A employee at this location named Nick was very rude to me. The experience was beyond unprofessional. I was trying to use the bogo app on the website. It was not working so I went into the store to see if they would honor it. Nick had a terrible and nonchalant attitude about it. I asked him if I could speak with a supervisor he told me no. I always regarded the Subway located at 3725 Airport Blvd located in Mobile, Alabama as a good restaurant. I had one issue months ago whereas a new employee attempted to slice my bread open to prepare for inserting the meats. She sliced the bread incorrectly and the bread was nowhere close to being evenly cut. She rejected the bread and attempted to cut another bun when she once again cut it incorrectly. She didn't say anything and got frustrated at her second error and grabbed a third bun to see if she can cut it right and again failed to cut it open properly. She looked at me and asked me what type of sandwich I wanted and I stated that the bun she had just cut (which she did not reject) was cut where the lower half had a hole in it. She said she messed up and she was having issues trying to cut it open and didn't want to attempt again. This girl had a bad attitude and I told her that I shouldn't be forced to have a sandwich that was improperly cut by her and she stated that she wasn't going to attempt to cut another bun. She obviously had a very bad day and I left the restaurant. Being a restaurant I visited weekly, I figured the girl was new and was having a bad day. On November 30th, 2018, I went into the same restaurant to order two subs to go. I asked for a Steak & Cheese and a Spicy Italian Sub. The girl taking the order suggested that I try their new garlic bread as bread choices and said that they would be great subs. I had faith in her suggestion and said sure to the order. When I got up to the register to pay for the sandwiches, I was told that the bread was $2.00 extra for each of the bread. I asked the girl why she didn't tell me that the bread would be extra when she suggested and she said that she forgot to mention that when ordering. I was very disappointed that my order would cost $4.00 extra due to her failure to properly tell me about the extra cost. I purchased the subs and when I left the store, I found out by the customer in front of me that he too was charged extra and was not told about the extra price for his choice also. When I got home, I opened up my Steak & Cheese Sub and it was very soggy due to the garlic spread. The sandwich also tasted NASTY...soggy garlic spread on a Steak & Cheese Sub does NOT mix well at all. I then opened the Spicy Italian Sub and that sandwich was also soggy and fell apart and the taste was AWFUL. I then attempted to call the store to complain and during three attempts, I got an automated voice message that asked for my phone number and also wanted a pin number. I thought that the phone number may be incorrect and I checked online and found that the number I was calling...251-343-3782 was correct and matched the phone number on the receipt. At this point, I made an online complaint on subway's website. On Saturday, the following day, I checked to see if subway did a proper followup and contacted me to find out that they apparently were not interested in my complaint. I then called the same restaurant and was finally connected with a manager named Joseph. I first mentioned the phone problem in which he acknowledged that he knew that they were having issues and didn't know that the phone system requests the phone number and a pin of each person that attempts to call. I then told Joseph about the sandwich issues and he admitted that the girl taking the order should have notified customers about the additional sandwich prices. Michael then stated that he can't refund me for the sandwiches which very much disappointed me. I then told him that I do have an option of making an online complaint about my experience on the internet and this apparently did not concern him at all. As a customer that has visited this location for years, I am not happy with my service and will take my business to a restaurant that values my patronage and tell my friends about my bad experience. Strange that they admit that it was their error and don't want to make up for their mistakes is not good customer service at all. I purchase two subs for my family once a week for the past several years and if you do the math, this bad experience will cost this restaurant a lot of money due to my visiting their competition. What in the world is happening to good customer service these days? Update: Contacted Customer Care (phone # not on website), and made my complaint. The nice girl stated she would contact the owner and see if he would refund me. I stated that I don't want a refund since I don't plan on ever visiting subway again and have another bad experience. I stated that if the manager joseph failed to refund me, nor care about my complaint, I would rather make an online review about my experience and let others know that this restaurant is failing at proper customer care and not fully trained. I'm now going to drive a few extra miles to eat at another restaurant other than subway. read more

Whenever i go to subway i always bring my own cup if im planning on buying a fountain drink. I went to soda fountains and started filling my drink the young lady working there Kayla yells out you're going to have to pay for that. I say im aware of that she says well people always come in and try to get free drinks i ask do you want me to pay for it first. Then she asked are you getting something to eat too. Mind you my girlfriend walked in with me and she's at counter trying to order sandwich. So i asked are you telling me i need to pay for this because im black she says what? I can't hear you so i repeat myself ARE YOU TELLING MEI NEED TO PAY BECAUSE IM BLACK AND YOU ASSUME IM NOT GOING TO PAY FOR IT. She agains says l can't hear you. So at this point i no longer want any food from this establishment i go to pay with my debit card. Then she tells me the card reader wasn't working she fumbles with the cords it still wont work. So i give her $1.90 for my fountain soda which she rang up for $1.86 then fumbles with the pennies in her register before giving me my four cents change which i didn't really care about but after such rudeness give me my four cents and my receipt. And needless to say i will never be visiting this location again and will tell my friends family and thousands of social media followers never give this establishment your business! Rude staff, restaurant almost closed at 8:20. Couldn't get my sub toasted, couldn't get tea, all because they had already taken those amenities down for the day. Staff was absolutely rude. Then acted ok when I asked for the address because the staff new I was making a review. Avoid this particular location after 8. My advice for the proprietor is to get a new staff or don't offer things that you can't deliver. read more

First of all, they move people in and out--fast. Secondly, their people seem to be both trained better and more receptive to serving customers than many of the other stores I've been to. I've become a bit of a regular at this store because I've just GOT to have my Cold Cut Combo when I start thinking about it and they always deliver promptly and with extreme precision. I always use the Subway app when I order and the order has NEVER not been ready when I get there and it is always DEAD on accurate. Not only that, but because I frequent the store, they sometimes meet my son at the door with my sub and chips already in the bag. Very thoughtful, polite and conscientious employees. I won't say that I won't ever go to another Subway, but if I'm within a country mile of this store I will choose it over others hands DOWN. GREAT JOB, guys. And I mean that. You all probably know who I am based on what I've disclosed in this review so at least you know this is an honest, unbiased review. I have been in the restaurant business and will be again soon. Of all of the people that have served me and my family at this store, I would not hesitate to hire a single one of them. Good LORD I've been through some bad employees too.
