We eat only two meals at our house. Our children, away at college, my lady and I have learned that we need one good sized mid-day meal, and one smaller meal later in the evening, usually after 5:00 PM, but before 7:00 PM. It has also become our practice that I prepare the mid-day meal, and she prepares our supper in the evening after work. I mention this fact because, at least once a month, she will find herself exhausted by work, and not in the mood to prepare supper. In these situations, she usually turn to Foosackly's on Schillingers Rd. I never object to this because we have never had a bad Foo Salad made at this location. The chicken tenders have always been fried to perfection and the salad has always been fresh and crisp. Their vinaigrette, our preferred dressing, is always fresh and tasty. We seldom dine inside the restaurant, choosing instead to order through the drive through, which is always busy, but only takes a short time from order to pick up. Had to do a 5-star review for a 5 star experience. I have gone to foo's for a while now but my dad was in town and I wanted to take him (he's never been before). Food was great, service was great, and atmosphere was great. As soon as we walked in we were greeted, anytime we needed a re-fill our waitress was on it. My dad was super impressed with the food and especially with our waitress Kennedi. She was amazing. As soon as she knew it was his first time visiting she made great recommendations on the food selections as well as sauce selections and was super enthusiastic about his first experience at Foosackly's. They knew what they were doing when they hired Kennedi. She is very welcoming, kind, and enthusiastic about the Foosackly's brand. She never stopped walking around and caring for customers. It's one heck of a fast food joint y'all. I stumbled upon the wonder of all things Foosackly's by accident, but (now a few trips in) boy am I glad I did! At first I thought, "Oh, I get it! It's Mobile's version of Raising Cane's!" ... but it's better! MUCH BETTER. Hence the 5 star rating! Observations: The staff is uber, extra, consistently kind and helpful! Like, kind enough to make it a point to comment on. Like, would put you in the mind of service at Chick-Fil-a-- kind! The food quality is great! The chicken has a nice flavor, and ALWAYS comes out fresh, made to order, and piping hot. (Seriously. Be careful not to dive in immediately like I did on my first visit, it's really hot!) I've since learned to start with the fries. You've been warned. No trash bins in the dining area. The staff clears the table for you (another nod to their service), and the place is clean. You won't find messes left on tables throughout the restaurant. They're on top of their game. They serve their ice. This was a first, and quite interesting to me. I love Foosackly's. It is hands down THE BEST fast food chicken tenders you will ever get. It is not overpriced like other chicken food chains and they offer you a ton of food. I remember eating these tenders and wishing I had more. After finishing the meal I was still in deep thought about the tenders, can't say I do that often. The fries are extremely crispy and seasoned well. For the sauces, I recommend the foo sauce, barbeque, and ranch! The sauces paired nicely with both my tenders and fries. The toast was not heavy, but it was light, crunchy and retained all the buttery goodness of a typical texas toast.
