Pecan cinnamon roll, cinnamon rolls, pigs in a blanket, and much more.

Lighthouse Bakery - Dauphin Island, AL This place is absolutely worth the early wake-up! We tried the chocolate croissant, cinnamon roll, and pecan cinnamon roll -- all three were incredible. Flaky, fresh, and perfectly sweet without being over the top. We arrived right at opening (6:30 a.m.) and walked right in, but by 9:30 there were about 30 people in line -- so definitely come early if you can. The staff was friendly, polite, and super efficient, even with the growing crowd. There's also a little "day-old" discounted section near the door, which is a great find if you want to grab a few extra treats to take home. Overall, a must-stop on Dauphin Island -- cozy, delicious, and full of charm.

Our go to when going to Dalphin Island. Freshly baked pastries and HUGE sandwiches. Cinnamon roll smell hits you the minute you walk in. Yeast... cinnamon and sugar!!! The sandwiches can be ordered at any time. We usually take them to go for our lunch. They are large and you pick exactly what you want on it. They serve hot breakfast so. Sundays only.

This was a busy, quaint local bakery with friendly staff. We tried two different turnovers, bacon wraps and coffee-all tasty. We wanted to stop back by to try the cinnamon rolls, but didn't make it before we left town. Hope to be back!

We ate here and got coffee while we stayed on vacation at Dauphin Island! The Maple spice coffee delicious! Check this place out while you're in town! Breakfast options are awesome!

You need these pastries in your life right now! They were so delicious and served warm and gooey. We ate on the cute and quaint patio and they brought our drinks out for us since they were still being made when we got our food.

It's a neat place for breakfast. I'll eat there again when I come back. The line was long but we got through it quickly.

The cafe has always been packed when we visit, so be prepared to wait! The coffee and pastries were good though.

Can someone tell me what types of coffee drinks they serve? I can't find a menu. Thanks! The pastries look amazing!

They sell lattes, black coffee, frappacinos, and I believe macchiatos. I got the latte each day, and it was very good.

What it lacks in heat (not very spicy), it more than makes up for in shellfish meat! The bisque is as good as any I've ever had. Pretty and tasty drinks. They have a special Moonwalker that sounds like an insulin coma in a glass and it's probably worth it. Locals gather at the bar in the afternoon and evening. They're dog-friendly and have water bowls on the patios. This looks like the place to catch the game, get updates on the local gossip, find out what is being built a few blocks away, and what's biting 1 miles off shore. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was consistently delicious. Prices are island prices, a little higher to account for the great location. A basket of shrimp and oysters, seared scallops, po boys and burgers, pasta, oysters on the half shell, and some of the sweetest and best hush puppies I've ever had.

I would recommend the outside back bar. Inside restaurant area is a little cramped but that is where they had the live music playing. Even though it was busy both times we visited, the staff was friendly and provided attentive service!

Seafood definitely seems fresh and local, my wife loved her grilled shrimp po-boy and I got a seafood platter with fried shrimp, fish, and oysters that were perfectly seasoned and tasty. We were very happy with everything, and liked that the shrimp were peeled & deveined which we prefer but was unusual to find when we lived in New Orleans. Service was good, drink options sufficient, and the top level has a pretty good view even if you're not seated on the window. We typically cook on Dauphin Island for various reasons including usually travelling with a dog, but Pirates is a gem definitely worth visiting on any visit to Dauphin Island. Bravo!

Imho, they were seating faster than each waitress could keep up and it affected our service for sure. They were slammed, so I left the 4th star. We ordered eveything at once as we were there a while before our waitress Tanya made it over. Beer / wine, gumbo, fried fish dinner with baked potato and fried okra, she had the ahi tuna with sauteed spinach. We finished with cheesecake and a berry sauce. Everything was tasty, I had a fish filet and enough okra for another meal. The view, makes this place, the building architecture, if you like that, I do, and the food is consistently tasty. When we visit the island going forward, this will be our first pick.
