    Ruben Sandwich
    Norbert C.

Ya'll this is the best Muffulatta and Ruben we ever had! Time to sleep! The meat is high quality and the portions are huge. It's a no frills kind of place but that makes the experience even better. Take my advice- just get the quarter Muffulatta- that's all you need. Unless your really hungry your taking the other half home with you. This is a great place to share a meal- trust me. I'd give it a 10 star if that was a thing.

Hands down, best sandwich place in Mobile. Friendly atmosphere. Can't wait to go back

Chicken salad sandwich on toasted sourdough bread with fruit.

I found this place while traveling through Mobile. When we pulled off the exit and began following the GPS instructions, we were not sure we were in the right place. It is in the middle of an industrial area (which is genius by the way!) but had us 2nd guessing. The we rounded the corner and you can't miss it. We went on a holiday about 30 minutes before they closed and missed all the crowds. As we looked over the menu Regina's husband offered a few suggestions, and I have to say, he didn't steer us wrong! We had a grilled cheese, tuna melt (special), and the chicken salad blt on toasted sourdough because in his words "the toasted sourdough is just a better vehicle for the chicken salad" . I also had fresh fruit as a side, and even in January it was delicious! I'm positive this will be a stop on our next trip through.

Yum! Regina's is a solid lunch option! As a Mobilian transplant, Regina's was all the rage for lunch hype, and I'm pleased to report that I can agree! I wasn't too enthused with my side (a beans and rice deal-meh) as much, but I truly enjoyed the turkey sandwich special. Flavors were on point! The service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant itself is quaint with a southern flair. All in all, I'd add it to the rotation if I were you.

I love Regina's! Just moved back to the area and was worried when I saw they'd shuttered up the old Gov't location but found out they were opened up at a new location near the downtown airport and was very pleased! The quality is just as good as ever!! This is my favorite lunch spot in Mobile.

Same wonderful restaurant but in a new location at Brookley Field on 15th Street. I had lunch with a friend and we split the Tom Turkey sandwich so we could enjoy a whole piece each of the decadent Mississippi Mud cake. Great customer service!!

I've eaten there a few times, it's off the beaten path, and is the perfect establishment to serve the hard working people of Mobile! In the past, I've visited their tiny, clean, well lit establishment and tried a nice breakfast, a burger, and a chicken sandwich, and haven't been disappointed by anything I've tried. Today, I decided to try the Philly Cheesesteak. One thing I love about this little place is how warm and inviting it is. The staff is very friendly. I patiently waited for my sandwich, and they made it pretty quickly. He plated it up into the take out container, and doused it with a red sauce I'd never seen on a Philly before, I asked him what it was, he said it was the secret sauce. I asked him if it was spicy, and told me it wasn't, and to trust him that jt was good. I took the sandwich, thanked them, and left. I went out to Arlington Park and ate it. The fries had a great seasoning on them, but that sauce, it elevated that sandwich to a level that no other Philly I've ever eaten has been to. The steak was chopped perfectly, the onions and peppers were fresh and cooked just right. This is hands down a great lunch, and I've got to remember to get over there more often! If you're east of Interstate 10 in Mobile, off the Virginia Street exit, Shu-Bam is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a great meal! Color me impressed! Another

The service can be a bit unpredictable, and the coffee isn't very flavorful, but that doesn't stop me from loving it, mainly because of the Breakfast Brisket Scramble. It's full of flavor, really filling, and the kind of meal you end up craving days later. No restaurant is perfect, but The Toasted Yolk nails the important stuff: the food. If you're grabbing breakfast or brunch, do yourself a favor and order the Breakfast Brisket Scramble. It totally makes up for the little flaws elsewhere.

Stayed anyway because server and hostess were good and atmosphere was cute. I ordered a Power Bowl called the Garden Breakfast Bowl (I knew my mom ordering traditional breakfast for me to sneak bites from). I was hoping for healthy crunch and boost to my day. The vinaigrette was too much for the fresh veggies, bulgar wheat and quinoa. I'm not sure what you would put on that power bowl but that dressing was not it. It had too much of it as well. The veggies and avocado were fresh and ratio of other fillers was good. I wouldn't get it again though. Like I said I took some bites of my mom's traditional breakfast. Eggs cooked correctly, bacon was too, Belgian waffle was very good- fluffy and sweet. Pancake was basic. Overall, the whole experience was basic honestly. I wouldn't turn down if invited there but not going back on my own.
