My pregnant wife and I eat pizza once every about 6 months. We were excited to celebrate a great week and have our favorite pizza... 2 hours after ordering on the app, it arrives. It's someone else's food. Wrong address, wrong name, wrong food. The pizza was plastered to the top of the box like straight out of a movie. I've worked for Dominos and Papa John's. I know how long it takes to make a pizza and I know the expectations of answering the phone. After I had been on hold for 20 min, I stayed on the phone while I took the food back to the store. I hung up when I got there and the phones weren't ringing. I explained the situation to the girl behind the counter. She thanked me for bringing it back and was surprised when I fallowed up with that I had yet to receive mine. She looked up my order and said that it was out for delivery. I explained that I doubt it'll show up (spoiler, it didn't). I said that it'll probably be cold. She asked the manager if he could make my order again. The manager was the one making the pizza. The issue with that is that while he's dealing with me, his pizza making is halted to a complete stop. He said the correct words but the way it was said made me feel like he did not care. He offered to make it but it would be another 45 min or he could just issue me a refund. My feelings were confirmed when I explained that I had already waited over 2 hours and I can't have my wife wait for 3 hours. It was 1 pizza and some breadsticks. I can toss a za and breadsticks in less than 2 min and slide it into the rotation. There were only 3 pizzas actively on the line. No excuse. As he was showing the girl how to do a refund. He whispered to her "I don't have time to do refunds" as if it's her fault. As a very experienced manager, myself, he did not take advantage of the situation to make a customer happy, do right by the mistakes, properly teach his employees how to remedy through example and now, my wife is telling her friends and family about her horrible experience. Btw, I think I saw multiple people walking back into the store with their food to be returned. I took a deep breath in my car feeling bad for the, clearly new employee, that was at the register and watched a driver swaying side to side carrying a stack of pizza warmer bags out to his car for delivery that were stacked well above his head. This store is not like other Papa Johns. Their customer service is horrible and it shows through the product they send out. I posted pictures of just two of the orders they have messed up (because these were inedible) . This last time Josh and Elliot were rude. Don't bother calling or emailing to get your order fixed no one calls back. There are other pizza choices. Pick up yours from another store or another pizza place. Ordered two pizzas, told the little girl to double cut the pizza, she misunderstood and wrote "no cut" on the pizza. Called back to PJ when my employee brought back the pizzas and explained the issue to Johnathan. These pizzas were meant to feed employees with smaller slices, Johnathan didn't care one bit, just said "ok" when i explained the issue. Offered to replace pizzas if i brought these back, like seriously? Management should retrain employees on the importance of customer service. Only reason this location got one star, it's because it's the lowest rating I can give them. Reading other reviews from different customers we share the same issues. Staff unfriendly and will argue with you. Every time they run a special they run out of dough. .Pizza place running out of dough is like a bank running out of money, should not happen. When I went in to pick up my pizza some of the employees we're outside smoking right in front of the pizza place I found it to be very unprofessional. The young man who came to wait on me did not have a mask on as per the city regulation and had very little knowledge of how the cash register operated. Placed an online order to pick up on my way home and about 5 minutes after I did so, they called to say they were out of wings which was a major part of our order and asked if i wanted to substitute it for something else since I paid over the app. I ended up asking if they could just transfer it to the Highway 90 location and he said he would put it in as a "bad order" on his end and call it over to the other store and I'd have to repay. This location has gotten our order incorrect several times recently. Tonight we received another incorrect order and, even worse, the pizza clearly didn't spend enough time in the oven. The crust was doughy (we ordered thin crust but they gave us hand-tossed...), the cheese wasn't melted all the way and a few pepperonis were cold. First,I WAS a faithful and loyal consumer of papajohns (please check history of my phone with your company). I ordered a pizza (via phone app) at 8:10pm and received an email confirmation that pizza would be delivered between 18-28 minutes. YOUR delivery driver showed up at my door at 9:30PM. This was more than an hour late. Which brings me to my next point. Secondly, I reached out to the manager at this location (which happened to be around the same time the driver showed up). I expressed I was upset do to the pizza being late. His, Elliot's, response was basically SO WHAT. There was NO compassion for this LESS THAN COURTEOUS service (which I've NEVER experienced from Papa John's). After he was ABSOLUTELY obnoxious and rude. I told him to cancel my order and ALL charges to my credit card should be reversed. Thirdly, I opened the door to speak with the driver. She showed more compassion and courtesy than your SO CALLED manager. She explained she was the only driver on schedule for tonight and was VERY apologetic. She stated that when she looked at the order time and her time of arrival she was prepared to be yelled at because of the time of delivery. It was at this time that I realized that not only is Elliot rude, unprofessional, lacks customer service, but he also lacks simple management skills. Tonight is the NBA Finals. WHY is there only one driver scheduled? Also, all orders are accompanied by customers phone numbers. This whole situation could've been remedied with a phone call. If I could give zero stars I would. I placed my order the day before and specified a time for delivery. This was for my sons birthday and I had several people at my home for dinner. I ordered 7 large pizzas. About an hour after my requested delivery time (no idea why I waited so long to check in) I called to find out where my order was. I was told it was in route and the driver was delivering other orders. What???? When I request a delivery time, that's the time I need the order delivered. By the time it was delivered (1 1/2 hrs late) it was cold. Sent an email to mgmt and they were kind enough to offer me 1 free pizza. REALLY!!!!! I just paid for 7 cold ones. I recently placed an order for the first time in many years, figured I would give them a shot. It turned out that was a huge mistake. I ordered 5 pizzas (I had a bunch of hungry teenagers at my house) and was told it would arrive in 85-95 mins. I was already a little upset about the length of time but I let it go. The pizza didn't arrive in 85 minutes, nor 95 minutes but 110 minutes later. I could have just let that go BUT I ordered one pizza for myself, the chicken spinach alfredo; and when I lifted the lid, all the cheese was stuck to the top. Now I was mad. I have never had such bad customer service as I did when I went to this Papa Johns (with the "manager", Elly - not sure if I spelled his name correctly or if that was even his name) located on Schillinger Rd. I placed an order via my phone app. About twenty minutes later, I pulled up to the drive-through window and waited for over ten minutes. I could see people pass the window, but never acknowledge me. My husband (sitting in the car with me) used my phone to call them and ask them if my order was ready because I was sitting at the window. We thought this would help and let them know that our order should be pretty quick considering I already ordered through the app, and they could just hand me the pizza. I spoke to a guy who identified himself as the manager named "Elly" (not sure if I am spelling that correctly). His response to my husband asking "Hey, can you tell me if an order for 'Crowley' is ready? We are sitting at the window and no one has acknowledged us and I just wanted to know" was "No, I can't tell you if your order is ready. I am dealing with other customers". With that response, this guy has no business in management. At that point, no one was rude to him, we simply wanted to know if our pizza was ready. We then asked again "So, you can't even tell me if the pizza is ready?" Again, Elly responded "No. I am dealing with other customers - you can drive around and walk in and then I will look and see if your order is ready". I admit, at that point, we were frustrated and had an attitude with him. So we hung up, I drove around, parked, walked in - without saying a word to Elly, he looked at me and said "Are you the person who just called about your order?" I said "yes", then he said "you have an attitude and I am not going to give you your pizza, I will refund it". I said "You're telling me that you won't even give me the pizza that I have been waiting in the drivethrough for over ten minutes for?!" (I admit was upset and rude at this point). He said "that's right", then asked me my name, then threw the receipt at me, in which point, I threw an ink pen at him. Should I have been rude to him? No. But, this is the worst customer service I have EVER had. Prior to me being rude, he was completely out of line. Whomever promoted this guy to manager should re-think their decision.
