Part 1: My fiancé made a reservation a few months back to celebrate both of us getting new jobs. When we arrived at the restaurant we found out the reservation was made for the day prior on accident - our fault we complexity understood, however the lady who was going to seat us was completely rude and was no help in the situation. Part 2: I made a surprise reservation this time for Valentine's Day weekend (made sure it was for the correct day this time). Meal started off great, ordered a few drinks and the crab claws for an appetizer. The main course took a little longer than expected but it was a Saturday night afternoon so we didn't mind. Once our food came out, our server hastily dropped our meals off, didn't ask if we need anything else (I had been finished with the first round for about 5-10 mins and water was completely empty). We tried out food and the risotto was complete bland, along with the steamed green beans. We waited for about 20 mins to hopefully get the attention of our server but she never returned (Had time to sing and dance behind the bar though). Finally was able to get the attention of another server to bring some salt and pepper to bring the risotto somewhat alive with flavor. Waitress finally came over when found out we were not happy with our meal, never asked if I needed another drink or even would like more water...at this point I finally just asked for the check. Cute neighborhood restaurant with excellent food. The interior is a well appointed white table cloth kind of place. Full bar and large wine list. Our food was tasty- we got the crab cake small plate, grouper entree and chicken piccata. The chicken could have had one more cutlet on it and less pasta for the $22 you're paying. We had dinner at Kitchen on Main last night. As a new restaurant & only 2 Yelp reviews it was hard to evaluate the rating. The reviews on Facebook were glowing, so we thought we would give it a try. Our dinners and service were the exact opposite of the poor review one Yelper gave this restaurant. The staff and the chef came by and made sure everyone was satisfied with their meals and service. This is a gem in Daphne and deserves your support. We will be back. read more

Beautiful atmosphere, the waitstaff and bartenders are amazing. The steaks will melt in your mouth. The chef is always in the dining room checking on customers and making sure you have a great experience. Oh and the appetizers are great, highly recommended. read more

To clarify, this review has nothing to do with the quality of food or food service at the Kitchen On Main. This review is entirely about customer service and a misunderstanding on the restaurants part of why people place reservations for meals. We recently attempted to place a reservation for tomorrow evening at 6:30 PM for a table for four. The response was prompt and polite but was very surprised by the content of the reply. Our reservation was turned down due to limited tables and a small dining room size that only a few reservations were taken; holding the balance of tables open for walk-ins. They further advised that if we wanted to, we could still come to the restaurant and if there's a table open they will seat us and if not, they will put us on the list. It's regretful but our first experience with this specific restaurant is likely to keep us from attempting any further contact. read more

Our small town Kitchen on Main is getting big time attention & rightfully so! It is quaint & charming & the food is fab! The dilemma is choosing because everything is so delicious. The seafood always fresh & superb, the filet melts in your mouth & when solo it is a treat to sit at the bar & enjoy appetizers & libations while visitIng with other locals & their friendly staff. What a thrill to my tastebuds!! The sautéed crab claws are the best I've ever tried.....that sauce....oh my!! That sauce makes one want to lick the plate clean. I've tried almost everything off the menu and have yet to find something I did not like. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The chef/owners are so friendly and welcoming. First, it is loud inside; made worse by them playing loud music so that everyone eating has to talk louder to hear one another. The table layout is bad, way too crowded. Our food was not good at all, and especially for the price. I got the scallops, they were overcooked, and the risotto was thin and mushy; the green beans were bland. My wife ordered a mojito, and it was made with some sort of pre-mix, had a weird aftertaste. Skip this place, money is better spent elsewhere. read more

I've never given a restaurant a 1 star! But this place is getting one. The food looks amazing on Facebook, and the reviews look good on Facebook. But you know what they say..... Everything looks better on Facebook. We should have walked out, when we were seated RIGHT by the door. When I say right by the door, I literally closed the door sitting in my chair. But the waitress moved us, so we stayed. There are only 10 tables. There should only be about 7 or 8. The tables are so close, that you actually touch chairs when you try to walk by. The waitresses touch the chairs as they are working. The music is too loud! With the music being too loud, people are talking too loud. We couldn't hear each other talking from across the table. I ordered a mojito. It had 2 mint leaves, and made out of a premade mix. Horrible after taste. I ordered the Pork Belly Wontons, and Brussel Sprouts. The pork belly was tough. The brussel sprouts tasted like frozen or boiled. They were so mushy. My husband ordered the Seared Diver Scallops. They were overcooked, and the risotto tasted like rice with butter. His green beans tasted like frozen bagged green beans with no seasoning. We left and went to Southwood Kitchen for dessert. This was the worst meal we have eaten out, at a "fine dining" restaurant. read more

Hidden jewel in Old Town Daphne. Dorothy is the best chef on the Eastern shore. i have never had a meal that wasn't fantastic and Dorothy always comes around to make sure everything is as ordered. Blink and you might miss seeing this restaurant on Main Street, but it would be your loss if you did. The ambience is the perfect gathering place for relaxing and enjoying drinks and amazing food with friends and family. As for the food, it is unquestionably some of the best I have ever had. When I was there last, my husband had the seared tuna salad, my son had the chicken piccata and I had the crab cakes. We had the sautéed crab claws as an appetizer and the sauce on them was bar none. We were able to walk right in on a Thursday night for our first time, although we were told you normally need reservations on the weekends. Table of 4 with 2 elementary aged kids. We had the pork belly wontons, sliders ,the grouper and fries(shared everything) good selection of wine. The seasoning and flavor was spot on . The atmosphere was great. A new addition to my regular go-to restaurants on the Eastern Shore. We have enjoyed dinner there a couple of times and walk away amazed at the food and service. The menu has a nice selection to chose from and after having the steaks and seafood, you can't go wrong. Appetizers are unique and the crab claws are among the best I've ever had. Desserts look amazing but I'm usual full from the ample portions from my meal. The wine, cocktail and beer selection is impressive and the mixologist behind the bar are always introducing new and interesting specials.
