If you want something milder in flavor it would be great for you. The secret sauce was wonderful! Both my husband and I loved it. They coated all of the chicken well so you got the sauce with every bite and had extra to dip your fries into. The sauce has a sweet honey like flavor mixed with the sweet spice of gochujang. We couldn't put a pin in the flavor exactly but that's what it tasted like to us. Sauce was definitely a 10/10 for us. Food score: 9/10 Drinks: The strawberry lychee green tea was amazing! We ordered two more to go. You get a great balance of both flavors. The mango lychee lemonade was a bit of a let down for me. The lemonade flavor overpowered the other flavors too much. I'll start with why I dropped a star: food cost is pretty high for what it is, plus a lack of non-spicy selection. That said, the things we liked: tasty food, friendly service, and they've improved the time it takes to get your food since the last time we visited. I love the crunchy fried texture of the boneless chicken. The Original secret sauce is really good: not too spicy for me, but brings some heat. The soy garlic chicken sauce is also good and doesn't have but a little spice. The plain chicken/original golden just doesn't have enough flavor for me. I want to love the kimchi fried rice, but it's just way too spicy for me. Those that love major heat, go for it. I like spicy crawfish and buffalo wings, but this is next level heat, as is their ddeok bokki. You can tell that there is some good flavor there, under all the heat, but I can't get past the hot. Couldn't eat either one after a handful of bites. Still want to return and try more stuff, though. But I've got a family member that is allergic to cayenne and has a systemic inflammatory reaction to spicy foods, and she is always relegated to trying to find something that isn't spicy. Wish it was an option to get the non-chicken dishes without spicy sauces. Pic are from our latest time there. Love watching Kpop on the TVs while eating there. Chicken came out significantly pink. I ignored it at first but with all of these food borne illnesses going around, I got really worried. I called before coming back to the store to show them, hoping it was just a bad batch as I have ordered from here before with no issue or pinkness. They only warned me about a supposed marinade after making me drive all the way back (around 30 min trip for me). Though I'm not sure how there would be a marinade that would leave a sporadic pink hue especially around the bone when I ordered the original chicken, a flavor requiring no spices. The pickled radish was also yummy, but beware if you're not familiar with it, you'll hate the way it smells and stink up the table with it lol my husband was not thrilled when I opened it up. I love all banchan dishes so it was good to me, if you're a k foodie you'll love it too. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the price point. It is waaaaaay too expensive in my opinion. For my meal today which was: two 8 piece wings, two fountain drinks, and a side of pickled radish, it was around $35. To me that's a little too much, $25 would be better. However, I understand inflation is a major issue and supply chain issues are still a concern, overall it's not that big of a deal though for something different and of good quality, so I mean no ill intent by that.
