First of all...Kids eat free on Sundays! And they have a self-serve/soft-serve ice cream machine! I usually get a 2 meat plate with Chicken and ribs and split it with my daughter. It's plenty of food! This time we got an extra side of ribs because it usually comes with 3 and you just can't split 3 ribs evenly...(Insert winky smiley face) I love the loaded potato casserole and the Caesar salad, too! Pretty decent if you're looking for a Texas barbecue fix. The brisket is good with decent smokiness, but a little fatty. The chicken is really good too, but can sell out by dinner time occasionally. It tends to be a little spendy-two adult meals and a kids meal will set you back about $30 unless you go on a Sunday, when each kid eats free for every paid adult meal. I was staying at a nearby hotel and ordered from Dickey's via grub hub, so I can't say anything about the atmosphere or ambience. Grub hub was insanely fast, so kudos to grub hub. I got the 3 meat sampler, with pulled pork, chicken breast, and brisket. Sides were BBQ beans and the loaded potato casserole. When I first opened up the Togo container it didn't look very appetizing. Meat looked dry and the brisket was destroyed because who ever cut it, did so with the grain, rather then across the grain. That's straight up brisket abuse. It would probably be pretty good had it been cut correctly. The chicken breast was kind of dry, but I sort of expected that. It was flavored well. The pulled pork was pretty standard. I did find some tasty bark amongst the pulled pork. The sauce was pretty standard, nothing really stands out. I believe I got the original, though I did ask for a side of Spicy. Both containers of sauce tasted identical if one was spicy. The bbq beans were pretty good. A very good balance of flavors. The potato casserole was petty much just mashed potatoes. Not sure what makes it a casserole, but it was good. I assume this place is a chain, given its packaging. I am unfamiliar however. All and all.... 2.5 to 3 stars. It's adequate. I'd go a solid 3 had the brisket not been molested so badly. read more

We enjoy this Dickey's location for delicious BBQ during lunch or dinner! The pork is sustainably raised with no nitrates and no nitrates added. No artificial colors or flavors and no added hormones. The chicken is humanely raised and cage-free. I really enjoy the barbecue beans, mac and cheese, cream spinach, baked potato casserole, and potato salad for my side dishes. Of course not all at the same time. This location offers free Wi-Fi as well as free ice cream for kids and adults alike! Their iced tea is really good. Kids eat free every Sunday! My wife and I decided to give Dickey's a try and used their website ordering for a curbside pickup order for a lunch. We were celebrating our oldest daughter finishing the school year with good grades, and because she loves barbecue ribs, and because we had not yet experienced a Dickey's BBQ meal, we decided to give them a try. The online ordering was quick and easy, and the meal was ready exactly when they said it would be. We sent our daughter for the curbside pick up and she reported that it went down with ease. We ordered ribs for four and they were cooked to perfection. We couldn't have been happier with the flavor and all the sides were excellent. The only reason this review did not receive a five star rating is because we had ordered our ribs with two sauces, Original Recipe, and Hot Buffalo, but neither were included with the order when my daughter opened it upon arriving home. This was quite a disappointment because we were looking forward to comparing Dickey's sauces with others we have tried. As it was though, I ended up using some Stubbs BBQ sauce we had in the fridge. Nevertheless, based on the tasty food we received, we will be ordering again from Dickey's, but next time, I will instruct my daughter to make sure that the order is complete at pick up before bringing it home. In short, one direct comment to management, good food, quite delicious, but please double check before handing a pick up order off to the customer. read more

The first time I had dickeys was back when I lived in Ridgeland, MS. They built one in the town over, Madison. Been in love ever since. But this was about four years ago, right before I moved to Mobile! When I moved here I was so sad to learn there wasn't a dickeys anywhere close. They had a Shane's at Airport and Hillcrest which was pretty good but it went out of business. When they opened the stores in Mobile I was over the moon! Dickeys has the best BBQ, friendliest staff, and cleanest restaurant than any BBQ place I've ever been to! Not to mention complimentary ice cream. I would highly recommend it. read more

Omg! This is so good. We got the brisket, baked potato casserole and Mac and cheese. All three of our crazy picky kids ate, some getting seconds. The meat was tender and didn't even need any sauce. That is until I had a bit of some of the most tender juiciest seasoned just right barbq pork sandwich I've had n a long time. And the place was nice n inviting yet with just the right amount of simplicity. No waitress so kinda offset the price which was fair for barbq that good. Was very unhappy. Workers were rude and when I contacted company on Facebook got no response of a sorry or anything. Went to another location in MS and was very happy showed one of the workers a picture of what I got at the location in AL and she asked what was that? If a worker didn't even notice what I had gotten how did the store think that was ok to give a customer. The location was dirty! The ice cream machine had spilled and no one cleaned it. Tops were off of the sauces and flies were dead around and the food for what I paid was a mess. I order BBQ for my family regular and host military gatherings and I will drive all the way to the MS location before I go to the one on Airport again. read more

Delicious! We had the smoked turkey and jalapeño cheddar kielbasa with sides of barbecue beans, fried okra and green beans. Truly the best barbecue meal I have had in Mobile. The food is top quality and the manager, Justin, was extremely helpful and welcoming. So glad Dickey's is in West Mobile and I highly recommend to those who love BBQ! read more

Very Disappointed. After having good experiences at Dickey's In Las Cruces, NM (since closed), we were excited to see a Dickey's open in West Mobile. AL. What a let down. The meat was over seasoned and overcooked to the point it was dried out and hard to chew. And it is on the expensive side. The best way I can describe my experience is that I had the most expensive jerky ever. And to boot we didn't get the correct number of rolls. Only one roll with our family pack order. read more

Really displeased with the service here around 8pm on 1/26/17, which is not something I'd normally report. I've served, cooked and managed at a variety of restaurants so I'd like to think I understand the difficulties related to the job, but what I experienced was really unacceptable. I ordered and paid online and when I got there, about 30 minutes later, my order had not even been noticed, and I believe It was the manager who was "helping" me. He didn't say hello when I arrived, just "order down here". Then I explained that I had ordered online, and although it was obvious that he had no idea what I was talking about, he said nothing. They started making my order, which is when I'd expect something like "sorry about that but we'll get it together now", but instead- just silence. So I stood there and waited. Eventually they handed me my food. No apology, no thank you, no see ya later. Silence to the point of awkwardness. I will not be returning. The food was okay, but for the price and lack of friendliness and customer service, not at all worth it. I want to reiterate- I was dealing with the manager. My thought was, if I was the owner of this business, I'd be enraged. read more
