There is outdoor seating As well as indoor seating for guests including tables, booths, and a bar top. Wait Time: Can call to get reservations as the restaurant can get busy but wait times are not that long for lunch. Service: The service was well done with the waitress being attentive and friendly while not being overbearing. Food: Can be hit or miss with some inconsistency in the shrimp and grits ordered between same day orders and different day orders. The food has both healthy options for those on a diet and more hearty foods for those who want southern comfort food.

We managed to sneak one remaining space out of the parking lot next-door, but you can tell that parking is a premium if you want to eat here. When they seated us, they warned us that the room was "loud", having to do with a large party that had been seated in there before us. I think the acoustics don't help, but even so it really wasn't bad. We enjoyed our meals, and my fiancé especially enjoyed the green salad, saying it was one of the best salads he ever had. I had the fried shrimp dinner and the cocktail sauce is certainly spicy! I substituted in mac & cheese for one of my sides, and I was a little bit disappointed. To be honest, I am not a big creole fan, and I think they were trying to give the mac & cheese that type of a twist, which is why it did not appeal to me. But it did come out piping hot! We were stuffed after our meals, but the pecan brownie dessert sounded so good we asked for one to go. We didn't realize it came with ice cream, but they packaged each element of the dessert separately for us to take home. To be honest, the ice cream was amazing, and the sauce to put on the brownie was amazing, but the brownie itself left a lot to be desired. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner, and we were grateful to sit inside, since outside was very warm that day.

This is the ONLY spot out of the legion I've been to in Alabama that actually serves what folks from Louisiana would call gumbo and I was so happy to finally be able to enjoy a good actual gumbo instead of the icky Alabama soup all the other places serve. The ambiance here is really fantastic and they have a beautiful bar here as well. They make some of the best burgers I've ever had and I've had a LOT of great burgers along with way too many blah one. They have an amazing selection of beautiful desserts that make it VERY hard to choose which one you need to order. I've eaten at a LOT of spots in Lower Alabama and so far this one is at the top of the list.

The piña colada was delicious, and they brought me a blueberry crème brûlée for my birthday that was amazing. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals, and everything was beautifully presented. The only downside was the host. He came across as extremely rude and impatient, which was not a great first impression. Thankfully, the rest of the experience was much better. Overall, the food was excellent, and I'd eat there again. Just hoping for a friendlier welcome next time.

They also have a nice selection of desserts, and an out side area in front. I decided to go to Sandra's Place for a Reuben Sandwich. I had heard amazing things. Ordered at the counter, the lady was super nice. I ordered my Reuben to go and substituted a salad for chips. Also, a wedge of Coconut Crème Poe. I have to say, I was disappointed in the Reuben....the best thing that I ate was the Side Salad with Ranch. It was delicious. The pie was okay, as was the Reuben, but for $30 for a sandwich, a side salad and pie, it just wasn't worth it. I probably should have ordered the Egg Salad. Supposed to be amazing.. I may go back, but it took me 6 years to go for the first time so..... Can't recommend until I have the Egg Salad, I suppose.

The employees were friendly and the menu was simple and small. We ordered the Greek salad with chicken salad and the trio salad (chicken salad, fruit salad, pasta salad). I would give 4 stars for the patio and quaint vibe but the food was about a 3. I was hoping the food would be much healthier than it was. Both the Greek salad and trio salads were swimming in dressing, including the fruit salad. Next time, I would probably just come here for dessert. The homemade desserts look fantastic.
