Glad to finally try bb.q Chicken! I ordered online based on other reviews about the wait times. Ordering online was quick and easy. Once we arrived to the restaurant we went straight to the counter and the order was ready. The dining area was small and quaint. My food was out and delicious even after driving home. I ordered the kimchi fried rice with no egg & cheese. Vegans beware that it has chicken on the rice so you will also need to say no chicken. Overall the food was delicious and flavorful. I can't wait to visit again.
Spotted this Korean fried chicken place & tried it out. It was ehh. The service was good and the food came out fast. The Soy Garlic was very sweet and the garlicky flavor was very potent. The Spicy Galbi was very sweet & not spicy at all. That was a disappointment. On the other hand, the kimchi fried rice was really good. They didn't skimp out on the kimchi at all. Not sure if I would come back to try the other flavors, but it was an experience.
First time here. It's a cute spot. Very simple decor and very simple menu. Nothing to distract you while ordering or enjoying your food. I ordered the Spicy Galbi chicken. It was more sweet than spicy. It was tasty though. They also serve different types of rice bowls, which I might try next time. The chicken was very crunchy, too. I would definitely visit again. It's a cool spot for an afternoon date, lunch with friends, or if you are flying solo. Check them out.
BEST FRIED CHICKEN HANDS DOWN!! THE JUICIEST ANS CRISPIEST CHICKEN WINGS IN THE AREA!! this is a worth it stop on our way to Pensacola. the place had many sittings and the kpop music makes the place very lively! the service was fast and the workers was pleasant! the rice cakes were soooo soft and chewy it was amazin!! i still dream about this place. the chicken doesn't do well reheating as the breading gets soggy so it's best to eat right away for the optimal experience of the crispy chicken.
We ordered the... 1) Kimchi Fried Rice, 2) Boneless Fried chicken with the Secret Sauce, 3) Boneless Fried Chicken- Original, 4) Strawberry/Lychee Green Tea, 5) Mango/Lychee Lemonade Food: The majority of the fried chicken was so moist and tender! There were only a couple of pieces that were a little tougher (equivalent to any other chicken tender you would get at a fast food place). Breading coated the chicken really well so you got some good crunch with each bite. So texture-wise it was all great! Flavor-The original was great for our toddler but was a little bland for us. If you want something milder in flavor it would be great for you. The secret sauce was wonderful! Both my husband and I loved it. They coated all of the chicken well so you got the sauce with every bite and had extra to dip your fries into. The sauce has a sweet honey like flavor mixed with the sweet spice of gochujang. We couldn't put a pin in the flavor exactly but that's what it tasted like to us. Sauce was definitely a 10/10 for us. Food score: 9/10 Drinks: The strawberry lychee green tea was amazing! We ordered two more to go. You get a great balance of both flavors. The mango lychee lemonade was a bit of a let down for me. The lemonade flavor overpowered the other flavors too much. FYI: Their specialty drinks are not refillable but they do have fountain options (I assume these are refillable but just ask) Drink score: 8/10 Service: There are options! There is a self serve kiosk at the front, or you can talk to an employee to order or you can scan the barcode on the table. Very reminiscent of the Seoul airport when you order from the food court. After you order they deliver your food and beverages and you clean up after yourself. They have food boats and to go containers on the front counter so you can grab what you need to pack up left overs or split servings at your table. Service score: 9/10 Ambience: It was very clean from what I saw. There are TVs everywhere playing K-pop music shows and videos as well as a couple of American shows. They also had some K-pop bangers playing overhead. So definitely nice if you like to listen to Korean music. The music isn't playing so loud you can't hear the people sitting at your table which is nice as well. Ambience score: 10/10 Overall impression and score: 9/10 We will definitely go back!
For Mobile, AL. It's an ok introduction to Korean fried chicken. The sauces are ok, not great and the service is you get a number and we run your food when it's ready. You self serve yourself the rest, utensils, condiments. They also charge you for sauce on the side if you order a sauce chicken but want the sauce in the side . It's a fast casual, quick service restaurant with seating for about 20 or so guests. They are a chain restaurant too.
Oof. Not great. Its flavors fall short but the boneless wings taste like square chicken deep fried once for too long. We got the honey garlic and its lack luster flavor falls short, a lot. Service was great, you go to the counter and place order. The worker was sweet and knowledgeable about the chicken. Chicken took about 20 min to make which is not too bad. Also the chicken it self tasted soapy and half were like jerky and the other half were like soapy water. Restaurant was clean, a little noisy but nothing too bad. Honestly if the food tasted good it wouldn't be that bad, a little over priced. But man that chicken was just awful. Maybe it's just the boneless wings that are so poorly made and meats not great. But we won't try again to confirm because the sauce was just bad. This is not Korean chicken, not Korean flavored or fried. And should just be called Chicken place with mediocre chicken. WET CHICKEN. No crunch. Square pieces. Try some where else.

I'll start with why I dropped a star: food cost is pretty high for what it is, plus a lack of non-spicy selection. That said, the things we liked: tasty food, friendly service, and they've improved the time it takes to get your food since the last time we visited. I love the crunchy fried texture of the boneless chicken. The Original secret sauce is really good: not too spicy for me, but brings some heat. The soy garlic chicken sauce is also good and doesn't have but a little spice. The plain chicken/original golden just doesn't have enough flavor for me. I want to love the kimchi fried rice, but it's just way too spicy for me. Those that love major heat, go for it. I like spicy crawfish and buffalo wings, but this is next level heat, as is their ddeok bokki. You can tell that there is some good flavor there, under all the heat, but I can't get past the hot. Couldn't eat either one after a handful of bites. Still want to return and try more stuff, though. But I've got a family member that is allergic to cayenne and has a systemic inflammatory reaction to spicy foods, and she is always relegated to trying to find something that isn't spicy. Wish it was an option to get the non-chicken dishes without spicy sauces. Pic are from our latest time there. Love watching Kpop on the TVs while eating there. We need Korean food in the area, hope it stays around.
I went here today while I was out running errands and I loved it. Service was good, I ordered at the kiosk which I loved having that option. The lady working the register was kind and helpful to everyone who came in and was kind when bringing me my food. The chicken wings were very crispy and large pieces and the sauce I got was super good, I had never had that type of flavor before and I loved trying new things. Music wasn't too loud or too low. I returned to bb.q Chicken. The first time I ate from here I had the kimchi fried rice. That experience was great until my bowl I was eating from fell off the table. Luckily that didn't happen this time. I knew from the very start of the night I wanted to eat some wings. The honey garlic wings looked appealing from the moment I saw them. I ordered the wings and added some fries as well. The notification said my wait would be 20+ minutes. I decided to pick up my order as soon as I made the order. When I got there my food was ready with time to spare. I started with the fries and they were not bad at all. They were longer cut fries. The wings looked amazing when I opened the box. They were equally delicious when I tasted them. The crunch was perfect. I would definitely recommend bb.q. read more

People really hyped this place up. This place is good, they have a good variety of sauces to choose from. The wings are tasty, a bit pricey but pretty good. The Kim Chi rice was okay. I feel like it needs more Kim Chi, more veggies. If you're in the area, check it out for yourself. read more

A taste of home in Mobile! The service during lunch on Saturday was Great! They had 3 people up front ready to help. The ambiance is Great too. All the popular K-pop hits playing, not too loud but perfect enjoyment level. The chicken is divine. The flavors are like a punch in the face, just like I like it. Very authentic KFC. So glad to have something new in Mobile and these wings are big!! I think it was worth the price because they are very filling. Gangnam style and honey garlic were my favorite sauces on the wings. Kimchi fried rice is pretty good, and you have the option to add cheese for $2 additional. As for service, the employees were super friendly. Keep in mind, it is a small shop so there are limited tables. But I'll definitely go back to try more flavors! read more

Pretty good! Been wanting to try this place out since it opened, it's nice to finally see some food diversity coming to Mobile. I'm a huge lover of Korean food so I'm familiar with Korean fried chicken, it's absolutely delightful, soooo crunchy and flavorful and lemme tell ya this did not disappoint for sure. Next time I intend to try the tteokbokki, today I got spicy galbi wings and a side of pickled radish, my husband got the secret sauce wings. The wings were great, super fresh and hot, flavor was wonderful and refreshing. The pickled radish was also yummy, but beware if you're not familiar with it, you'll hate the way it smells and stink up the table with it lol my husband was not thrilled when I opened it up. I love all banchan dishes so it was good to me, if you're a k foodie you'll love it too. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the price point. It is waaaaaay too expensive in my opinion. For my meal today which was: two 8 piece wings, two fountain drinks, and a side of pickled radish, it was around $35. To me that's a little too much, $25 would be better. However, I understand inflation is a major issue and supply chain issues are still a concern, overall it's not that big of a deal though for something different and of good quality, so I mean no ill intent by that. Don't let the prices deter you, go check it out. I'll definitely be going back! read more
