I want to love Raising Cane's. It's always busy! The food was hot and fresh. The chicken was moist and tender but underseasoned. It lacked flavor. I like the Cane's Sauce and the Honey mustard they really make the meal. I would like the toast better if it had butter or more butter. The fresh lemonade was not flavorful at all but it got the job done! Customer service was good and the food didn't take long ! Another visit to Cane's as requested by the kiddos. There was a young man standing in the drive thru taking orders which was different to I am used to or cared to have as he was in all long clothes and a hoodie that made him appear prime to faint. The smiling face of the young lady who handed over the food was warm and pleasant. All areas from my viewpoint were clean and well kept. I wasn't planning on reviewing this place because I've been to a ton of Canes but I had to share what an amazing experience we had here! We were traveling from Florida and my nephew got sick while eating (unrelated to the food but delayed car sickness) he threw up on his food so we had to throw it away and he went to the bathroom to throw up more. The manager went above and beyond for us, giving my nephew a water bottle and a new kids meal. He was so kind and came up to us making sure it wasn't his food that caused it and without asking made a whole new kids meal for us to take to-go. Historical fan of Cains and usually prefer it over other chicken finger chains. However.... The last 6 months I have seen a gradual downhill slide in non chicken items. French fries under cooked and soggy. Ketchup machine not working and spraying ketchup like it was under air pressure. Flat fountain drinks. I pointed out to manager and they did nothing. So we really love Canes chicken and would love for them to come to Florida but unfortunately this visit was a fail. Not because the chicken was bad, it was delicious, but they gave us the wrong order. We ordered the Caniac Combo to split because we felt that was plenty after a long ride. We grabbed the meal before even checking into the hotel room. Ordinarily I always check my bag before leaving a drive thru, this time that was my fail. I am not sure who's meal we received but it was definitely not the Caniac Combo. Only 4 pieces of chicken and it was supposed to be 6 pieces. Have tried all the chicken finger places (except for Foosackly's) and I think Canes has the very best chicken fingers. Hot, moist and seasoned with a light batter, they are almost perfect! The fries are crinkle cuts (typically not my personal favorite) but these are really good and cooked to perfection. Of the dipping sauces I think Canes house sauce is the best in this realm. Their Lemonade is fantastic too. The negatives...... 1 While I love the dipping sauce, they do not offer any other sauces. One sauce fits all. Fine for my wife and I. Not so much for my kids who like many sauces. 2 The service is very good BUT we arrived early (but well within operating hours) and the staff seemed like we were interrupting their good time as we broke up their "bull session!" 3 A staff member was flopped out over a table ready for nap time in the dining area.....a bit of a turn off. We have had Zaxby's, Guthrie's, Super Chix and Slim Chickens (our #2....very good) and Canes chicken fingers are the best. My kids think Foosackly's is better but only because of the many dipping sauce options; not because the chicken is better. My experience this time was so much better! The food was as good as I remember when I worked there. These people had a line out the door and they were on point. The chicken is super juicy, super tender, flavorful, crispy, and basically perfect. Did I mention the sauce? Canes sauce is the most superb chicken tender condiment I've ever had, and I dream about it in my sleep. They only main differentiator on the menu is the number of fingers you order. In Colorado this place seemed to have a cult following and always had a line so figured I would have to check it out when I only saw one car in the drive thru. Service was fast (despite the car in front of me super confused and undecided on what to order). The menu is very limited, which honestly is a bit refreshing. I had the #1 combo which is 4 strips, coleslaw, fries, and a piece of Texas toast. The chicken is good but somewhat small servings. The dipping sauce is good but not sure why the crazy lines at other locations. I still think Chic Fil A and Zaxby's offer a better option, but Cane's is definitely ok in my book. read more

Pretty similar to Guthrie's but not as good but still is good. It's much better than Foosackly's. Chicken fingers were nice and hot. Fries were an ok temp, could've stood to been hotter/fresher. I got double fries instead of slaw. I will say I had a nice amount of fries. Also, the bread was soggy and had no type of flavor on it but I don't eat it anyway so it didn't bother me. We always stop at this Raising Cane's on road trips down I-65 South. I know Cane's has exploded in popularity over past twenty years and now they're all over the country, but for me they will always be a Baton Rouge thing. Their original Highland Road location near LSU was the hangout. Once, eight of my friends piled into my hatchback--with one in the trunk--because no one wanted to be left behind on the run to Cane's. When we reach this location we know we're almost back home. They don't have Cane's in Atlanta (I think I know why...but STILL!) so if we get to Mobile during business hours, we will be hitting the drive through. Actually, we make a quick pit stop inside for the restrooms first. They are the cleanest we've found along the way...consistently very clean and well-stocked. Nothing else in fast food nation can touch their chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas Toast and lemonade. I always order the 3 Finger Combo: Chicken fingers with Cane's sauce - I've never experienced any what-part-of-the-chicken-is-this anxiety since Cane's only uses breast meat. When I bite into a finger, I see thick strands of real chicken. The coating is crisp without being greasy and the meat is juicy. They never freeze their tenders either. And the sauce (kissing fingertips gesture) MUAH! Texas Toast - Their thick, sesame seed topped bricks are brushed with butter and sprinkled with garlic salt... MMMMM good! French Fries -- I always sub a second brick of Texas Toast for the fries. It's worth getting a second portion because the bread is so good. Lemonade - Sweet, tart and made with crunch ice...love it! Drove from Fort Walton Beach Florida for some Cane's. It never disappoints and is always on point! The chicken is so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The sauce is the best I've ever had. You can even buy a big thing of sauce to bring home. I'm from Louisiana, where Cane's was started. I love that the chicken is actually chicken tenders and not processed chicken byproducts and that it's always hot and juicy. It's also fairly inexpensive - I can eat here for about $8. It's fried chicken tender meals. They don't have salads or any healthier choices. The service is fast and friendly - I get through the drive thru in a matter of minutes. I love that the guy who started the place named it after his dog, Cane. I also love that there's an old pic of Jimmy Buffett's elementary school class hanging on the wall inside the restaurant.
