We came all the way from California and were excited to visit because this has always been one of the restaurants we look forward to whenever we're in Alabama. The food is excellent, which makes this review even more disappointing to write. Unfortunately, the customer service has been consistently poor. During this visit, the staff seemed uninterested, lacked any sense of urgency, and there didn't appear to be any leadership on the floor. I'm not sure who the manager on duty was, but it didn't seem like anyone was holding the team accountable. The overall impression was that employees were simply there to get through their shift rather than provide a great customer experience. This wasn't an isolated incident. Last year, we waited in the drive-thru for over 20 minutes before deciding to come inside the restaurant. There was no acknowledgment of the delay or apology for the inconvenience, which made the experience even more frustrating. We gave the restaurant another chance this year because we remembered how much we loved the food. Sadly, this visit left us just as disappointed. Great food can only make up for so much when the service is consistently lacking. I genuinely hope management addresses these issues because this restaurant has so much potential. Bojangles is honestly becoming a joke. Four cars sat in the drive-thru for over 15 minutes with absolutely no acknowledgment whatsoever. We finally had to put the car in reverse and back out because nobody ever took our order or even spoke to us. I went inside because I was picking up breakfast for my coworkers, only to be told the drive-thru "was working," but they were too busy with online/to-go orders to take drive-thru orders. If that's the case, at least acknowledge the customers sitting there waiting. A simple "Sorry, we're delayed" would have gone a long way. On top of that, the employees were not friendly at all and incredibly slow. Standing inside watching them, nobody even seemed to be making food. Everyone was just kind of wandering around looking at each other in slow motion while customers waited. The lack of urgency, communication, and customer service was honestly unbelievable. My husband's sandwich was fried and the mayo was THIIIIICK. He walked back in to get the issue corrected and was met with a combative attitude. I'M in buscuit heaven!! I thoughtI i had tasted the best when I went to Bob's, but Bojangles gives Bobs a run for its money! The biscuit was full, fluffy homemade goodness. My husband and myself got a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit and when I first saw it, I thought it was flat but I was wrong. I did not like the paper thin scrambled eggs that were in the sandwich so I made a fried egg when I got home and slapped that sucker onit and it made the sandwich. Perfect.! my husband had ordered the meal so he got the hash browns, which were just the perfect little circle hashbrowns and delicious. The service was yet again, professional with very nice employees that seem to know what customer service is. The building that they are in, it's almost like one of those tucked away restaurants that are so small You know they're good . Let me tell you something, that biscuit is fantastic. Yep the biscuit, then you pair it with a spicy chicken patty, two words - Yummy Yum. Oh, I can't forget the Booberry. It's a very good sweet biscuit with icing. It's under the dessert menu. I saved it for lunch with my salad. It was delicious. The service was quick, staff friendly, biscuits fresh. Just swinging by to pick up a couple of 20 piece boxes of chicken to bring back to TN. I love me some Bojangles and my son really loves him some Bo chicken!!!! My son got hooked on Bojangles from the visits to my folks in NC over the years. Since they passed away and unfortunately he can't get his Bo fix anywhere near Memphis. So it's only when traveling through Memphis or beyond that we can grab some of that uniquely Bo chicken for him but I must admit I really dig me some Bojangles too. I am psyched that we can grab some in Mobile now and I just discovered that there's now one open in Pensacola which is great because it's 15+ minutes closer to us in Gulf Shores. Yey! But anyway it's obvious that I'm a Bojangles fan and before dropping $50 on some to boxes yesterday I stopped in for some immediate satisfaction. This place is nice and close to I-65 (exit 4) and it's easy access with plenty of parking so getting there is easy. Inside is all new and shiny and it's spacious and tastefully Bojangles plus it is exceptionally clean and comfy. They've got all the utensils, condiments easily accessible with plenty of seating for two and family sizes as well. Let's talk friendly, I was so happy that the lady that welcomed was very bright and smiling with a very sweet personality. She was not only on the ball with her Bo knowledge but she seemed genuinely focused on me and my needs, actually was interested and tickled with my family history concerning Bojangles. While having great people out front at any restaurant or fast food place isn't of the utmost concern it absolutely makes a big difference if I'm debating between Chick Fil-A or Church's chicken and if you've been to those two places around the Memphos area you should know that it's night and day, but I digress. For the eats, I had some Bo wings & a breast with biscuit, dirty rice and slaw then treated myself to something new there the Boo biscuit which was a fresh out of the oven hot biscuit infused with juicy blueberries and slathered with some icing. Everything was really damn tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed my whole meal. Everything was really fresh and packed with flavor plus pushing some memories buttons was a really nice bonus. They put all of my many boxes if chicken in this enormous cardboard Bo box and everything else they double bagged for me because they remembered that everything was going on a long roadtrip and the even packed a bag full of hot sauce and a bunch if honey to go with those twenty biscuits. Bojangles is the recipient of my of my rare FIVE STAR ratings for a chain+fast food place because the location, accedibilty, staff, interior and food were definitely five star. I have been to Bojangles several times. The food is always good. The chicken supremes are good and you can get them all day. The. breakfast Biscuits are great too. My brother is a big fan of the Cajun fillet biscuit. My mom loved the 3 wing dinner and Cajun rice. Mr. Patel has also been very gracious and works with our school to provide meals for teachers. I have never had a bad experience at this location and highly recommend to anyone who wants good biscuits, good chicken, and good sides. read more

Anyone remember the old Bojangles jingle from back in the day? We had a Bojangles in Memphis when I was a kid and I only remember going once, but I remember everyone singing the jingle. I was happy to see one opening in Mobile, but I thought it was gutsy of them putting a fast food chicken restaurant right across the street from the master of all fast food chicken restaurants. Anyway, I think they'll do just fine. I stopped in one night on my way home from work and picked up an 8 piece tailgate box. That came with 8 pieces of chicken (2 breasts, 2 wings, 2 thighs, 2 legs), two large sides, 4 biscuits and a half gallon of sweet tea. That's enough to feed 4 people for only about $22. The chicken, after making the 30 minute drive across the Bay, was still crispy. The sides were still hot and delicious. The dirty rice was fresh, as were the biscuits. I enjoyed it so much, I went back for lunch Friday and got a box of chicken tenders with mashed potatoes and gravy and a drink for about $7. Again, hot and fresh. I have to admit, I love they way they do fried chicken. I think they'll be just fine across the street from the superstars of fast food chicken because it's a different kind of chicken. They do need to speed up the service just a tad, but the employees are extremely friendly and cheerful. Now I'm hoping they open once across the Bay. read more

The mac and cheese I got as a side was good (not Kraft in a box!), and my Cajun club sandwich had a little spice, but it wasn't overwhelming at all. My husband described the chicken on the bone as having a good flavor, but not spicy. We were pleased, and would stop here again when we're passing through town. Ian and I have been fans of Bojangle's almost since he was born. We stopped at one in North Carolina when I was in the Army and stationed in Virginia. One of his first solid foods was their fries and it stuck with him. Over the years we've stopped and enjoyed the food whenever we are traveling and see a "Bo". 18 long years later we finally have a location within minutes of our home. Ian had been stalking the location regularly and noticed the sign announcing the soft open this morning at 6am. We arrived at 530 and were let in around 545. Another customer that was savvy to Bo was waiting at the door when we arrived and he was the lucky 1st Customer. Nonetheless, Ian was 2nd and I was 3rd. Mr. Sonny Patel (Manager) was gracious enough to reward us with a free breakfast and promise of a gift card for our Early Bird status. We both got the Cajun Chicken Filet biscuit with the equally tasty Cajun Fries. The food is VERY VERY GOOD and worthy of slapping someone's momma in case yours isn't with you. There's a window just behind the cashier where you can watch them making the biscuits by hand, not removing them from a box that they just took out of the freezer. The customer service was very welcoming and eager to please even at 6am. The coffee was flavorful and just the right temp so that you aren't scalded. The sweet tea was perfect and not overly sweet. You order to the far right at one of two cashiers, be prepared with you fixins' when you order however you can see them to the left. Nice bar with usb chargers in wall next to window however stools are tall so it's not meant for anyone very tall. I went by about 1pm and it still had a nice lunch crowd. read more
