a menu for a restaurant with a note attached to it - The image shows a dinner menu from Sage Restaurant & Bar, with sections for starters and entrees. Starters include loaded fries, Mardi Gras shrimp, spinach dip, nachos, and gator bites. Entrees feature steak, chicken, shrimp & grits, pasta, The Marriott Burger, and wings. A pink sticky note with handwritten text saying, "Thank you, Ms. Lyn, please call again!" is attached to the menu. The menu has a simple design with a decorative leaf element at the bottom.

Craig is the absolute best! The Marriott is under a full renovation and so far it is quite impeccable to say the least!

It's always nice to find a good restaurant in a hotel. This place has good food, good prices, and nice people. Whether you are staying at the hotel or you are looking for a date spot, this would be a place to go. The down fall was the quickness of the service. There was a larger party that was pulling a lot of there attention, but the food took awhile and the amount of times the server came around was lacking. I had to get up and ask for ketchup from the bar.

To date, I haven't ever been to a restaurant in a hotel that has disappointed. Sage Restaurant is located at the Mobile Marriott Hotel in Mobile Alabama near the airport. My husband and I decided to eat dinner here after checking in. It is conveniently located on the first floor at the back of the hotel near check-in. There wasn't anyone else eating here for dinner, but that was o.k. We ordered the Cobb salad with shrimp and chicken to share and an Angus burger with sweet potato fries. The Cobb salad was delicious. The burger was just o.k. I've had better. Service was excellent! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because there was a fly roaming around the restaurant that was very annoying. Other than that, If we stay at this hotel again we will definitely return.

Have you ever found, during your travels, a special little place frequented by locals that evokes…read morethe strains of "where everyone knows your name"? Well, Maghees is just such a place. I come to Mobile about every other month and stay in the Springhill area. I found Maghee's by accident through yelp several months ago and I've been back a few times. This is the kind of place that, when you take a friend, you have to tell them That this is a book you don't judge by the cover. The menu is small, but covers a lot of ground nonetheless. In addition, there are usually specials. I highly recommend that you come in without a reservation and sit at the bar and talk to the people around you. I have never been disappointed. I think twice about leaving this review because I desperately don't want this place to be too busy for me to enjoy on my next visit. Say hello to Sandy behind the bar. Feel free to ask her questions as she is quite knowledgeable and is a sommelier to boot. Her husband, Jordan, Works there too, but comes in on his nights off to help her when the place is busy. In the kitchen, Cookie, is somewhat new to the business, but has learned quickly and is going to be a tremendous chef as his knowledge increases. On our visit, the special was a piccata dish that he executed to perfection. Again, visit, be nice, and enjoy yourself. But don't take my seat.

You ever walk into a place and immediately think, "Yep... this is either going to be amazing or I'm…read moreabout to make a terrible decision"? Welcome to Judy's Place. Because this spot is not pretending to be anything. This is full-on, unapologetic dive. And I mean that in the best possible way. You walk in and it's like the '70s, '80s, and a little bit of someone's '90s basement bar all got together and said, "Let's not change a thing." Old banquet-style tables, a bar top that feels like it's hosted a thousand stories, and walls that have clearly seen some things. I loved it immediately. Now let's talk food. The folks next to me were deep into the chicken and dumplings and talking about it like it was a life event. You know that kind of table chatter where you start reconsidering your order mid-bite? Yeah, that. I went shrimp po' boy... and no regrets. Shrimp fried just right. Crispy, flavorful, doing exactly what it's supposed to do. Solid sandwich. The fries... eh, they showed up a little tired. Not terrible, just kind of there. A little cold, a little soggy, like they'd already had a long day. But here's the twist. You don't come to Judy's for perfection. You come for personality. For the feeling that you just discovered a place that doesn't care about trends, doesn't need a remodel, and definitely isn't chasing Instagram. It just is what it is... and somehow that works. Fold this into your expectations. If you need polished, keep driving. If you want real, pull up a chair. It's fun. It's different. It's got character for days. Four stars. And honestly, half the star is just for staying exactly the same all these years.

We ordered the gumbo to start, she had the chicken salad plate and I had the black and blue burger with fries. Everything was tasty and we left very full. We will be back.
