What I liked the most: Hot grape leaves (as they should be) with rice and beef with a side of labneh. Lamb chops were juicy and tender and came with side of lentil soup served with pita croutons and fries! Homemade Warbat. Ashta (cream) wrapped in fillo dough and fried!! Nothing beats the warmth of a perfectly spiced dish! Seven Spices Grocery and Grill is an awesome place offering all sorts of entrees and appetizers. In the front is the grocery store and the grill is in the back. The grocery store was a really cool place with lots of unique Mediterranean drinks, desserts, spices, canned food, fruits, vegetables etc. We ended up buying a bag of mini chocolate bars, and sharing them in the car. Next time I want to take some time to really look through the store. There were so many interesting food items that I would love to try. The grill offers table seating as well as take out. We had a party of four and visited on a Sunday night, and there was plenty of seating. We ordered appetizers and entrees. My favorite appetizers were the falafel, baba ganoush and the hummus. For my entree,, I ordered the shrimp kebab with lentil soup and fresh vegetables. The lentil soup was absolutely amazing. Everyone in my party wanted to try it because it was SO GOOD!! The restaurant is at the back of the grocery, you literally can't see it from the front. It's a great space with dim lighting and romantic atmosphere. It was a few days before Thanksgiving and there were many large groups dining. I didn't get the name of the young woman who served us, but she was delightful. Following a sad Indian food adventure which you can find in my other reviews, we stopped here for some dessert. We shared our woe and apologized for not starting here. We ordered the Baklava and Kunafa which was also recommended to us. We also had a gyros plate (shared as an appetizer because of hungry kids) and everything was delicious. read more

Wow! I simply don't know where to begin. This was a surprise and I mean that in a really good way. We recently moved to the coastal area and I have been missing being able to go every week to a middle eastern grocery store. Imagine our surprise to find one AND it has an incredibly delicious restaurant tucked away in the back! We were so happy to be able to pick up spices, sweets, and Lebanese yogurt. We decided to try the restaurant and it was well worth the visit! They have Lebanese tea which we absolutely love and is hard to find. It's a refreshing drink of iced tea with rose water and orange blossom water. It was hard to narrow down our choices on what to order since the menu had so many items that we love. We ordered zaatar loaf which is pita bread with zaatar seasoning and olive oil which is one of our favorites. We ordered a chicken shawarma, chicken shish took sandwich and a beef shawarma. We were surprised that our sandwiches came with a choice of soup or salad in addition to fries, rice or vegetables. We all opted for the lentil soup. It was wonderful! Our sandwiches came out quickly and we tried all three and not a single negative comment was made. There honestly wasn't much conversation at the table since the food was so delicious. All three sandwiches were hot, full over flavor, and delicious! We all loved the vegetables that had roasted potatoes mixed in. The rice wand fries were very good as well. Our server was extremely nice and answered all of our questions and made great recommendations. The restaurant is cozy and has quite a few tables. I love the music that they played. All of the employees were so friendly and helpful from the shop up front to the restaurant in the back. The shop is very clean and easy to find any items that you may need. We are long term fans. My suggestions include the rose tea to drink. I love the hummus or falafel as an appetizer. The arayas is a good dinner option-but make sure you add the onions and cheese option. The desserts are definitely worth trying. This is a great place if you like authentic food. This is a quant little restaurant in the back of a Grocery market. Much like you would find in the Middle East. The food was good. Lintel soup was a bit grainy but very tasty. Then went on to the hummus which was just as you would find in Saudi or Qatar. Great. Next was lamb Chops. You can't go wrong. Smoky with a nice char cooked to perfection. I ordered a lamb kabob sandwich with rice and a sweet tea. The sandwich and tea were incredible as was the rice. The restaurant is in the rear of a small store and nicely tucked away like a hidden jewel. Their restaurant is separate from the grocery store placed all the way in the back so you still get a good sit down feel. There's plenty of seating so no wait necessary! Unfortunately the staff was short the day we went, but the waitresses were really on top of it! She got us our menus, drinks, and food very quickly!! Speaking of food, their portions are huge! While traveling through Mobile, we found this looking for a place to stop for dinner. Never would have found or considered this without Yelp, nor would we have known to go all the way to the back of a very well-stocked store to reach the restaurant hidden behind it. The positive reviews we read were right on point: great food, reasonable prices, and unobtrusively good service. From the Vegetarian Sampler, there was nothing I didn't want to continue eating had there not been simply too much food. If we weren't heading for another hotel, I would have gladly taken every bit remaining and had a second, wonderful meal. Despite its secretive location, it had a lot of customers and was handling a brisk take-out load as well. Maybe our timing was lucky, but with just two servers (and maybe some pitching in from the kitchen), there was barely any noticeable wait throughout the meal. Try the Lebanese tea. It has some kind of rose water and orange citrus infused in it and is interesting and delightful. Wish we were coming back. If I'm ever back in Mobile, I will return. read more

First, I had a reaffirmation moment of how awesome Yelp is as I pulled into the parking lot, realizing that I'd passed this spot a gajillion times never even looked in its direction. After a few minutes the hostess and server took us to a table. She was very personable. Drink orders were taken and we ordered a combo appetizer with three dips, Hummus, Baba Gahnouj, and Labneh. For an entree I ordered Chicken Shawarma with rice, grilled veggies, and a Greek Salad with citrus dressing. My wife got the Moussaka. I would have to say this is one of those rare moments when an excellent front of house is perfectly complimented by a kitchen that is hitting on all cylinders. I ordered a gyro sandwich that came with my choice of a soup or salad, the gyro sandwich itself, as well as a side of fries, rice, or grilled vegetables. I can't believe how much food you get for the price! Not only was the quantity there, but the quality of the food was spot on. The salad was dressed well and came with little sweet grape tomatoes and cubes of feta cheese. The gyro itself was stacked with tons of meat, fresh vegetables, and a creamy sauce.
