I saw vandals on TikTok and had to try them. My family and I went on Saturday for lunch, and the first thing that caught my eye was the decorations. The decorations were Asian and Latin-inspired, with vibrant colors. I love the lighting and the seating arrangements. Knowing that we were there to try everything we ordered the following items Chicharron with queso The eggrolls Dumplings The fire nanchos Birria Ramen Regular pork ramen Honey chicken tacos Regular fries Pear martini and pineapple old fashion. unquestionably everything we ordered was fantastic. Our waitress was very on top of her game. She made sure our drinks never stopped being filled, and she followed up multiple times to ensure that we truly were enjoying our meal. The next time my family visits, I plan to take them straight from the airport to this restaurant because the atmosphere, food, and vibe are all great. read more

Love the vibe and feel of the place. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The establishment was clean. I ordered a Mexican Mimosa, it was good. I couldn't drink it all. The food was alright. I'd go back to have a cocktail and relax in the atmosphere. read more

We love the chicharrones with the cheese dip and always try something different for an entree. The fried shrimp tacos are so good! Hopefully, you will be lucky enough to have Jackson as your server - he is upbeat and makes great suggestions. read more

If you're looking for a spot in Mobile with bold vibes and creative bites, Pandals is it. The atmosphere is super cool modern, graffiti-covered, a little grunge, but in a really stylish and pretty way. The service was great the girls in there were nice and Emma was so patient with me, because I can be indecisive. The food was a mixed bag for me, but the highs were high!!! The fried dumplings were crispy and flavorful with great dipping sauces. The Korean Chicken Bao Taco? Absolute 10/10 juicy, flavorful, and the kind of dish you'd come back for. The ramen was just okay. I like mine with more seasoning and a little more meat, so I ended up taking it home to spruce it up. Not bad, just not my standout. Oh yeah, I tried the Pumpkin Spice Latte with Caramel cold foam. It was a unique drink for me but very refreshing! Overall, Pandals is worth a visit for the vibe alone, and that Bao Taco is a must-try. I'll definitely be back to check out more of the menu. read more

The food was delicious. Appropriately priced for the current economy. Our waitress was lovely and answered all questions. She even let us substitute the taco of the month into a bao bun- which was delicious. Definitely a hidden gem read more

Food was great. I would view this more as a small plates place. 5.00-6.00 bao buns and 5-6 tacos. Next time will come during happy hour. Brussels were very good. The Korean bao buns were tasty. read more

Awful service! Called for a pick up order they told me 20min, I got there after 30min to give them extra time, maybe after a I got there they just started cooking my order so I ended up waiting a whole hour. First they started with excuses then they just ignored I was there. Terrible read more

Not the best ! Nice service but otherwise pretty sub par food. Cute place and probably good for happy hour. They have a nice bar. But the food is EH OK. Brussels way too sweet but crunchy. The baos are just ok. Tuna wasn't fresh. And the soup dumplings seem way too small for $10. Definitely not home made! Bathroom was filthy ! read more

Feel like there are not many places outside of downtown mobile that have a good cocktail menu and this one does. Very eclectic and good. We came for lunch and got the chorizo rangoons (I could eat 20) these were my favorite menu item. The chicken dumplings were fantastic and came with a red curry dipping sauce that packed the punch. Their taco of the month was a bahn mi taco. It was yummy but there was a little too much sauce in it so got very messy. Not many people in on a workday after a hurricane but it's a cute fun spot for a girls night or simply a date night read more

I walked in and stood at the door for 10-15 minutes and could not get service. The workers only looked at me.

Good food. Trendy atmosphere. Fast service. It was recommended while I was in town and I'm glad I gave it a try!

This restaurant is a great modern place to go. Great tacos and asian bowls. When you get a rice bowl its a lot of food for a great price and it is great a day old aswell so its perfect place to go with family. They have great service with a well designed places and a nice place to try. read more

Came here on a Saturday, it was not that busy. It took 20 minutes for them to take my drink order and give me a food menu. Cocktail tasted like just juice. I ordered the red light district noodles, it says they come with an "jammy egg". These eggs were completely raw. Runny white all over the place. I had to scoop them out because that's disgusting. read more

My wife and I just had lunch at Vandal's. What a great restaurant we had their taco of the month which was a buttered shrimp with tempura served in a taco. Absolutely delicious. This place is awesome! Came here after the airport and waiting to get picked up. We got the boa with shrimp and Al pastor buns and the birria tacos and omg wow.... This place is a delight to all the senses. It's so colorful in this cozy spot. I loved all the murals and chandeliers. All the servers were delightful and friendly. Now the food..the portions are large and the food was delicious. It is a fusion spot and it did not disappoint! We tried the street fries, soup dumplings, chorizo wontons, hot honey chicken thigh with fried rice and the banh mi. Whew!! I had to pack up my food because we ordered "too much" but it was worth it. And the price point was reasonable too. I'm going back for the short ribs on my next visit!! read more

So I tried Vandals Street Kitchen. I can't remember the name of the restaurant that was at this location previous to Vandals but I wanted to try it as well. I don't know what made me want to go there but it might have been the name alone. I also like the color scheme in their signage. Whatever it was I'm glad I did. There's always a dilemma when trying a new restaurant. I want to try everything on the menu that sounds good. Vandals has plenty to choose from. They had appetizers like street corn, pot stickers, egg rolls, and even chorizo wontons. I have to try the chorizo wontons next time. They also had sticky short rib, El Pastoritto, and Korean fajitas for main dishes. Add Korean fajitas to the list for next time. I ended up selecting the hot honey chicken. For some reason hot honey chicken seems to be the craze nowadays. I had been seeing hot honey sauces in grocery stores I frequent lately and I decided to get initiated. I ordered online and the wait time indicated it would be at least 30 minutes. As I was driving to pick up my order I received a text that said my order was ready. My order was ready 10 minutes earlier than expected. When I arrived at Vandals the parking lot was full. I had to park in this kind of service road in front of the restaurant. Full parking lots are usually a good sign that the food is really good. The place was packed when I got inside. The outdoor area was filled up too. I couldn't wait to try my food. I'll say the food did not disappoint. The hot honey chicken came with either fried or white rice and pickled vegetables. I did the fried rice. It was delicious along with the pickled vegetables. My only gripe is that I wish there were more pickled vegetables. Now the chicken was really a delight. It was fried especially well. It had a nice crunch to it. The meat was very tender. It was a juicy chicken breast that had lots of flavor. I loved how the sweetness and spiciness complimented each other. It was not overly spicy or overly sweet. It was perfect. I give my first Vandals Street Kitchen visit 5 stars. I will definitely come back!! read more

When we entered Vandals I had high hopes for this place. The food was just ok. The best part was the ambience, cucumber margarita and the tres leches bread pudding. Came to this place spontaneously on a whim with my gf. I'd like to start off by saying ATMOSPHERE is great, love the maximalism n urban designs inside the restaurant. The customer service is great & everyone is very welcoming. My ONLY issue-the food. We ordered bowls and it tasted as if someone dumped vinegar throughout the entire dish. Also there was something in my gfs drink and the forks handed to us were dirty. Perhaps it was just a bad day or a poor selection in the food that day. Willing to give this place another try but I was initially disappointed. Also the mix between mexican n Korean? Very confusing. Feels more like a bar than restaurant read more

We waited nearly 30 minutes after getting our drinks, and no one ever came back to take our food order. The restaurant wasn't overly busy (we were sat immediately) but the service was extremely slow and inattentive. Our waitress passed by us multiple times, but she stayed and chatted with her other tables for extended periods of time. We eventually gave up and left disappointed. Definitely not the experience we expected. read more

I really wanted to give this place five stars. The menu looks awesome. The decor is way cool. The service is rockstar. The people are so nice. But man the food is bland. It's fresh, but it's bland. Please please put some attitude into the food so I can come back and bump the stars. This was seriously the hardest three stars I've ever given. I would love to make this my stop for food on the way home from the airport. read more

Five Stars all the way! Vandals is a super stylish (great art on the walls) hidden gem (literally, because it's a little hard to see from the road & we passed the entrance to the parking lot on our first try). We were visiting from Miami for Mardi Gras & struggling to find a place with good vegetarian options for my brother. He suggested Vandals bc he saw they had a veggie taco on the menu (which he said was epic), and it turned out to be a great experience for all of us. The birria tacos & "red light district" ramen were some of the best we've EVER had. They had a full bar & some good beers (more local options on tap would be even better) & the staff were friendly. Super impressed & a little surprised it wasn't more crowded on a Friday evening. We NEED one of these in Miami (it would THRIVE in the Wynwood area)! . 100% worth trying this place if you're in west Mobile. You will not regret it! read more

I went here not knowing what to expect, and I thought it was great! My wife and I ordered the tacos and bao buns, and both were delicious. Five stars to the veggie tacos and Korean fried chicken bao buns. Also, the inside is super nice. Great atmosphere, and it is clear that they put a ton of effort into the decor. Really loved how it looked. Lastly, the service was wonderful. Really attentive and polite. It was overall a really great experience for me and my wife! read more

I really do try to go out of my way to support good local spots, and since this one is still getting on its feet I'm not going to be too harsh. We dined here for the first time last night, a Friday. Arrived around 7 and wasn't expecting it to be so packed, but the wait wasn't too long. During really busy hours can also lend to a less than stellar experience so I'm factoring that in as well. The atmosphere is really modern and cool. It's small though, and with so many people it gets very loud. When our name was called, the only seating were two stools at the bar, not what I had hoped for our evening out, but it is what it is. The first thing I look at when evaluating a restaurant is their beer selection, and I do have to be honest here that the only beers on offer, except one, are all mass produced industrial products, and the single microbrew was an IPA So ended up settling for a brand of beer-water that happens to be stocked here in cans. The can was brought and sat in front of me. Not opened, no glass, no napkin. I don't expect every restaurant or bar to employ a beer cicerone, but still. From what I could see of the wines, they were the typical lower priced variety most every restaurant serves. We ordered two appetizers as we continued to look over the entrees. We had chorizo wontons and fried chicken wings coated in gochujang sauce. Both were very good, but I do have to point out that if I had tried the chorizo wontons not knowing what they were, I would have never known chorizo was a component. They are filled with cheese and served with a cheese sauce for dipping. Very tasty, just no discernible chorizo flavor and the double cheese factor is redundant. A creamy cilantro-ginger dip would have paired amazingly. The chicken was hot, juicy, crispy, plump, and just spicy enough. I almost want to go back and see if I can try them fried and not tossed in sauce but with the sauce served on the side to appreciate the flavor of the chicken with the gochujang as an accent rather than so pronounced. But they were still good they way the kitchen makes them. Try them! All said and done, it was a busy night for the wait staff and kitchen and the dining room was very loud so we opted to leave after the appetizers and beer, but we'll be back on a slower day and I'll update this critique accordingly. There is so much on their very creative menu I look forward to trying. read more

This review is specifically about the food and not the whole atmosphere of the restaurant as I ordered through DoorDash. But even great atmosphere won't make up for the food I received. I ordered the Red Light district ramen for $20 dollars, now good ramen at that price point I would say is totally justified, however, this was not it. The noodles were absolutely disgusting, it tasted like raw dough, you can't even separate the strands so it was just one raw blob, I had to push it aside in fear that it might make me sick. The "broth", if you can even call if that, tastes like if someone took supermarket pork broth and dumped in a ton of soy sauce and garlic flavoring, it is extremely overwhelming and unpleasant. The only thing worth eating in this ramen was the chashu, but that's pretty hard to mess that up unless you were using old meat. So one star goes to the chashu and one goes to the fact that I did not visit in person. And after this experience, I definitely won't be ever. read more

I went out to eat here after work with co-workers. We tried a variety of appetizers. (I forgot the names of them, sorry, but they were different and tasty). I ordered the Hong Kong wings, pickled vegetables, and shrimp fried rice. Plenty of leftovers to say the least. The atmosphere is very cool. We went before 7pm so the environment was good for families as there were families there with children. The murals on the walls are beautiful. This is a fun restaurant to try out, small and intimate. Paul was our waiter, and was super cool and professional. I will return. Co-workers and I enjoyed the outing with our boss. read more

This place is amazing - the decor is tastefully unrefined (walls are covered in graffiti), the staff are super friendly & courteous, and the food is nothing short of delightful. Like really impressive: bowls, tacos, apps, you name it there isn't a bad item on the menu. In a 5 day trip, I visited three times to try as many items as I could and every. single. one. was delicious. Bottom line, come check this place out!
