I can't say enough about Boom's Thai Kitchen. Absolutely incredible tasting food. I really enjoyed the Red Curry with chicken. It was some of the best I've had. I'm not from the area but anytime I am near here I will go out of my way to stop by and grab a bite. The prices are absolutely fantastic for the amount of food you get. I was lucky enough to catch her at a slow time and she stayed at the counter and spoke with me to keep me company while I ate. Boom is super nice and a fantastic cook! Do yourself a favor and go experience this fantastic quaint spot. I can't wait to return to try her fresh made Thai noodles in her pad thai. read more

Woman owned restaurant. Located at the Spanish Fort container dining area. No indoor seating. Same shopping development as Bass Pro Shop. Had the Pad Thai and it was great. I'd like to share a little information with ya. Probably if you bothered to read this then you were interested in Thai food. We've tried several Thai restaurants in LA or Lower Alabama. Mixed results is our findings. Just today here surfing I blundered onto this place. A Thai restaurant in Spanish Fort! Where? The Fort! Ah! That shopping center where Bass Pro Shop is the anchor store, they have a small park-like area with some Container type buildings, a food court, all stand-up ordering and outside tables, covered, and uncovered. Read the write-ups, hey, let's check this place out. We headed over for lunch, called, hours posted are 11 am to 7 pm, but reading Lee's frustration in his write up by not finding it open, I made sure. Arriving. We chatted with the lady, she's Thai, we mentioned another place next village, she used to cook there, I said, the food is OK, but didn't seem like authentic Thai, she said, he's Somalian. I laughed, that's what my wife said, he's too big to be Thai. So we had a delightful lunch, ample portions, we could've split a meal. My wife had a chicken coconut milk based soup, lightly spiced, the crispy chicken she, the lady, recommended, I wanted it hot, but not Thai hot. She gets it. Thai restaurants don't usually crank up the heat here in America, our palate isn't used to it. She'll do what you ask. She uses authentic Thai spices, and peppers, uses fresh produce and meats, cooks to order. A pleasant surprise. Who knew? Right here in little Spanish Fort. So if you want some good food, authentic, this is your place. You gonna be served in styrofoam, paper napkins, and plastic ware. No candlelight, nor ambiance. We noticed some order and take-away going on, a thought for another time. I enjoyed a Thai tea. Very tasty. I have some leftover crispy chicken, sweet peppers, onions, carrots, and cashews, sauce, and rice for a nice snack. I assisted my spouse knocking out her soup, too dangerous to transport in our nice car. If you like authentic Thai food, tell her I sent you, she'll take good of you. Enjoy! read more

Found this place online while driving through I-10 west and found that it's in a food truck park, didn't expect that. We had chicken fried rice and chicken pad Thai. Both dishes were delicious. The guy I spoke to on the phone was kind enough to let me know they didn't have bean sprouts before I placed the order but it still tasted yummy. The guy was very friendly. Highly recommend if you're traveling in the area. read more

Excellent! Authentic Thai food that's fresh and flavorful. I've tried every other Thai restaurant in lower Alabama and rather than being disappointed like I have been at all the others, I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The owner who is actually Thai was really friendly and you can see she truly cares about her customers being satisfied. Everything was clean and well managed. This is the best Thai food in Lower Alabama. Hands down. I've been on the hunt for the best Pad Thai in near Mobile for a while, and this blew it out of the park. The chef makes all her food from fresh, never frozen ingredients (this is what I was told at the counter at least). Also, I had the crunchy chicken and it was even better than the Pad Thai.
