Our go to when going to Dalphin Island. Freshly baked pastries and HUGE sandwiches. Cinnamon roll smell hits you the minute you walk in. Yeast... cinnamon and sugar!!! The sandwiches can be ordered at any time. We usually take them to go for our lunch. They are large and you pick exactly what you want on it. They serve hot breakfast so. Sundays only.

This was a busy, quaint local bakery with friendly staff. We tried two different turnovers, bacon wraps and coffee-all tasty. We wanted to stop back by to try the cinnamon rolls, but didn't make it before we left town. Hope to be back!

We ate here and got coffee while we stayed on vacation at Dauphin Island! The Maple spice coffee delicious! Check this place out while you're in town! Breakfast options are awesome!

You need these pastries in your life right now! They were so delicious and served warm and gooey. We ate on the cute and quaint patio and they brought our drinks out for us since they were still being made when we got our food.

Lighthouse bakery is the best on the island hands down. The line will look long, but they'll get ya in and out quick. We had 2 groups with us and waited no more than 10 minutes to order and less than 5 for our food. Cinnamon Roll - could easily feed two folks Hazelnut/Chocolate turnover - 10/10 3 egg omelet - got it with all the veggies/jalapeños and we ate it for 2 days

Chocolate chip cookie. Pretty good size and you get 3 in an order. Standard but great.

Perfection at the beach. Worth every calorie. Our group stopped in before the beach and ordered a smorgasbord of things. The line looked long, but it wasn't at all. They know what they're doing. I had a turkey croissant sandwich with Munster cheese and all the fixins. You think it's just a turkey sandwich, but it was so good. The croissant is fabulous and the portion gigantic. Also got the chocolate chip cookie (comes with 3 cookies) - a standard cookie but very great - and a blueberry danish. As other reviewers have said, the danish was amazing. It's almost like it's base is a cheese bagel - it's so soft and chewy and flavorful. My mom is still raving about it. She said it's one of the best desserts she's ever eaten. The rest of the group got cinnamon rolls too. They raves about them plus they're huge. It was certainly a big meal on the way to the beach, but it was worth it. The restaurant itself is pretty small so plan to grab it to go. The bathrooms are very clean, too - bonus!

The only place open on the island with coffee! A very quaint place with lots of southern charm, without over doing it Was pretty busy when we arrived, but they served us our coffees quickly. Highly recommend. Their pastries look Devine!

Not at all Keto friendly hahaha and that's completely fine with me

It's a neat place for breakfast. I'll eat there again when I come back. The line was long but we got through it quickly.

Can someone tell me what types of coffee drinks they serve? I can't find a menu. Thanks! The pastries look amazing!

They sell lattes, black coffee, frappacinos, and I believe macchiatos. I got the latte each day, and it was very good.

What it lacks in heat (not very spicy), it more than makes up for in shellfish meat! The bisque is as good as any I've ever had. Pretty and tasty drinks. They have a special Moonwalker that sounds like an insulin coma in a glass and it's probably worth it. Locals gather at the bar in the afternoon and evening. They're dog-friendly and have water bowls on the patios. This looks like the place to catch the game, get updates on the local gossip, find out what is being built a few blocks away, and what's biting 1 miles off shore. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was consistently delicious. Prices are island prices, a little higher to account for the great location. A basket of shrimp and oysters, seared scallops, po boys and burgers, pasta, oysters on the half shell, and some of the sweetest and best hush puppies I've ever had.

Seafood definitely seems fresh and local, my wife loved her grilled shrimp po-boy and I got a seafood platter with fried shrimp, fish, and oysters that were perfectly seasoned and tasty. We were very happy with everything, and liked that the shrimp were peeled & deveined which we prefer but was unusual to find when we lived in New Orleans. Service was good, drink options sufficient, and the top level has a pretty good view even if you're not seated on the window. We typically cook on Dauphin Island for various reasons including usually travelling with a dog, but Pirates is a gem definitely worth visiting on any visit to Dauphin Island. Bravo!

Imho, they were seating faster than each waitress could keep up and it affected our service for sure. They were slammed, so I left the 4th star. We ordered eveything at once as we were there a while before our waitress Tanya made it over. Beer / wine, gumbo, fried fish dinner with baked potato and fried okra, she had the ahi tuna with sauteed spinach. We finished with cheesecake and a berry sauce. Everything was tasty, I had a fish filet and enough okra for another meal. The view, makes this place, the building architecture, if you like that, I do, and the food is consistently tasty. It was busy, but most places are at this time. We asked if we could sit at the bar so tables were open for families, etc. Jessie, our server from the previous night was off, but we had a friendly encounter with a different lady and ordered some drinks while we looked over the menu. We ordered raw oysters and those came out in fairly good time. They were great too! The reason for my 3 star review was after waiting an hour and noticing that tables that came in after us were paying their bills, I went out to the main restaurant area to look our server to see if she "forgot" us. I was sure to be pleasant and smiled at her and asked if our food would be coming soon? Her response was You had your food broiled and it takes longer. Did you think just because you sat at the bar toys get served faster? I was speechless. I was so confused by her rude attitude that just said, "Of course not. I was just checking." I went back to the bar and told my husband what she said and he couldn't believe it either. After about 10 minutes or so, our food appeared. She made some kind of excuse that she was "just cussed out " for forgetting folks in the lobby area. Then she gave us two beers on her. We were honestly just shocked by the entire situation and ate our food and left. My advice here is this place may be bipolar. You never know what you are going to get from one day to the next.
