which I tasted and it was not very good. I'm not sure why the facebook page seems to offer special coffee drinks because whenever I've asked here and at the trailer the employees just seem confused. Maybe it's just the downtown location? It's a Monday night so it was pretty empty when we came in. There was a worker splayed out on the couch. The cashier was very sweet but many of the tables were visibly dirty, the floor near the drink station was littered with straw wrappers. Numerous tables are being stabilized with napkins, drink lids and such so overall it looks a bit messy. We got two combo meals for around $32. It did take a long time to get our food but it came out piping hot and the overall taste was pretty good. Watched a lot of people wait for to-go orders and some return after checking their food. It looks like, if it were being cleaned, it would be a cute little place. Didn't expect the baseball theme but it's consistent. But some of the younger workers seem fairly apathetic.
