We finally made it to this amazing and highly recommended restaurant in Old Towne Daphne. It did not disappoint. We were able to get same day reservations for 5:45. This turned out to be a perfect time on a Saturday evening. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I believe there was only one or at most two other tables taken when we arrived. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At first glance the restaurant gives you the feel of an upscale establishment with an intimate flare. The tables are simple but elegant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Each table had a place card showing the last name on the reservation. What a great way to make guests feel welcome. The staff were friendly and accommodating. There seemed to be a lovely selection of mixed drinks ranging from the classic Old Fashion to the nouveau Mojito. The wine list was average and the beer choices displayed were from the local Fairhope Brewery as well as the standard domestics. The menu itself offered small plates and shareables along with full plate items. The menu listed only one salad, which in this case, seemed less appealing. The salad boasted a sweet type of dressing combined with strawberries and blueberries. This, in my opinion, was a little off putting. Not every patron will enjoy this type of salad; another option would have been nice. I chose one of the specials, Beef Bourgeon served over creamy mashed potatoes, while my husband selected the flat iron steak served over homemade French fries. My husband enjoyed his choice, I was disappointed in mine. It came with virtually two very small pieces of beef, one pearl onion, ( the description stated pearl onions, mushrooms and carrots), a few mushrooms, carrots and a heaping amount of gravy. It lacked flavor, zero seasoning of any kind and it was lukewarm. Overall, I was a little disappointed. It was kind of like looking at a shiny new car. Everything appears to be fabulous. Eaten here several times over the year I've always found their food to be both creative and flavorful. They have good specials that sometimes can be outside the box. I enjoy that. Their filet is one of the best around. They have a grouper dish with Risotto that stands out too. Along with the good food is an enjoyable atmosphere. That's important to me. Service has always been good . I haven't notice unusual turnover in the staff which generally indicates good service. I think customers like to see familiar faces at a restaurant and KOM has that. Of the offerings in Daphne, this place is a regular spot for me and my family. They have nice outdoor seating and the inside is well spaced. My only gripe is that I sometimes like to eat late and they close fairly early. It's probably better for me to eat earlier so it's not a major issue. read more

Great little quaint restaurant for date night. They don't have room for big parties. My husband and I went and we got sautéed crab claws and bacon wrapped shrimp for starters. Both were sooooo delicious and cooked to perfection. For our meals we had the pan seared grouper and filet mignon. The grouper was served with a creamy risotto which my husband loved. He said the fish tasted great as well. I ordered the filet mignon done medium but received an almost well done steak. It tasted great nonetheless but I would've preferred the medium that I ordered. For dessert we ordered bread pudding which was good too! Not the best we have ever had but it was still yummy. I wish it had more moisture, it was just a tad dry. But overall, a very very delicious dinner and will be back soon! read more
