We went for the first time the day after they opened. They were slammed and they provided great service, really doing a great job with the volume of people that were there. The second visit was several weeks later and the service seemed to have slipped, even with it being much less busy - they were busy, just nothing like opening weekend. The food was solid, but if you have ever read any of my reviews, you know I like food that is supposed to be hot to be hot. That just was not the case. Here's the thing. You order at the counter, and food is brought to you. Food was being prepped and then sitting with no heat source for a while in many cases - you could see when the food was ready to be picked up. I wanted to just try the biscuit, so after we were all done eating I ordered a single biscuit. It took 28 minutes, in a biscuit restaurant - one single biscuit. When it came to me (finally) there was no butter or spread on the side. I asked for both and I believe they only had one jelly option. That is also very confusing to me. Seems like you would have a variety of really cool jams and jellies. They have some interesting biscuit concepts, but when you spend $100 for 6 people to eat biscuits and 5 of them are in high school, you really need to deliver on your concept. It is a great concept and I am sure the location will execute. I would note that since the closing of Ed's Seafood Shed on the hill in Spanish Fort, this is the only other good option for breakfast besides Chick-Fil-A and Waffle House.

The Fresh Market is a supermarket geared more towards a higher end experience, more of a food destination type foodie-driven kind of place and their prices reflect that (although they will run sales). Their meat department has friendly employees willing to help you with any questions about the enormous display of meats & seafood and if you need need fresh cuts of meats, they got you. I love that they still have butchers in this supermarket. I also love that there's a mix of meats like crab cakes, stuffed pork chops, tempura shrimp, stuffed duck and salmon burgers. Oh and the deli is also desirous with all sorts of pre-made lunches and dinners. So, for the reason of my visit: Rao's was only $5.99 and I bought 20 jars...yeah, it's just that amazing plus it's like $9.00+ a jar at other local grocers.
