Any restaurant can have an error or even a few, on any given week. After all, no one is perfect every day. However, this place does no warrant a 2.7 stars. IMHO it is a 3.9 to 4.4 star restaurant. The place is very clean, organized, kiosk or walk up order counter, a parking lot with many spaces, friendly interactions with the person who took my order and the expeditor, yes they do charge for using a credit card, so does everyone in Mobile. We got our food in under 10 minutes, the salad she ordered and the italian sandwich I ordered were tasty, fresh, and plentiful for a lunch portion. When we left, it still appeared food was being delivered quickly, including delivery services. By the way, if you do not have the time or are just too lazy to go and get your own food, that is too many peoples hands in the service portion to place ALL the blame, maybe cut panera bread some slack in this case. There are simply not enough reviews in Mobile for a restaurant to recover from a 1 star, one time visit rant, on a take out / delivery order. Me, I always try to give a restaurant 2, if not 3 chances, but, we eat out 3 to 4 times per week. I only have one exception to this practice and if you read my review, it was warranted. Nothing I read in these reviews compares. PRO TIP: Having a bad day already? Dont write the review today, be objective and fair, it is their livelihoods. read more

I love ordering from Panera when I'm at the office, and usually have zero issue. This delivery order was sadly not up to par. I ordered for myself and 3 coworkers, but only 2 of 4 orders were received when it was marked delivered. Apparently, the store forgot to pack it all in one bag, and told the driver they did. The driver was very communicative, explained the error on the store's part, and even went back to pick up the remaining orders. However, their lunchtime was over upon correcting the delivery issue. Panera did credit the entire missing order, so I was made whole to try again another day. Cheers! read more

I typically enjoy my panera experience but will not be returning to this specific location. My boyfriend ordered a fountain drink (which is 3$) and wanted Mountain Dew which was out in the fountain. He notified a team member who said they would refill it, but 30 minutes passed, he checked before we left and it was still not fixed. I ordered a frozen lemonade which is also 4$, and it took 12 minutes after my food had already been ready to find an employee to make and eventually give to me. It seems there is a major lack of staff and communication errors among the team. I don't mind paying Panera prices when my experience is good, but it is too expensive to validate a poor experience. read more

I wish I would have paid attention to the time when I arrived and first got in line. I was going to pay in cash, so I waited at the counter instead of ordering at the kiosk, plus I have never been here before so I needed to ask a question. What appeared to be the manager came through and looked at me and the older woman waiting behind me, then told us it would be a few minutes and pointed out the kiosk. We were both were fine with waiting, so we waited in the same line for another 5 minutes or so, whatever. I guess she realized we were still there and peeked from the kitchen and told us she was not taking our order, to use the kiosk. I said no thank you, and the lady behind me didn't know how to, so again, we stayed in line. I finally got to place my order at 11:39am. I finally got my food and left (it was to go) at 12:14pm. Unreal. No reason to be rude about being short staffed if that is the case. It's not the customers fault. A lot of the people trying to order at the counter were older, and older people usually pay in cash, which the kiosks don't accept. Other things to note: They were out of mozzarella cheese, forgot the mustard I asked for on one of the sandwiches. My daughter enjoyed her sandwich, but mine left a lot to be desired. I am a local drug rep. And I do thousands of dollars worth of catering per quarter.... So, you begin to know who is very organized and appreciates your business. I walked in Panera with an order for eight people (to go) and said I would gladly wait until the order was ready .... No matter how long it took.... Immediately I get the eye roll from cashier, Skye and I said oh I wrote it all down so it would be easier to ring in. She was not happy.... (Even though my handwriting is VERY neat).... I had names by each of the entrees and I asked if they could write the names on top of the entree containers so we would know what everything was without opening other Peoples food.... She said "No, we don't do that..." How nice.... I said I guess we will just open everything up and figure it out.... She smiled and said "Ok".... Complete smugness .... I've asked all of my five partners in Mobile to Boycott this place and they will .... Thank you Skye! I'll never see you again.... Have a nice life Oh, we aren't done yet! Once I finally received the order.... I brought it to the doctor's office and I was missing a sandwich and a soup.... SO, I went back to see Skye who quickly looked down the receipt and saw that SHE didn't ring it up correctly.... (Which would t have happened IF she had labeled them in the first place) So she proceeds to ring up the soup and the sandwich up AGAIN and now"I" have to pay so it doesn't look funny on an expense report.... So excited that we now have a Panera Bread on the area with a drive thru. The new cafe is so bright and beautiful! They have different coffee options in the coffee area and a cool pick up area with a screen for order statuses. I appreciate the social distancing measures (sanitizer, masks required and spaced seating) they currently have in place. They are also offering curbside pickup. read more

Food was normal , as well as services. As I finished my food I notice a lady cleaning out the tea and lemonade urns which I was drinking. It made me think that was strange to be dumping them in the middle of the day it was 2p. As I left I dumped my drink and got water , I asked the young lady what she was doing she said "oh cleaning them out, we clean them every FEW days" I said "so there dirty" She said "yes basically" Um they should be cleaned after every shift and why would you clean them out right in front of me making me think something was wrong with my drink. The manager on duty on 4/23/2022 needs to find a different line of work. She was rude, short and very rude to her staff as well. When we walked in, she rudely informed us that it was take out only, not providing any explanation. When we did get our food, it was bad. The sandwiches were put together so sloppy they fell apart at first bite. The croutons were at least 3 days old and extremely stale. The only good thing we got was the soup, but unfortunately the tortilla strips must have sat out on the same counter as the croutons because they were not edible. To top it all off, they won't take your order themselves and require everyone to place an order online or using the kiosk. I don't see this location staying open much longer. read more

Baguette was ice cold, stale. Service was great though, everything was clean which was nice. Cashier told me about the free sip club drinks on the app, which I signed up for. Sat down and did some office work for about an hour, ordered soup. Upset about the baguette but everything else was nice. The music was just right for the overall ambience, and even though I'm probably never coming back this was one of the nicer Panera's ive been to. I am so glad to have found this location. I thought we had lost all of them in our area. This location is brand new and super clean. The food was just as delicious as usual. Due to COVID-19 many of the tables were not able to be used. This made it very difficult to find a spot where myself, mother and 5 month old could sit with a high chair. I don't think this would have been a problem pre-COVID. I would definitely recommend this location. The broccoli cheese bread bowl is my favorite. read more

Restaurant was clean sort of but menu was confusing and the staff was not really interested in explaining it. The sandwiches were overdone and the soups were ok (Campbell's makes better). Atlanta Bread was head and shoulders above Panera Bread in the quality/quantity of food and service. Went by at 12:30pm and the drive-thru was closed. Walked into the building and a young girl rudely told me that I could only order online. I politely asked for a side caesar salad since I didn't have a phone to order with. She told me that mobile order is the only way they are accepting orders. I explained that I didn't have a phone and she once again told me the same thing. I found her very rude and the workers very lazy. There were only 4 workers but there were only 2 other customers in the building. There was no reason to be unable to take a single side caesar salad order. I will not be returning. I ordered the home style chicken noodle soup for delivery yesterday. The delivery service was good. However, there was practically no chicken in the bowl of soup - just broth and a few noodles and a couple of carrot pieces. Not at all like the picture. The baguette was great. I do not recommend the chicken noodle soup. read more
