Had time to kill waiting on appointments so we tried the breakfast. Bright and open, smelling of breakfast and espresso. House Special Bloody Mary was tasty with a slight bite, fully garnished and delicious. My wife had the hot chocolate and really enjoyed it. She had the waffles w/bacon, adding soft scrambled eggs with cheese. She enjoyed it only commenting on sometime sweet and crunchy in the waffles that along with syrup was overly sweet. I ate the breakfast bowl, which was very filling with an over abundance of fried potatoes. I added conecuh sausage, mushrooms, onions, garlic cheddar sauce and smoked Gouda. Full of flavor and I shared half the potatoes with my wife. Our server was very nice and made sure we have everything we needed. We were in Mobile for the day and decided to try Bubbles & Brunch. We rely on Yelp to choose where to eat. Today, Yelp led us here. The reviews were awesome for this place. When we arrived and walked in we were greeted immediately and seated. Heather S was awesome. She knew the menu and made suggestions ( I love this). We ordered and wow it was fast. The food was delicious. The waffles were too sweet. I did not know there was a thin layer of crystalized sugar on them and it made it way too sweet but my eggs were perfect. Both of our plates were served with cold food. Items were missing and we had to wait for them to show up. We complained about the taste of the Dr Pepper being off, so they took it and never brought a replacement. The waitress was sweet, but didn't come around enough. Two items that need addressing. Music that was playing in the restaurant was not appropriate for this restaurant. It would have been fine for a hip-hop bar, but not a family restaurant. Young kids were present and subjected to profanity and vulgar lyrics. The table next to us left before we got our food. Their table was still not cleaned when we left, at least 30-45 minutes after they had departed. The restaurant was not busy. Our server took great care of us. She saw the mess on the table next to us, it never made an effort to clean the table. This was disappointing. I'd like to give it a 5, as the food was very good. I had the Shrimp and grits with Texas garlic toast and an Arnold Palmer. The grits and shrimp were well-seasoned; they contained different peppers that added a sweet and spicy flavor. I had a large, thick portion, and it was terrific. My son had chicken and waffles, and my daughter had the BLT with waffle fries; they both enjoyed their dishes. My daughter said that her bread was toasted with butter, and the bacon was very crispy, and there was a lot of it. She enjoy her fries as well. My Son and I had to go to containers, but my daughter's BLT was out of sight. Ummh Good! The service we received from Gaynell was very friendly, professional, and courteous. She frequently visits our table to see if we need anything else. She brought me more tea, my daughter coffee, and my son his sweet tea with us, even asking. I enjoyed my time there and will definitely come back again. I believe that even the manager came over, asked us if we needed anything, and asked if we were enjoying our food with a beautiful smile. read more

Finally, a restaurant in Mobile that seasons their food! My wife and I went to try it for the first time this morning. I got eggs benedict, and she got the bananas foster french toast. We fell in LOVE with some of the new items, the Grilled Shrimp "Southern Brunch Alfredo" was BEAUTIFUL and we preferred the blueberry stuffed French toast to the old stuffed french sliders, and ate that just about as soon as it hit the table! Similar menu, with a few changes overall. Our server Gaynell was amazing and answered all our questions about the menu and the new branding, all I can say is I hope they put a new sign up so more people can see. Quick service, amazing food, happy, fresh staff who are all seeming very excited about the new business! A busy atmosphere but not anymore than you'd expect for a Saturday morning. We dined here for brunch last Sunday and could not have been happier with our experience. The food was DELICIOUS- I didn't touch a salt or pepper shaker on the table which I tend to do when I dine out fairly regularly. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxed and casual. Let me start by saying the food is fantastic. A little greasy but nothing not worth eating. However the service is horrible. We expected a wait on a Sunday for brunch but we waited over an hour and watched as people that came before us went in, ate, & left. When we finally got seated we waited 15 minutes to even be greeted & have our drink order taken. Another 15 minutes for drinks to come. We tried to order more mimosas but they ran out of champagne which is ironic when bubbles is in the name. Lastly, after we were finally brought the checks, our waitress disappeared and we waited 20 minutes for her to return to run our cards. The place was only half full the entire time we were there and considering a half full restaurant with 5 waitresses, I would expect to see better service. All in all, we were there 4 hours for overpriced food & horrible service. read more
