This was the first and last time I will be trying Taziki's. The hummus comes out first and has a texture I can only describe as thrown up cat food. The taste is not much better. I ordered the lamb with rice and potatoes. Most of the rice was cooked thankfully but I kept getting uncooked pieces, like how do you mess that up. The lamb was supposed to be charred not overcooked. I chewed on the overcooked lamb for a couple of minutes before I decided to spit it out and leave the restaurant. I ordered Taziki's for lunch the other day. It was on a whim while I was in the area. I love Mediterranean food and when I get a chance to try a new Mediterranean place I take it. I love harissa sauce so I decided to try the harissa chicken gyro. Gyros come with chips and a side. I went the with the tomato and cucumber salad. You also get to pick a sauce with your meal. The honey tomato chutney sounded appealing. Since I was nearby my order took a few minutes to get ready. The wait wasn't long at all. Obviously harissa spices smell wonderful so my car ride home after picking up my food was nice. When I open my to go plate my eyes widened. The gyro was packed with chicken and vegetables. The tomato cucumber salad was seasoned well with oil and vinegar, feta cheese, and spices. It was probably the best tomato and cucumber salad I've had. Now I was not exactly sure what to do with the honey tomato chutney. So I did what one does with sauce with and chips available, I started dipping. This chutney had the most amazing flavor that I wanted a bottled asap. Now the harissa gyro was phenomenal. The chicken was juicy and tender. I ordered the lamb burger and substituted the watermelon salad on the side. It was fabulous. I could not have asked for better. The watermelon salad sounds but the flavors all work together. I drove an HOUR and 30 minutes to this location from MS, because they shut down the only one that we had about a year ago and I have been devastated without Tazikis. The employees were super nice but my food not so much. I ordered a family feast of Salmon (which was my weekly go to) to take back home to my family and the salmon was super charred, burned, dried out and flavorless. We walked in and took a couple of menus to look over before heading up to the cashier to order. The menu is pretty decent and Taziki has everyday specials. I ordered today's special -- the spanakopita roll-ups with the tomato and cucumber salad -- and he ordered the lamb gyro with fresh fruit. I really liked that the meals are served with chips and your choice of a side! After you order, you can pick wherever you want to sit. Our food came out in less than 10 minutes after ordering! Yay! The portions were pretty good and the ingredients tasted fresh, but we were both disappointed about one thing.. the SAUCE doesn't live up to the name. The *tzatziki sauce here was a bit runny, and not as creamy as it should be. I will be honest that I do like the flavor of it since I love tart and sour, but the flavor is not right for a Mediterraean cafe. Overall, this place is okay. The food here is SO good. All of it. I have never had a thing I didn't like. Even my husband who is INCREDIBLY picky loves everything he has tried. He even discovered a love for pimento cheese and chicken salad here, because he was willing to try it for the first time ever, since everything else was so good. The prices are great as well, considering the quality of the food. We have always had great service, whether we went for lunch or dinner. We eat here 2-4 times a month and love that the food is great for takeout if we don't have time to sit. I cannot say enough good things about this place. read more

The last time I was in this restaurant it was in Daphne and it was delicious. I got what I always get which is a lamb Gyro, they have the best tzatziki sauce that I have ever had. Unfortunately this time although the service was excellent and the people there are very nice and professional, the lamb gyro was not the same. Im a texture person with my food and this lamb was cut and cooked like hamburger meat, not appealing at all. My husband got the same thing and he was fine with it. He got the basmati rice as a side and he loved it. I got fruit and it was good. We had a Greek salad to start with and had bell peppers in it and I've worked in a Greek restaurant before with actual Greek people and bell peppers were never in a Greek salad. Like I said before the customer service was excellent and I am positive that they would have accommodated me but I did not complain my husband loved it all so he pretty much ate it all I did finish my gyro though. I love Taziki's and the flavorful food but this visit was not the same. I ordered a chicken gyro and basmati rice. The rice was delicious as usual but the chicken on the gyro was kind of bland. It looked quite tasty but was close to a bland tasting. The staff was very friendly and nice. The guy at the register was very welcoming and inviting. After getting my food pretty quick and the meat being on the colder side, it's pretty apparent that the meat is precooked and not "made to order" just reheated. So that's turn off number one. For two my lamb came out looking like ground meat instead of the normal strips or "steak like" in most places. So that's also a little off putting. The flavor wasn't that bad just consistency of meat is unappealing. My gyro was basically just meat and lettuce. Found one onion on my last bite and a small slice of tomato but nothing else. Went for lunch today with my husband to do some work and have a healthy bite to eat. I had the spicy pimento cheese appetizer and he had the lamb with rice. All of the food was incredible and fresh, and came out super quick! The atmosphere and music are great, and everyone working there seems to be really on top of it. They have great prices, convenient take out options (even for a family of 4), and great baklava. Lots of healthy but yummy options! Definitely check them out! read more

I think this restaurant has changed owners. The decor was pretty much nonexistent, very plain. Much different than it used to be. Employees didn't notice when I walked in so waited several minutes before someone acknowledged me, not a big deal. They weren't busy and that happens. I ordered the chicken roll-ups, my favorite, it's so good with the salsa. Well, they are out of salsa, the thing that completes this meal. Oh well, I'll take some taziki sauce with it. Go over to get my drink, the ice machine isn't working properly, stood there several minutes trying to get some ice, it trickled a few small chunks. I gave up because there was someone behind me waiting. Oh, it was an employee and they saw that there was a problem with the ice machine, didn't say one word or offer to get ice. Nothing. The manager was sitting in a booth loudly talking on the phone, cussing at the person on the phone. I get my food, the chicken is so dry, and hard it was not good. The employees looked very sloppy, wrinkled and stained shirts. I will not be back to this Tazikis. I hate that, I loved this restaurant. read more

Visited Tazikis twice in the past week. I just heard about it last week from a coworker who mentioned another mediterranean place had gone into this space in the upscale shopping center off Du Rhu Dr. This is a place your order, get a number, have a seat and it will be brought to you kinda place. The interior decor, tables, chairs, booths are all new, clean and refreshing. Interesting art on the walls, and a large outdoor patio with at least a dozen tables with umbrellas. It's a little warm this time of year for me to consider eating lunch outside, but it might be nice for dinner as the sun, and temps, drop. I've tried the beef feast platter which came with a couple skewers worth of cubed beef served over my side choice of rice. The rice was light and fluffy with lemon zest to brighten it up. The beef was excellent, medium just as I had requested and very flavorful. It was served with a side greek salad which came with a small sprinkle of feta cheese crumbles which was perfect for me because I like feta but only in small doses. My lunchmates had a variety of other dishes, including one who had the mediterranean salad with grilled salmon. The salmon looked amazing! I've also tried the humus which was good, and the lamb gyro with roasted red potato side which I loved. Service was quick and the place is still new enough that managers circulate and check on each table to see if everything is to your satisfaction. I will definitely be keeping this place on the map for great places to do lunch! read more

New place. In one word: AWESOME. In two words: THE BEST. In three words: YOU GOTTA GO! Taziki's is a Mediterranean Cafe. The location and decor are exquisite, trendy, and comfortable. The menu is very appetizing. The service is as good as it gets. Everything is right about this place. They have as nice an outdoor seating area as I have ever seen. Very nice. We went for lunch. My wife had the grilled tilapia with caper-dill sauce on a kaiser bun. She reluctantly gave me a bite. It was amazing. Why would anyone go anywhere else and eat a fried fish sandwich when you can have this amazing culinary treat for only $7.99 (sides included). I chose the grilled lamb gyro. Now, I know my gyros. I lived in Chicago for 10 years, and St. Louis for 12. This was flavorful, delicious, but not overpowering in any way. Quite possibly the best I've ever had. I'll have to go back again and again to make sure. Oh, and did I mention the baklava? The perfect ending to the perfect meal. Looking for that sixth star. I'd give it if I could find it. read more

miserable experience Legacy village on Sunday, May 22 at 8 pm. The 2 salads ordered on line were to be ready in 20 minutes (there was 1 table of 2 while i was there, & no one else came in for a take out). The 3 women working there were rude (one seemed to be eating her own wrap as she prepared my order), and I was told by her after I arrived (on time) that they "had to make more chicken" which took 10 plus minutes. (Was my chicken on her wrap?) Was offered free drink, but ice machine had no ice, and water & 2 other drinks were out of order or not working (upon request, was given about an inch of ice from kitchen to use for my drink). The Mediterranean was good and had plenty of WARM chicken wrapped in foil, BUT NOT CUT UP. The signature pasta salad was a disaster. on the order form, I asked for "extra" lettuce, the "pasta & dressing on the side." When it was prepared, they had not put feta cheese nor basil on it. Upon inquiry, Was told by older woman, "we're out of basil ("staffing shortage"), and then, "it's probably already in with lettuce" (not). I had to ask for feta before I left-- one woman said "feta doesnt come on it," but it DOES AND ALWAYS HAS-- I was given 1 box of lettuce, and a second box with COLD pasta, a very scant amount of COLD chicken, a little bit of chopped tomatoes, & dressing on all of it (had requested it "on the side"). I should have been given a fully arranged salad (w/o dressing on it), which had some "extra lettuce" plus the dressing on the side. I did not order a deconstructed salad! Neither order had pita chip. Might I add, I had a similar very negative experience 2 weeks ago at this location. On that occasion, I ordered the signature pasta salad and asked in the Notes section of form for "less pasta and a little extra lettuce." That was screwed up as well, so this time I went about it differently on my order form on line. Two disasters in 2 weeks. read more

We just found this place and we are really impressed. We ordered to gluten free hummus appetizer that was good. My wife order the tilapia feast and it was delicious. I ordered the grilled beef gyro with rosemary potatoes. You have to try the rosemary potatoes, they are fantastic. We would definitely eat here again. read more
