DJ's is our hometown restaurant! Quick, delicious food. My favorite is their BBQ sandwich! Great milkshakes too!

Trip down to the Lighthouse, always a nice drive and a relaxed atmosphere. Ordered the seafood…read moreplate oysters, shrimp, and crab claws. These are the fattest, meatiest claws around. Food was as expected, a notch above the typical fried seafood, fresh and cooked to perfection. Salad and baked potato sides were, well salad and baked potato. Nothing outstanding but no negatives at all. Service was spot on, timely and friendly. Did notice only one refill for tea mentioned on menu, I didn't test that but would have been a little bent if I was charged for excessive refills on tea. It's not much to provide an extra glass particularly when it is priced as the highest profit item on the menu. All in all a nice dinner with the Mrs and leftovers for lunch.

Our meal featured an excellent selection of fried seafood, including plump fried shrimp, flavorful fried oysters, and succulent fried crab claws, all accompanied by a perfectly baked potato and fresh green beans. Every item was prepared to the highest standards--crispy, well-seasoned, and served at the ideal temperature, delivering outstanding taste and quality throughout. The portions were generous, and the overall presentation, as shown in the attached photographs, highlighted the freshness and appeal of the dishes. We were equally pleased with the attentive and friendly service, which contributed to a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend The Lighthouse Restaurant to anyone seeking authentic, fresh Gulf of America seafood in a warm and welcoming setting. We will certainly return on our next visit.

No bad review Main course short ribs frites W/ au poivre EXCELLENT !!! Only regret no green peppercorns in the sauce (maybe due to farm to table requirements) Great food. Best lunch in Mobile as of today ! Service was good. However one of our entrees served 5 minutes after everyone else. Definitely recommend this place. One more thing: The pomes frites ABSOLUTELY THE BEST FRIES I HAVE EVER EATEN: BELGIUM HAS NOTHING ON THESE FRIES. I am 75 years old and been all over Europe. This is the birthplace of American Fries. THIS PLACE DESERVES TABLECLOTHS BTW: wood table sticky and did not feel clean due to finish on the table.

The sweet tea is the best we've ever had. The pickled shrimp is a classic 'Bama recipe. The Waygu double cheese burger will haunt my dreams with its juicy goodness. The steak & frites were very good. Tender with a sauce that was lush on the tongue. We were too full for dessert, but the blueberry cobbler looked amazing. Reservations are recommended, but they'll welcome you in like family either way. Vintage building adds so much character to this charming restaurant.
