Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon as this appeared to be one of the few places opened. To start this Jimmy John's share space with a Dunkin's adjoining the Hampton Inn. We walked in and there was no one at the JJ counter but once we asked an employee came over promptly to assist. She was patient with us on ordering as we were undecided and for me the menu was overwhelming. The cleanliness of the only dining table could have been addressed by one of the at least 4 people working. Been here several times and the staff have been terrible. Last time was on 3/2/26 for an online order, wasn't ready when I got there , no ice in the soda machine. The pink haired girl the counter charged my card twice when I complained about the order not being ready. read more

Great location but typically never staffed well. They're quick to take your order but be prepared for it to be 15 minutes before you have your food, even if it's just one sandwich. Place is free of trash but the bathroom usually isn't kept up. Sweet tea is always full, and the chips are always stocked. Interior is decorated like every other Jimmy John's. Biggest drawback is they close at 7pm everyday. read more

Got takeout and husband picked up. I got the turkey, ham, provolone club on the wheat bread but I thought it would be on a sub roll but it was ok because the wheat bread was good but it had visible crunchy places in it like nuts?? I'm not sure but I like my wheat bread smooth, I know it's weird! Anyway my husband got the same club but on French bread and he let me have his other half and he had mine so... his was delicious and these sandwiches were full of meat!! They are priced accordingly.the chips are like the zap's of which I am not a fan, whatever happened to go ole Lays? We dined at this jimmy john's for lunch. The only people actually working were the sandwich maker and cashier. The others were standing around pretending to work while the other two were slaving. It frustrated me for the sandwich line worker, she was working her butt off. One girl was sweeping the same trash around for almost the whole time we dined. the guy didnt take his backpack off the whole time and just walked around in circles. If a manager looks at this, please take a look at the staff and praise the sandwich maker, because she is a huge asset for you. read more

Great food!! Stopped in for the first time while on lunch and I'm so glad it's within walking distance of my job. The service was friendly and fast and they make your sandwiches right in front of you. There are so many options so there's something for everyone. I also like how half the sandwich isn't all bread like with other sub shops. The bread is amazing and the toppings are fresh. Ordered to-go via the mobile app and purchased a pickle, cut in half, with my sandwich. When I got back to my office, I discovered the pickle was rotten and there was a huge dead pickle worm inside it, leaving a trail of excrement behind it. And unlike finding the prize at the bottom of my tequila bottle, this grossed me out. Clearly, anyone preparing food would have noticed it and tossed it aside before serving, right? Wrong. Then, to add insult to injury, I contacted the store and they said to contact main customer service, which I did; sent 2 emails with no response. I guess you could say I'm in a "pickle," because I'm at least due a refund, but also waiting for anyone with a pulse, unlike this little guy, to respond to my complaint. My first time at a JJ's. I have heard all of the radio commercials, but this is the first time one was near where I was. It was me and the kids. We ordered a #15, the big tuna sandwich, and a ham and cheese all on the French bread. Also two medium drinks a couple bags of JJ's chips, a whole pickle cut in quarters lengthwise, and a chocolate and an oatmeal cookie. My tuna was as fresh as you could get and all the trimmings were crisp and flavorful. (I opted for the alfalfa sprouts too.) The chips reminded me of Zappe's super crunchy chips from home and not too greasy or salty.The kids really enjoyed the ham and cheese, an eight inch cut in half, and ate it all quickly. Their sandwich was referred to as a slim, because it didn't have all of the extra toppings and was also a dollar cheaper. The cookies were OK. They were a little over sweet, but had decent flavor. Nothing too memorable. Now, onto the service and the PICKLE. The service was unreal. I had not finished paying and they already had the sandwiches and the pickle sitting on the counter. That was less than two minutes! Weekday lunch rush must be a walk in the park for them. THE PICKLE... OMG and I do not use that term very often, This was a full size Kosher Dill cut into four long slices. I usually don't eat dill pickles and only if someone raves about them. I knew my little girl couldn't eat a whole one by herself so I pitched in to help. And I am SO glad I did. That was a party in my mouth. No other way to put it. I tasted cilantro in one bite, oregano in another, and even sweet bell pepper. This is what I think a gourmet pickle should taste like. And they just list it as a jumbo pickle on the menu! Jimmy John's (62 S Royal St, Mobile, AL) It has been a long time since I have been this disappointed in an establishment! I placed a telephone order to this establishment at 12:00 noon today (7/12/16). Upon completing the placement of my order and payment of 1/2 the order with a credit card the employee informed me that the food would be ready upon my arrival. Well parking at this location downtown can be less than fun and so my friend went with me. The line was all the way to the door of the location. My friend who was picking up the food and had paid for her order with a credit card ahead of time went to the pickup window. She was told that even though we had ordered ahead of time and were told it would be ready when we got there, that she would need to wait in the huge "ordering" line. To me this is just plain unacceptable. Our time is extremely valuable and that was the purpose of calling in ahead of time to place the order. I don't care to wait a few min. on pickup as I worked in food service and realize that things don't happen instantly, but telling me I will then have to wait close to an hour after arrival is unreasonable. My friend told the employee who informed her she would have to wait to cancel her order because we didn't have the time to wait. I will have plenty more to say if the charges on the card are not canceled after we were not able to get the food. I am more aggravated with the situation because we wouldn't have placed the order to begin with had we known how behind the location was. We had called a different location prior to this one which informed us when we attempted to the order they were 1.5 to 2 hours behind. We told them thanks, but didn't have the time to wait. Had we known we would have the long wait to deal with for pick up after the placement of the order we wouldn't have ordered from here either. Thanks to the poor performance and lack of information on the order status at this location my friend and I lost our lunch hour! read more

The delivery was freaky fast! The sandwich was great! The only issue I had was the delivery person was not able to come up to our room with our sandwich, and when I went down to the lobby to meet the delivery person he was nowhere to be found. Only Jimmy John's I've ever heard of that ran out of bread. Not 1 type but all bread! Staff had 2 trays in or About 12 loaves. Not sure what was going on. Ordered an unwich. Last unwich before they ran out of big leaves of lettuce. read more

The managers here are extremely rude and racist . A customer in front of me asked multiple questions and when i was at the front she instantly got irritated and answer very rudely "we're not allowed to do that" . the location is nice but the service makes it terrible . read more

Within 15 minutes of placing the order online, a cutie pie bicycle delivery girl pulled up to the front door with my order. So happy to have JJ's downtown now!! Fast and delicious! read more

Waited 40 minutes for delivery. Once delivered they realized they had wrong drink. Waited 10 minutes before going to break room to eat my lunch. Opened my bag and I had NO sandwich at all; just had the whole pickle I ordered. Called them and told them what happened. They said they'll send the sandwich and drink right over. Waited another 20 minutes. The delivery person brought the drink but no sandwich. He said he'd go get it. Told him don't even bother since my lunch time was over. 10 minutes later some other delivery person showed up with sandwich and drink and tried getting me to pay for it even though I had paid for first order that essentially wasn't delivered. I'm a diehard JJ fan. Have been for years. I say that because, I want the review I'm about to give to be kept in context. Sunday, my wife and I stopped in the downtown Mobile (62 S Royal St, Mobile, AL) location, and saw 15 people standing around looking miserable. Should have turned around and walked out, but as I said, I'm a diehard fan. An EMT was frustrated with the staff, as they must have messed he and his partners orders up several times. The partner then came in, annoyed and wondering what was the hold up, indicating they'd been waiting for some time. The staff was completely incompetent. There was no communication between them. I worked at a Subway, so I understand the pressures of a rush, but this was a self inflicted bottleneck. They were messing up literally everyones order(s), and were getting flustered and rushing - the guy in the front was just slamming things together without reading the tickets. The girl in the middle with a bad attitude kept yelling at the guy at the end (who I felt bad for because he was catching the brunt of criticism when people'd get their incorrect or incomplete orders). Two women started complaining they'd been waiting for over forty five minutes- AT A JIMMY JOHNS! The staff started jumping orders around in a panic, and two people that showed up after my wife and I were served long before the women who were there before us (and this was over 20 minuets into our wait). The manager was just ignoring questions, pretending to take phone calls. After 35 minutes of waiting, and my ticket being jumped 4 times, I finally basically re-ordered at the assembly line, and our sandwiches were sloppily thrown together (I might add the staff never changed gloves the 40 minutes we were in there, and the stations were filthy), before they sat at the end of the line, unwrapped for 5 minutes! Why? The staff (three of them) were arguing about a pre-made order that NO ONE was claiming (it was most likely a sandwich for a customer who walked out), and my wife just asked, "Can you please just wrap up our sandwiches, and we're done!" before the chick with the attitude mouthed off that they were trying to figure something out. With that, I got back in line, to demand a refund (I was one of 4 I witnessed in my wait there) and heard the manager tell the woman in front of me they were OUT OF BREAD. IN A SANDWICH SHOP! I got my refund, refused to take the sandwiches, and will never EVER return to that location. In all we were there 40 minutes, witnessed 3 refunds, 6 messed up orders, a BLT that no one even ordered made 3 times in confusion, the staff argue (over our unwrapped food),several sandwiches wrapped and unwrapped by the staff, a member throw an item in the trash and when reprimanded by the girl, reach into the trash and pull it back out, before she scolded him further not to, and yet, he never changed his gloves, a filthy work station, no napkins, no bread, and no apology. I rate it a 1/5 only because I can't go into the negative numbers. read more
