    Beef Banh Mi, no "butter-mayo"
    Melony R.

So glad I found a decent Banh Mi spot in the area. The fresh spring rolls are prepackaged, but made fresh daily so they are pretty good. The sandwiches are good, but coming from having fantastic options in Tampa I have to knock them a star for the French bread not being as authentic as I'm accustomed to, and the "butter" (really mayonnaise) needed to be on the sandwich or it's pretty dry. (of course I didn't ruin my sandwich with mayonnaise) The meat wasn't lacking flavor, but it still could use a bit more seasoning and the beef was also a bit dry. Disclaimer: I don't eat pork or mayo so you can take my review with a grain of salt!! They also have a sugarcane drink that you could get with kumquat or Durian. I got the Dorien flavor and it was great. My mom got kumquat and she said it wasn't very flavorful. I'll order a chicken bunny sandwich next time to see if they deserve an extra star or a demotion. Overall, I'm glad that this place exists next to a shopping plaza with more Vietnamese options. I'll definitely be back on one of my trips to Costco when I'm staying in Pensacola.

Not sure how I found about Banh Mi Cafe. All I know is that I went in one day because I couldn't decide where I wanted to go and I thought about this place. When I walked in I noticed how nice the inside of the restaurant was. It had the feeling of old timey diner like ones you see on old tv shows. Anyway I had no clue what to order but the person at the counter told me about the roasted pork sandwich. I was so hungry that he could've told me about anything and I would've ordered that. I did order the roasted pork sandwich and it didn't take long to get ready. I was on my lunch break so I took my sandwich to go. Like I said earlier I was very hungry. I bit into the sandwich and I was very pleased with it. The bread was really delicious and the pork was cooked and seasoned well. I don't really have any complaints with the experience. I would say because I was very hungry I wish chips or a small side came with it. But that's on me.

This sandwich was great the baguette was fresh and crispy on the outside and tender and soft on the inside. I ordered the grilled beef banh mi sandwich. The fresh pickled veggies were perfect and delicious. What I would have loved is if it came with a au jus or maybe a separate vinaigrette on the side. The cafe is nice neat and modern for dining in. The staff is polite and friendly. My order was quickly prepared. I will definitely eat here again. I urge others to give them a try.

If you have never had a Banh Mi before, GO HERE! The beef has amazing seasoning to it and the bread texture is on point. I've never had a banh mi until this place and I can confidently say I will be coming back.

Opened at last. Small and bright, this little place makes delicious Banh Mi, and Vietnamese beverages. They are located next to Pot Au Pho. Their bread is baked in house, and the fillings are super fresh. Midtown Mobile hasn't really had a consistent source of decent banh mi until now. Today I had the grilled pork banh mi, toasted with everything. Holy Moly....so good. And the jalapenos aren't too hot. Just a little warm, which pairs perfectly with the crispy, cool veggies. The employees are very helpful, friendly and happy to answer any questions. And don't be discouraged if the parking lot is crowded. They are fast!! There are a few tables inside, and picnic tables under umbrellas outside. Also, their prices are very reasonable.

It was delicious and made with some of the best bread I've ever tasted. I also ordered a bowl of chili, which was hearty, flavorful, and generously packed with beef. We're not usually soda drinkers, but we decided to try the house-made root beer, served in a frosted glass. It was incredible--rich, refreshing, and unlike any root beer we've had before. The kind gentleman who took our order was genuinely delighted to see how much we enjoyed everything and even surprised us with a second root beer on the house, which was such a thoughtful touch. The little market was another highlight. It was filled with unique, wholesome products, many of which are sourced from the community's farms and workshops around the country and the world. It made for a fun and interesting shopping experience. And whatever you do, don't leave without trying the sweet potato pound cake. It was easily one of the most delicious desserts I've ever had--moist, rich, and completely unforgettable. Between the outstanding food, warm hospitality, and unique atmosphere, this was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!

I arrived at my hotel, I was tired, and just wanted a bite that wasn't a. fast food or b. catered to tourists. Debris delivered and then some. First, it's my type of place: dive bar with tables. Not all over-decorated. The moment you walk in, you feel like you're in a local tavern. No one was at the door but they saw me and just let me take a seat. The menu came over, the table was a little sticky, and they came and wiped it even though I said not to bother, I'm fine. The menu: Drinks are a bit limited. Good selection of bottles, rather limited on tap, but I found a good brew. And for food, you can't go wrong. Obviously, with the name, I chose a Po Boy - the standard Debris with the beef and au jus. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for that elegantly massive hulk. Dripping in its jus, which I still sopped up off my plate. Oh, I could easily eat a second one of those no matter how full I am. Sinfully good. I wish my conference didn't feed me so much, or I would have come back here every night. I did my best to recommend it to everyone else who was looking for lunch or dinner. And I am 100% recommending it to you.

I ordered 2 Kahuna Phillies and a Club Supreme sans mayo. The Supreme Club was recommended and I was told it was a delicious sub. I enjoyed every bite of my Kahuna Philly Large, the bread was soft, airy and so so fresh, juicy all whilst not being soggy even after the 10 minute commute to it's final destination . I accompanied all subs with chips (Ms. Vicky's Jalapeño Chips, spicy if you're a little ****, Salt and Vinegar and a Sun Chip) because texture is necessary, right! I was quite impressed with the sub a matter of fact. The flavors all worked so well together, it was not salty either as most Philly Cheesteaks get, the melt in the cheese and cook on the meat was very well executed. Props to the cooks, wonderful job gents. The flavors in the Philly were spicy, meaty, cheesy and earthy from the fresh wheat bread, the tangyness from the pickled jalapeños cut the richness from the cheese and meat, the sweetness from the red bell peppers and sautéed onions complemented the spicy very well. It's a well thought out sandwich and the portion of the meat and just the whole sub was gratifying at the price point. I was initially awed by the price and after eating the sub, I was left feeling I got value! This sub puts Fire-House and Subway to shame in my book! The bread is quite impressive! I will definitely be returning in a week to have another sub after a high intensity workout.
