I found this place while traveling through Mobile. When we pulled off the exit and began following the GPS instructions, we were not sure we were in the right place. It is in the middle of an industrial area (which is genius by the way!) but had us 2nd guessing. The we rounded the corner and you can't miss it. We went on a holiday about 30 minutes before they closed and missed all the crowds. As we looked over the menu Regina's husband offered a few suggestions, and I have to say, he didn't steer us wrong! We had a grilled cheese, tuna melt (special), and the chicken salad blt on toasted sourdough because in his words "the toasted sourdough is just a better vehicle for the chicken salad" . I also had fresh fruit as a side, and even in January it was delicious! I'm positive this will be a stop on our next trip through.

Yum! Regina's is a solid lunch option! As a Mobilian transplant, Regina's was all the rage for lunch hype, and I'm pleased to report that I can agree! I wasn't too enthused with my side (a beans and rice deal-meh) as much, but I truly enjoyed the turkey sandwich special. Flavors were on point! The service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant itself is quaint with a southern flair. All in all, I'd add it to the rotation if I were you.

I love Regina's! Just moved back to the area and was worried when I saw they'd shuttered up the old Gov't location but found out they were opened up at a new location near the downtown airport and was very pleased! The quality is just as good as ever!! This is my favorite lunch spot in Mobile.

Same wonderful restaurant but in a new location at Brookley Field on 15th Street. I had lunch with a friend and we split the Tom Turkey sandwich so we could enjoy a whole piece each of the decadent Mississippi Mud cake. Great customer service!!

For a small establishment I am pleasantly surprised with how satisfied I am. Everything was amazing and so was the service. I especially loved the flash card game while we waited. I'd go back for sure. I showed my friend her new favorite spot. read more

If you like local spots then this place is a MUST try! Walk in and you order at the counter. Sandwiches and salads. This is my second visit here. Both times it has been busy. The food is made to order. The sandwich are very very good. Big bowls of soup. And a good portion for the sides. They have indoor seating and limited covered outdoor seating! Next time your in Mobile and your looking for a great local spot you have to try this place! read more

What's-her-name and I sought out Regina's Kitchen based upon the Yelp reviews while driving through Mobile. Our lunch there was almost all that we came to expect. Sadly, we have to subtract one star because none of of the staff wore a mask to help slow the spread of COVID-19. We have walked out of lesser places to protect our health and awarded them only one star and zero if we could. We should have abandoned Regina's but couldn't resist. read more

My family has done a three week road trip and we have relied on Yelp reviews to guide us to wonderful food. In the three weeks worth of food this place is the cream of the crop. I had the LOOP and it was a perfect sandwich. The crisp bacon combined with the creamy chicken salad is a winner. My kids split a TomTurkey sandwich and they both said it was the best sandwich they've ever had. I highly recommend this place for a delicious meal. read more

I get lunch here at least once a week. The quality of the food is outstanding! Everything I have ever ordered was delicious. I recommend the Loop on toasted sourdough, the Schoel, the Mary Ann, or the trio salad. If you get the trio and want something a little different ask for the jalapeno cheese as one of your 3 selections. It's the same thing they put on the Schoel. I've never had a bad experience here. They are always on point! read more

Arrived at 2:10. Already closed. Closes at 2:00. Returned at a later date, on a Saturday. The staff was friendly. Most of the food was sandwiches, but what we had was well above average. We will have to go back again and try something else. Perhaps that's a good sign. read more

I visited this great spot for the 2nd time today. Great food, friendly staff and a comfortable, laid back atmosphere. On my first visit, I had chicken tortilla soup and a delicious grilled cheese and tomato sandwich. This time I had French Onion soup and a magnificent Reuben that was grilled to perfection. I honestly don't know where to begin with this. I was in town just to explore Mobile. I decided to give this place a try, and oh the joy it brought me. I would tell you how amazing my sandwich was specifically, but I'm confident every sandwhich is great. Every single ingredient, the taste, the freshness, everything was amazing. I couldn't dream of a better sandwich. My friend got a salad and this is where we found out they make their salad dressing in house. I'm head over heels for this place. My only regret is I'm not sure how many more times I can visit before my stay is over. read more

This place is a gem in Mobile! Our family stopped as we were heading out of town and picked up sandwiches. They were the best sandwiches! We ordered everything from PB&J to club sandwiches. The only thing as good as their sandwiches is their iced tea. So good! read more

I was visiting from Tuscaloosa and was happy to find Regina's Kitchen. I greatly enjoyed my Ham Solo sandwich and mud cake. The place was pretty packed around noon so be sure to get there early if you're in a hurry. I loved the variety and uniqueness of their sandwiches. I had the pasta salad as the side due to seeing a few recommendations on yelp for it. I'm not a big pasta salad fan and I thought it was okay. The mud cake and sandwich quickly made up for it. I could only eat half the mud cake which worked out great for an after dinner desert at my hotel. The employees were nice and the food came out relatively quickly for how many people were there. If you see an open table, grab it quick or it will be gone. Hope to go back another time. read more

Regina's is everything I look for in a sandwich shop. Delicious, quaint, quick, and did I say DELICIOUS! Definitely not a hidden gem! It's an out in the open gem. Everyone loves Reginas! And if you are a local that hasn't been, it is a must do to reaffirm yourself as a Mobilian. The building itself has a cool bit of character. Definitely conveniently located for the average midtowner, and easy to access from West Mobile, Downtown, or the high way. I don't have a favorite item yet because I'm still trying new things. They have all be spectacular. Btw Regina is the person making everything. Yes the owner is working, and perhaps it's her heart that is going into all of the food. She is a wonderful funny person if you get the chance to talk to her. There is only one problem with Regina's Kitchen... it is only open for lunch, and even worse only until 2pm!!! And it is closed on the weekends!!!! Gasp! So if you want this deliciousness you'll have to be ready to get here during lunch. But even if you were fired from your job because you drove 20 minutes to get there for lunch you would not regret the choice... well maybe a little... but then you could get a new job closers to it and have happiness forever. read more

Holly Cow - I heart this place. We found this place when we first moved to Mobile. Love, love the poppy seed dressing on fruit as well as the many other wonderful salads. My hubby loves the Tomm Turkey with a side of pimento cheese. The only bad about this place is that it is normally too crowded to enjoy ... a problem the owners love I'm sure. And, I must add, when I did complain one time about the the "hearty soup" lacking any substance - I was given a blank stare from the man from behind the counter. Nothing said, just a "I don't care look, don't come back" look. But we have and loved everything but the soup, and attitude !!! read more

As my move from Alabama closely approached, the one thing that I knew I would miss most is Regina's Kitchen. My absolute most favorite thing about this place is the balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I would swim in a pool of it if I could. I would be willing to pay a small fortune for the recipe. Seriously, it is the best balsamic dressing I have ever had. I always buy extra. The Midtown salad holds a special place in my heart. First of all, it is GINORMOUS, and it actually fills me up. Second, it is single handedly responsible for me developing a taste for goat cheese. No matter how hard I try, I cannot reproduce that salad, or that salad dressing. So, some may not be please with certain aspects of this restaurant. It is only open a few hours each day. The days that it is open is sometimes unpredictable. The wait for the food can sometimes be a bit longer than one might want to wait. I personally don't have a problem with any of those things, because they are significantly overshadowed by all of the other great things about this place. There was a time when I ate at this restaurant 3-4 times per week. I almost always get the Midtown salad, and have gotten other people hooked on it as well. I have tried numerous other things off the menu, and have been more than pleased. Now that I no longer live in Alabama, all I can do is dream of that salad dressing. read more

I've been coming to Mobile for over three years on business and can't believe I've never eaten at this place before! Such great food. The turkey sandwich was fantastic, awesome flavor and very hearty. The pasta salad is a must if you like olives and artichoke hearts. Will definitely be back. read more

Wow, what a great deli I ordered take out and my food was promptly made and ready for pick up when I arrived, a lot of places don't seem to understand that's how it's supposed to work. My Nikki Debbie was awesome and the potato salad was flavorful, great job with the red taters guys. A MUST TRY! I just moved to Mobile from the land of awesome food spots (Bay Area, CA) and was lucky to have discovered this hot spot on Yelp. Wow! All I can say is his place is so good... it's open all of 3 hours a day. There also wasn't a line of less than 3 people the entire time I was there! AUGUST 16, 2019 We are MOVING to a new location RE-OPENING Monday September 9TH (OR 16TH) Hello all, we are relocating to the Brookley Aeroplex to better serve the growing hub of industries that now call Mobile home and the travellers arriving to our city via the shiny, new Downtown Airport. The good news: For our downtown patrons, we are actually closer and quicker to get to. From Broad Street, we're only an eight minute drive with two traffic lights. For our west of I-65 patrons, we may not be closer, but driving to the Michigan Ave Exit on I-10 is faster than driving down Airport Blvd. For our twice-a-year to drive thru town patrons, easy-button, right off I-10. For our Midtown patrons, well, it's worth the drive to get a Schoel and watch A320s fly around in circles. The bad news: No bad news, it's all good. We'll keep everybody posted, but not on Facebook. Look forward to seeing everyone soon.

Do yourself a favor and just stop here! When I stopped by, they had already sold out of quite a few sandwich options. I asked for a recommendation and subsequently ordered the schoel. QUITE LITERALLY, this was the BEST sandwich I have had in a long time. If I could give more than five stars I would. Even if turkey is not your favorite meat, still do yourself a favor and get this sandwich. read more

We go here at least three times a month. Would go more if waistband would allow it. The Pasta salad with artichokes is wonderful and I can't say enough about the sandwiches.
