If you like local spots then this place is a MUST try! Walk in and you order at the counter. Sandwiches and salads. This is my second visit here. Both times it has been busy. The food is made to order. The sandwich are very very good. Big bowls of soup. And a good portion for the sides. They have indoor seating and limited covered outdoor seating! What's-her-name and I sought out Regina's Kitchen based upon the Yelp reviews while driving through Mobile. Our lunch there was almost all that we came to expect. Sadly, we have to subtract one star because none of of the staff wore a mask to help slow the spread of COVID-19. We have walked out of lesser places to protect our health and awarded them only one star and zero if we could. We should have abandoned Regina's but couldn't resist. read more

My family has done a three week road trip and we have relied on Yelp reviews to guide us to wonderful food. In the three weeks worth of food this place is the cream of the crop. I had the LOOP and it was a perfect sandwich. The crisp bacon combined with the creamy chicken salad is a winner. I get lunch here at least once a week. The quality of the food is outstanding! Everything I have ever ordered was delicious. I recommend the Loop on toasted sourdough, the Schoel, the Mary Ann, or the trio salad. If you get the trio and want something a little different ask for the jalapeno cheese as one of your 3 selections. It's the same thing they put on the Schoel. I've never had a bad experience here. I honestly don't know where to begin with this. I was in town just to explore Mobile. I decided to give this place a try, and oh the joy it brought me. I would tell you how amazing my sandwich was specifically, but I'm confident every sandwhich is great. Every single ingredient, the taste, the freshness, everything was amazing. Regina's is everything I look for in a sandwich shop. Delicious, quaint, quick, and did I say DELICIOUS! Definitely not a hidden gem! It's an out in the open gem. Everyone loves Reginas! And if you are a local that hasn't been, it is a must do to reaffirm yourself as a Mobilian. The building itself has a cool bit of character. Definitely conveniently located for the average midtowner, and easy to access from West Mobile, Downtown, or the high way. I don't have a favorite item yet because I'm still trying new things. They have all be spectacular. Btw Regina is the person making everything. Yes the owner is working, and perhaps it's her heart that is going into all of the food. She is a wonderful funny person if you get the chance to talk to her. There is only one problem with Regina's Kitchen... it is only open for lunch, and even worse only until 2pm!!! And it is closed on the weekends!!!! Gasp! So if you want this deliciousness you'll have to be ready to get here during lunch. But even if you were fired from your job because you drove 20 minutes to get there for lunch you would not regret the choice... well maybe a little... but then you could get a new job closers to it and have happiness forever. read more

Holly Cow - I heart this place. We found this place when we first moved to Mobile. Love, love the poppy seed dressing on fruit as well as the many other wonderful salads. My hubby loves the Tomm Turkey with a side of pimento cheese. The only bad about this place is that it is normally too crowded to enjoy ... a problem the owners love I'm sure. And, I must add, when I did complain one time about the the "hearty soup" lacking any substance - I was given a blank stare from the man from behind the counter. As my move from Alabama closely approached, the one thing that I knew I would miss most is Regina's Kitchen. My absolute most favorite thing about this place is the balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I would swim in a pool of it if I could. I would be willing to pay a small fortune for the recipe. Seriously, it is the best balsamic dressing I have ever had. I always buy extra. The Midtown salad holds a special place in my heart. First of all, it is GINORMOUS, and it actually fills me up. Second, it is single handedly responsible for me developing a taste for goat cheese. No matter how hard I try, I cannot reproduce that salad, or that salad dressing. So, some may not be please with certain aspects of this restaurant. It is only open a few hours each day. The days that it is open is sometimes unpredictable. The wait for the food can sometimes be a bit longer than one might want to wait. I personally don't have a problem with any of those things, because they are significantly overshadowed by all of the other great things about this place. There was a time when I ate at this restaurant 3-4 times per week. I almost always get the Midtown salad, and have gotten other people hooked on it as well. I have tried numerous other things off the menu, and have been more than pleased. Now that I no longer live in Alabama, all I can do is dream of that salad dressing. read more

I was visiting from Tuscaloosa and was happy to find Regina's Kitchen. I greatly enjoyed my Ham Solo sandwich and mud cake. The place was pretty packed around noon so be sure to get there early if you're in a hurry. I loved the variety and uniqueness of their sandwiches. I had the pasta salad as the side due to seeing a few recommendations on yelp for it. I'm not a big pasta salad fan and I thought it was okay. The mud cake and sandwich quickly made up for it. I could only eat half the mud cake which worked out great for an after dinner desert at my hotel. The employees were nice and the food came out relatively quickly for how many people were there. If you see an open table, grab it quick or it will be gone. Hope to go back another time. read more

All I can say is his place is so good... it's open all of 3 hours a day. There also wasn't a line of less than 3 people the entire time I was there!
