Bubba's Texas Clubhouse Burger and Onion Rings
Jonathan R.

This is my second time having Bay Town Burger. My first time in believe I had a regular burger. I don't remember much at all about the burger. I can say it wasn't bad because I definitely would've remembered if it was. This time I chose the Bubba's Texas Clubhouse Burger and onion rings. I ordered online and was told that my meal would be ready in 15 minutes. That was good news but I was working from home and in the middle of a meeting when I ordered. So it is important to note that I picked up my food a little late. I picked up my food and I could smell the onion rings. When I got home I couldn't wait to dive into my burger. First I tried the onion rings. They were very crisp. The batter didn't fall off the onion. A very important part of a good onion ring. Next up was the burger. Since I didn't get the burger when it was at its warmest the lettuce didn't taste as fresh. That is not Bay Town Burger's fault though. The burger was really good. The patty was seasoned well and the toasted bread was a nice touch.

Fresh beignets

I love the beignets here. They are as close as you can get to the New Orleans style here in Mobile. They are always fluffy and hot. I have never been disappointed with an order. My one issue is that even when you pay cash, they charge you a credit card transaction fee. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for that.

Best burger I have had in a long time! The beignets weren't spectacular but were good!! The prices are extremely reasonable and the atmosphere is "sporty".. the service was super fast!

Grand slam

I had to try Bay Town Burger! I love Mo'Bay Beignets so it was only right for me to dig into this burger joint. Parking is adequate but seating isn't plenty so if you go during lunch time make sure you get there early. The menu is small which I enjoy. Who wants to spend 5 minutes deciding what to order. I ordered the grand slam with all the fixings. My food was hot, delicious and definitely tasty. I ate every bite on my tray. My only problem was It was so loud that I could barely hear them call names for the orders. I kept raising my hand for orders that were not mine.

Fried pickles and a cup of fryer grease!!!

Fried pickles are the absolute worst ever!! Disgusting and inedible!!! Burgers were OK , waste of money

Love the beignets so much that my husband and I decided to try the burgers. We both ordered the burger combo and beignet bites for dessert with the strawberry seasonal syrup. The beignets arrived first so had a few bites before our burgers arrived. Burgers were average with very fresh buns. The small American flags on the burgers were a nice addition. Fries could be skipped. Love the larger size beignets with the buttercream syrup. Glad we got to try the burger and fries, however, the beignets (regular size) with the buttercream syrup is my fav menu item! Hoping one day for a Mo'Bay Beignets on the Eastern Shore. Thankful for the occasional food trucks across the bay!!

Burgers and beignets were great. My kids had the grilled cheese and they loved it. I didn't really care that I had to pay .99 cents for a dipping sauce for the beignets. I believe they should come with one for free. There's not a kid's menu, so I had to ask and the grilled cheese is the only item they offered for kids. Everything else was good. Tv's to watch sports and sports themed atmosphere. They also have some outside seating.

Average food. Friendly service but it's a bit slow. They weren't crowded and it still took 20 minutes to get a burger.

Overpriced small burgers. Burnt fries. 40 minute wait. My burger was half burnt. I'll stick to Five Guys or Mugshots.

My daughter and I had breakfast here today and I can't express enough how much I enjoy their menu…read more She had never been to the Redbar before, and had also never had a crumpet. So it was doubly pleasing to be able to introduce her to this pleasing restaurant with its eclectic cuisine. The breakfast menu is what usually draws my attention. Served anytime, not just normal breakfast hours, a customer can choose between crumpets, omelettes, french toast, or just the usual bacon and eggs. I usually order one of their crumpets, but today, chose their Loaded Omelette with cheese grits. More like a purée, the grits were superb, creamy and buttery. My omelette was delivered spicy and hot. Giving my daughter a taste we soon concluded that the sausage used reminded us of the blood sausage we have enjoyed for breakfast in Peru, when we travel there to visit my wife's family. This is certainly not a typical omelette for Mobile, Alabama. My only complaint about it is that it was slightly overcooked and dry. Nevertheless, it was very tasty. My daughter had the Fried Egg and Cheese Crumpet, that she reported to be delicious. A mix-up on my drink order brought me a Turkish coffee rather than a Turkish latte, and suspiciously weak to be considered Turkish. I suspect that the cashier heard "Turkish", but not "latte", and confused, may have decided to see if a regular Americano would pass as an acceptable substitute. Except for the jolt I was expecting to receive, from the latte I ordered, it was acceptable. I am eager to return again to try one of their "Build Your Own Smashburger." Until then I will continue to hold the opinion that I have yet to have a disappointing meal at the RedBar, and I rest assured that my meal on that day will be equally satisfying.

I have stopped here for lunch or dinner 3 times recently as the food is amazing and the staff…read moregreat. if you are looking for a smaller portion check this place out. I have tried the stuffed mushroom, Shepards pie and a burger and all were fantastic. For a side I had the sweet potato casserole and it was ok, not my favorite as I found the potatoes to be slightly undercooked for my liking. Other than that every thing was amazing. The stuffed mushroom with balsamic reduction probably my favorite. Prices are really good too. The dining tables are old window with mason jars to drink from adding to the uniqueness. Will be back really soon.

To be honest, it doesn't seem like a normal dessert cafe. After experiencing the world class desserts and staff. I was surprised to know all the desserts are made fresh daily. As to many places import them in. The signature gelato is the saffron flavor. Very tasty. They said it was their signature and first flavor they made. If you do not know, Ice cream is airier than gelato and has a higher fat content while gelato is softer and packed with flavor. Both contain a lot of sugar, but gelato is traditionally made with less fat. My understanding, ice cream is made with cream and gelato is made from milk. They just do not just offer wonderful gelato. They do Turkish delight, baklava, Macarons, and etc. all made fresh daily. I did not try them all, only had the Turkish delight, saffron gelato, hot jasmine tea, and the coffee Affogato. The coffee Affogato is great flavor but not overwhelming enough to put you off the taste of coffee. But you definitely taste the coffee flavor. More like a coffee with cream and sugar taste. I took pictures of the gelatos but decided not to because i did not take a picture of right away. It kinda melted. So I did not post them. The tea has a strong jasmine tea flavor and the Turkish delight is very soft and very sweet and chewy. I sampled the chocolate Affogato. If you are big into dark chocolate. I definitely recommend this. It is very delicious! Just too rich and delicious my palate. They have some wonderful seating outside and inside. They do offer free Wi-Fi and some board games if available. The seating area is comfortable and good spot to relax and unwind. Especially if you just want something sweet and quiet place to get away. Definitely recommend this place if you are in the area! If not, make a day trip out of it. I do not know if they have any other places in the Mobile area. But the nearest place west is in New Orleans. I heard that they might have a spot in Pensacola? But do not hold me to it. You will not be disappointed! In my opinion.
