I always get the gizzards (wish they came with cream gravy) because they're the only place I ever see them on the menu (53 restaurants in Baldwin County , so far). We knew we were on to a good thing in the parking lot! Colorful and quirky with a backwoods feel! We wanted a simple burger dinner ~ so we followed Yelp to Bill-E's. We both ordered the Old 27 ~ a burger with comeback sauce, lettuce, tomato and caramelized onions. Our server (thanks, Melody!) brought ketchup and mustard, but the burger was perfection as served ~ no additional dressing up required! Fries were simple, tasty and served hot. Altogether a delightful dinner in a fun place. We loved the music, too!! Outdoor or indoor seating, varied menu, kid friendly. We loved it! The outdoors with the Spanish Moss bedecked trees is never far away ~ and we did spot an intrepid short-lived roach (waitstaff shoes are QUICK!!) which in the end does yank a star away ~ but if you're hungry for a little something and you have a car full of family ~ you can feed them all here and probably have a story or two to tell later! read more

First time visiting on 4/24/26. Excited to try it. Arrived at 6:20 and was seated. We gave our order of 2 burgers. Nothing out of the ordinary. The waitress said they were backed up in the kitchen and would be putting our order in in 15 minutes. We said that was fine. We waited and enjoyed the atmosphere. 55 minutes later, we flagged down the waitress and asked how much longer for our food? Since it was almost an hour at this point. She apparently did not put our order in yet. She told us there were 6 other orders ahead of us. The place was not overly crowded. Several empty seats in every area. She had no idea how long it would be to get our food. I would not recommend going to this restaurant if you are hungry and want to get a burger in a timely manner. Driving back to Florida through Alabama and stop into Bill-E's, Restaurant and bar. Large outdoor seating small but cozy bar area with a few Hugh screen TV's We ordered a few beers on tap that were brewed on location and very tasty. For dinner we ordered half dozen wings cook with a sweet chile sauce that really gave the wings a kick then ordered a burger with cheese and home made famous bacon which we shared. I'm not a burger lover but the bacon really turned it up a notch. Served with seasoned fries but felt the portion was small. We arrived around 5:00 not too crowded, however when we left around 6:30 ish the restaurant was packed inside and outside. The service was spot on. Ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger and was pleasantly surprised on the size and quality. Asked for medium and it was perfect! The bacon was unbelievably good but then I guess BILL-E's is well known for its bacon.The tomato, lettuce, grilled onion made this "pop". The fries were actually worth mention as well. A nice variety of seating - outdoor, under roof and at the bar suits most peoples taste. Service was excellent and the time between ordering was surprisingly quick. Wonderful atmosphere and the waitress was friendly and efficient! The Bushwacher was amazing but make sure you don't share... you will want more! Truth is... I really couldn't drink a full one. Friendly service. Very welcoming atmosphere. There's a few games to play and tvs to watch. They had live music which was nice. We've ate here a few times and we've never really been disappointed or blown away. Hands down best burger in Alabama. We came down from Boston to visit family and came here for an impromptu dinner. The boiled peanuts were delicious, the burgers were juicy, thick cut of beef and well worth the price. The chicken wings were crispy and perfectly cooked!! The food is always great here. I am a local, so when I say a place is one of my favs, then it means I know I can go there on a busy or slow day and the food is as expected or better. The service is always great. Some of the nicest folks I know in food service work at Bill-E's. They have a bar area and open space outside and they pull off being family friendly and laid back Jimmy Buffett style all at the same time. I recommend the Bill-E's Blended Burger add Bill-E's Bacon. Yum. Personally, I am that simple. My wife loves the Old Texas. I mean, you can't go wrong with their burgers. The fries are that nicely fried not over not under cooked style. The Salads are great. The appetizers are awesome. The kids always like the friend pickle spears. One last thing. I am a sucker for a bun that is slightly toasted and the bread being fresh. They always do it right. However, for adults, I'd really only go for beers. This was my first visit but I was left unimpressed by the adult menu. Perhaps on another visit I would just order from the Kids menu? The Pork Belly Bites Trio felt like it was missing something and wasn't giving the flavors I was hoping for. The Waygu Burger looked amazing but upon attempting to eat it, the bun was soaked through with (I imagine) grease, so you couldn't eat it with your hands. I was not enjoying the flavor and opted to just really eat the fries (which were great). The kids enjoyed their meals & we enjoyed their side items, and my dog DEVOURED his meal! Loved the experience here! It has great outside covered seating with picnic style tables that have string lights. There is an inside dinning area as well as a bar. Our waitress was delightful and very helpful. The food was fast and the service was great. I wish I got a pic of the bacon cheeseburger I ordered and fries but it was all delicious. We arrived around 10:45 am to beat the lunch crowd. We were greeted by a server who asked us inside or outside and we chose inside as this is now 90 degree weather and the inside temperature did not disappoint. Our server came to our table and received our drink order and was more than happy to explain how to use our BOGO coupon. While we were waiting two gentlemen arrived with a gift card and she was very happy to assist with the balance on the card before they even ordered. I can say her service was top notch. I love the feel of this small restaurant. Everyone was very sweet and attentive. We sat at the bar and our bartender Stacy was the best! I ordered the cheeseburger with bacon and hubs ordered a fish sandwich. We started with a bacon appetizer, just 2 slices. The bacon is made in house and it was delicious! My cheeseburger had to be sent back because it was overcooked and too seasoned. When I got it back it was still overcooked but it tasted better. The fish sandwich was to my hubs liking, I tasted it but it wasn't that good to me, they funk it up with their sauce which is made with horseradish. I only ate half but I took my other half home. What a difference a year makes. We couldn't have been more disappointed. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated. Our server, Ansley, was about as sweet as can be. After about 20 minutes we waved her down to put our order in and then we waited...and waited...and waited. It was over an hour from the time we were seated to when our food arrived. People came and went in the time we were waiting for our food. In the year since we last visited, the quality was noticeably diminished. The bacon was such a disappointment. I ordered the pork belly trio which was just six tough bites of pork belly. My buddy ordered the Bill-Es bacon taster and it was just two strips of overcooked bacon. I wouldn't even consider it thick cut. So sad. The bacon cheeseburger was decent. My wife ordered the grilled wedge salad which had ranch dressing instead of blue cheese dressing. A traditional wedge has blue cheese, or should at least have the option for blue cheese. The kids Mac n cheese was a hit and I enjoyed the grilled pineapple. The kids kids also loved all the room for them to run around. While I very much appreciated the military discount, the quality isn't there right now. You can blame understaffing for slow service, but the poor food quality will keep people away. read more

I stopped by while I was on my way to Pensacola Florida. It look like a little hole in the wall online and I thought it was going to be a barbecue joint. I got there after dusk and it looked like something from the HBO show true blood. Talk about an incredibly warm and inviting atmosphere. It was fantastic. I met the manager and he explained to me how they select their beef and how they cure their own bacon. To make a long story short they served one of the best hamburgers I've ever had in my life. And I'm 63 years old and I've eaten a lot of hamburgers. I have the waist line to prove it. I'm very happy I found this place and next time I'm headed west on interstate 10 I will definitely be back. read more

My first impression of Bill-E's was seeing the majority of the serving and cooking staff maskless in the middle of the biggest spike in COVID cases in Alabama immediately following the holidays. Not great. We were getting our food to go anyway, but that alone almost made us turn around. I was there for a hot dog and my mom just wanted a salad. She asked if the gentleman at the register if they had any non mayo-based dressings for their salads and listed examples. He said no but they had Comeback sauce. She then tried to confirm that comeback sauce had mayo in it and the server went to ask the kitchen before we waved him off, assuring him that comeback had mayo. Thankfully, he let her get a kid's meal. I ordered a hot dog and asked if I could get a chili cheese dog with comeback sauce. He confirmed a chili cheese dog and I added, again, with comeback sauce. We got onion rings, chips, and the bacon appetizer. The food was ready relatively quick and we headed back to the hotel to eat. The kid's dog came plain (no offer was made to add ketchup or mustard). The chili cheese dog with comeback sauce didn't have comeback sauce. However the saving grace was that the hot dogs themselves were very good. Thick and flavorful franks. The onion rings were good. The chips were awful. Some of the other menu items look tempting, but I likely wouldn't return to Bill-E's. read more

I had never met Bill before the night of our rehearsal/welcome dinner held at Little Point Clear - since I was coming from Austin, it made me a little nervous. But he had been easy to talk to over the phone for planning and had a great reputation. I kept hearing from people at the venue and other vendors how much I would like him. I could not have been happier with the food and service that night.
