Ya'll this is the best Muffulatta and Ruben we ever had! Time to sleep! The meat is high quality and the portions are huge. It's a no frills kind of place but that makes the experience even better. Take my advice- just get the quarter Muffulatta- that's all you need. Unless your really hungry your taking the other half home with you. This is a great place to share a meal- trust me. I really don't want to write this review because i don't want yall to know how good this place is. It's your very own personal Whistle Stop Cafe kind of place! The food never disappoints, so good. All of it. Now because it's small you must plan. Be there at 10 till 11:00 or you will be in a line, worth it, but be prepared. Or come at 1:00. I found this place while traveling through Mobile. When we pulled off the exit and began following the GPS instructions, we were not sure we were in the right place. It is in the middle of an industrial area (which is genius by the way!) but had us 2nd guessing. The we rounded the corner and you can't miss it. We went on a holiday about 30 minutes before they closed and missed all the crowds. As we looked over the menu Regina's husband offered a few suggestions, and I have to say, he didn't steer us wrong! We had a grilled cheese, tuna melt (special), and the chicken salad blt on toasted sourdough because in his words "the toasted sourdough is just a better vehicle for the chicken salad" . I also had fresh fruit as a side, and even in January it was delicious! I'm positive this will be a stop on our next trip through. read more

Yum! Regina's is a solid lunch option! As a Mobilian transplant, Regina's was all the rage for lunch hype, and I'm pleased to report that I can agree! I wasn't too enthused with my side (a beans and rice deal-meh) as much, but I truly enjoyed the turkey sandwich special. Flavors were on point! Fantastic, quaint diner! Great food, portions, prices and quick service. Casual, friendly atmosphere with an eclectic collection of photos, mementos and memorabilia on the walls to catch the eye. The Loop (chicken salad on croissant with bacon!) was fabulous- so was the tuna salad. Our busboy, Johnathan stopped by to check on us and even introduced himself. Wonderful place for lunch with a casual ambiance! I have eaten here several times but today got a to go order. I enjoyed the Maryann sandwich served on toasted sourdough and a side of slaw. Two thumbs up! Next time I may try some soup and maybe a delicious dessert. read more

Been coming here for awhile. More often than not the ladies behind the counter are not polite, actually they are down right rude; all but the guy they have working for them, he is awesome. He's always speaks, is friendly and very kind. Today while eating one of the ladies came out and reprimanded him while he was eating lunch. My party of three were the only ones in the building, I don't feel it was appropriate to have that conversation while we were there. The food is great and clearly they only focus on the taste and not customer service. If you can eat anywhere else, I recommend going there. Mobile has too many awesome locally owned places with great food and customer service. read more

Regina's Kitchen is a little sandwich and salad joint located in Midtown near the Loop. This place has a private parking lot, however during lunch hours it gets pretty crowded. The sandwiches and salads are made fresh to order and they are generally open during the week only and during lunch hours only. According to the hours posted they are sometimes open on weekends during the fall. When you walk in, grab a menu and begin perusing as you wait in line to order. Once you have decided what you want, it may be necessary for someone in your party to begin table hunting. They have a couple of tables outside and some in the back but it can take a moment to find one if you have a larger party. A note, this is not the place to post up and work for a couple hours, in fact they have a policy expressly forbidding that practice. My go to here is the Tom Turkey sandwich on sour dough bread. The loop sandwich and fresh fruit are always good go to options as well. The sweet tea is to die for or regular coke products are available for order! All in all, I am a huge fan of Regina's and hope to continue dining there many times in the future! read more

This place is a hidden gem. The ladies here were so pleasant and accommodating. I was in Mobile for a week, and I got lunch here almost everyday. The Cuban and Ruben are 10/10. The answer is YES ABSOLUTELY you are in the right spot and you definitely want to go a bit out of the way and eat here. The owner and waitress were both so nice. The shop was so cute and clean. Check out the bathroom to test cleanliness at any place and you will be impressed. So clean and complete with the unmentionable Poo Pourie!! We got there 15 minutes before closing and they were out of a lot of items which shows how popular they are!! They were wonderful and helped us get creative. The favorite was the Schoel which as my daughter said was the best sandwich she has ever had. We had the Cecilia sub turkey for ham and it was awesome. Lots of cheese and toasted to perfection. So in an attempt to give you something fresh here, I'll give you a list of things NOT to do: -Do not be surprised when you begin to wonder if your Uber driver is a creeper and taking you into his/her backwoods torture palace. This place is not in the city center and will take a while to get to. -Do not be dissuaded by the line. It moves quickly and is a sign of good things to come. -Do not tip. This one was strange, but there's not a tip jar and there's no room on the credit card slip to add one in. The guy behind the counter said his tip would be our enjoyment. Love. -Do not be afraid to go off menu. Want to trade bacon for turkey? You be you. -Do not expect to finish the entire thing. It's so amazing and you'll want to keep eating well after you're full, but trust your 4pm uncomfortable self and stop eating while it's still enjoyable. -And finally, do NOT miss Regina's Kitchen during your stay in Mobile. I've been here a few times and I've got to say this is one of my favorite lunch spots. My go to is their Tom Turkey. It's piled high with plenty of turkey, and comes with honey mustard that is neither too sweet nor too mustardy. I wish they were open longer so I could come more often. I've had a few of their soups and they're great as well. Definitely, definitely give them try.
