Refused to make a milkshake at 8:55 pm on a weekday night. Left and went to Burger King; got what I wanted and saved money.

For nearly $20, I expected a lot better. A little burger, little fries, and a regular drink should not cost that much, especially when the experience is this disappointing. To make matters worse, they weren't even serving milkshakes. When my order came out, the fries had been dumped directly on top of my burger, so trying to get the burger out of the bag without burning myself was a challenge. It felt sloppy and careless. Five Guys charges premium prices, but this visit felt far from a premium experience. This is the one in Theodore by the Lowe's. Insanely expensive but you already know that. The attitude is unbelievably bad. The cashier doesn't greet you or ask can she help you. I had a Bacon Cheeseburger and a Small order of fries. The Burger and fries were excellent. The service was very friendly and only a short wait. The cashier was so very friendly and helpful I left a $5 tip on my $10 order. She even noticed my Viet Nam Veteran's hat a thanked me for my service. i got charged 23$ but received a ticket for 2.08$ and didn't get the reciept for the other 21$ nor does the ticket show my cards i paid with in the receipt. the ticket was made by a friend and it says no mushrooms but is soaked with them all over it, tried calling 2 different numbers and nobody is answering the phone. read more

Wanted a burger and with Whataburger embracing the latest Covid hysteria and having drive thru only we opted for Five Guys, since they are notoriously slow at drive thru. Ordered 2 small cheeseburgers, medium Cajun style fries, and two drinks. Had to get regular size drinks as no large cups available. Kaitlyn (according to the receipt) was polite and pleasant as she took our order. Burgers were fresh and hot as always, Cajun fries were plentiful and over seasoned (I didn't think that was possible, but it is). A little taken back by the $25 for the lunch, but prices are posted and I do have that Mobile County Public School diploma, so I could have added it up and not been surprised. We elected to eat in since we had the little drink cups and I could foresee multiple refills with the mounds of salty fries. It also allows me to snack on those wonderful roasted peanuts. Walked up and asked Kaitlyn (again, according to the receipt, I hope that's really her name) for some napkins, she shyly smiled and handed me several paper towels off the roll in the cooking area, while apologizing sheepishly for the absence of napkins. Not sure who orders the paper products, but I am guessing they called in sick this week, cups and napkins are typically available in restaurants. This was just plain bad planning on someone's part. One of four employees was wearing a mask, if that bothers you. I can't really complain because the complete lack of consistency in Covid rules and regulations has left all of us confused, and I am just irritated at this point. I got the shot, let me eat in peace. Five Guys food was as always, the best in the fast food biz, the absence of cups and napkins was weird, don't they sell paper napkins across the street at WalMart? Just sayin' that's not really a luxury when you sell juicy burgers, and surely SOMEONE could grab a twenty from the register and go get some napkins, if the owner has an issue with that he/she/they could climb down from the ivory tower and drive their ass on down and bring some to the restaurant. With as many locations as in Mobile, at least one location should have a few to loan out. read more

What a friendly welcome! When ordering burgers please note the lil burger is a single patty but full size. You can choose from a long list of "fixin's" to adorn your burger between the sesame seed buns. Fries are hand cut. I suggest you get Cajun seasoning on the side should you choose it. Went to buy hamburgers but got no service. Walked in and no one was behind food counter two employees were outside talking when I walked in was acknowledged by neither. Stood inside for ten to twelve minutes still no one came. Finally left asked the person outside was anyone working. She stated " she ain't in there" but she didn't ask if she could help and continued her conversation . I've dined at 5-Guys locations in many states, for many years. My review is for THIS location from the Fall of 2020 until this Spring in 2021. 1) The restaurant is always clean and they attend to the dining room and restrooms as much as possible, frequently. There are usually 2 - 4 employees and the manager and they frequently walk the floor and clean, straighten up. 2) They are always friendly and courteous. I've never seen anyone not satisfied with the service while there. No one has had to come back to have their order corrected. Anything any customer asks is met with w hearty YES SIR or YES MAAM and they request attended to at once. 3) The manager (Gwen) is on her game and has a great crew, they all work together very well and get along. There's no sign of any strife and they are always in a good mood no matter the time of day or night I visit. 4) I've seen this crew tackle seemingly impossible and large To-To orders, sudden influx of customers forming a line past the door and they crank out the orders with utmost professionalism. I've orded for dine-in just before closing and they were A-OK with it and not a complaint. 5) The food has always been 100% spot on! No matter how I ask for things to be done, they'll do it and do it correctly. This never happens with any other burger chain restaurants. The reason it takes a few minutes to get an order is because EVERY order is made on demand from scratch. The patties are cooked before your eyes and the fries are always hot and freshy-fresh. 6) I really like this crew and I'll drive across Mobile to dine at this location because I know in advance that I'm going to get quality of service and food I've come to expect. I dunno what things were like there back in 2018 or 2019 but I attest that now this place ROCKS and I'm putting them on my xmas list. read more

If I could give no stars that would be better. The food was fine, the service ruined it. We arrived and they were cleaning the doors. Our group was waiting outside for her to finish it. The girl swung the door open and hit my little boy in the head with the handle and making his toe bleed pretty well. Honestly it wasn't on purpose. We knew that. However, when you injure someone it's polite to open the door and apologize, especially when they're bawling. When we got in and calmed him we were given a half hearted apology, then another employee gave us a very sarcastic smug smile when we picked our food. Then very obviously talked about us. I was super annoyed that not one employee, including the manager who walked to the door when it happened, ever asked how he was. No one attempted to help us with ice or anything. It's just disappointing when someone hurts a 2 year old and not one employee shows a bit of concern. I won't knock the food. They were out of their world famous idaho potato spud fries at 730 pm and the tables were a mess. My girlfriend sat on what we think was mayonnaise on one of the chairs. They make a good burger but the price is too high. Everything is ala cart. So burger ....7 bucks. Fries 2.19... drink 1.99...so for a burger fries and a drink you are at 10/11 bucks. Not worth it to me. You can go to a sit down place at that price. Now granted my fam normally splits the fries as you do get a lot of fries but even kids burger or hot dogs are 3/4 bucks each with no drink or fries. I say pass on 5 guys. read more

I have always been a fan of Five Guys, but this location is the best. The burgers are fresh and the staff was incredibly friendly. I have had issues at other Five Guys with the burger being a little too greasy, but this one was perfect. I got the Little Bacon Cheeseburger and it was the perfect size. The fries were crispy and delicious. I did prefer the regular fries over the Cajun ones. The Cajun fries were too salty and heavy on the chili powder. read more
